Jhay-R I have been wondering this ever since I have seen this Naruto picture... Anyway, Kurenai has the ability to use the Shadow Clone Jutsu. She clones herself, and then kisses, fondles, and in the end has a sexual relationship with the clone. This same question came to mind when I thought of the Kikyo/Kagome pairing... Since Kikyo is with her reincarnation, isn't Kagome basically just Kikyo in the future? I've always thought of this when I'm thinking of this question. "Masturbation is like Procrastination, it feels good at the moment, but in the end, you're just f**king yourself." So, since she's f**king herself, isn't it masturbation, but, it's just really, really, really, really confusing... My question to you, is she a lesbian, or is she just masturbating? I mean, she is in fact doing a girl, but since the girl is her clone, and her clone is essentially herself, what is she doing? I really want to go through this discution, I really whant to read all the 10 pages of it, but I have too many questions that I`ll just answer the first one, than I`ll read all of it later... First of all, this picture, was a fan art or it was something official? I mean, because if it is official, it can change a little bit my eyes about Kurenai sensei. Well, in my conception, think of quantity. I mean, If it envolves 1 body, it is masturbation. 2 bodies, sex. 3 bodies, Menáge, 4 bodies, swing. 5 or more bodies, call me in! lol I mean, it is an orgy. So, if she creates another body to play with, in my opinion it is sex. So she could be bissexual. And very narcisic. The same goes to Kikyo and Kagome (I thought about it sooo much...). If they had a relationship, it would be considered sex, not masturbation, because they are form different bodies. Think of the soul mate concept. It once was one soul that somehow, on any of it`s reencarnation splited onto 2 or more parts. So, when this soul meets it`s part (on other person), it is considered a soul mate. (not only on the oposite sex.) Think about twins too. If they have sex, they are just f**king themselves, but they are different people, so it is not masturbation. Was it helpful somehow?

theUnsuspect Actually, I don't think it could be considered either. neutral Her clone is just...her clone. It's got no mind or will of it's own, so it can't be considered a person, much less a lesbian. I don't know how she feels about this, though. On the other hand, you can't call it masturbation--because even though the clone apparently can't act on it's own, it's still another body. By performing sexual acts on her clone, I don't think she feels the pleasure that she's giving it. But, *shrugs*, I don't really know. Well, as far as I know, *SPOILER* A clone in Naruto has its own will and needs (do you remember on one of first episodes a lot of Narutos fightting to go to the bathroom?) and that is also a plus, When the clone *pufs*, the person who made the clone knows exectly the same thing the clone lived. So, she can know if they enjoyed too... and if they are also a exectly copy, they know what to do... and she too... somehow... well, I`m not able to make this on words at the moment...

Hai Tien its masturbation, because the dictionary definition (well my dictionary) says that masturbation is sex with ones self ninja and I have asked this question since I was a wee lad in 6th grade >.> just like this question, if you make a clone of yourself then kill it, doesn't that count as suicide? I`m loving it! Well I don`t think as suicide, since you will be killing something. But if it just pufs in the air, I think you are finishing a techinique.

Tsuki_no_Otome the shadow clone person is definately a lesbian. she's not masturbating. It may just be a clone of herself that does whatever she says, I desagree... as some people said, she could just be bored, or curious, or even bissexual... Tsuki_no_Otome Kagome and Kikyo isn't a couple that I like to think about, but they're lesbians if you go with that couple. Kagome may be Kikyo's reincarnation, but they are still differant people. If that doesn't work for you, remember that Kikyo doesn't technically have a soul anymore. She's a body composed of earth animated by dead souls. So in a way, she's a differant person than the Kikyo that Kagome was reincarnated from. I think....okay, now I'm confused too. xp They shared the same soul. But just one tiny part stayed on Kikyo`s mud body made by Urasue (all the hate part). But soul is one part of the existence, the experiences they had on life make part of consciense. That makes personality. If they were a couple, they would be lesbians. But just the fact of they once were the same soul doesn`t make them be the same person. I`m thinking about the soul-mate again.

kageling Suulewen If a person is having sex with a clone, such as their identical twin (such twins share the same DNA therefore = clone) people don't think it is masterbating. It's called Twincest. These examples are of people who are (as far as I know I haven't seen either show) separate people. If they can't feel the pleasure of the other then it is sex, not masturbation. However each would be very intelligent as to how the other (which is like or exactly like themselves) likes to be pleased therefore it would be more pleasurable.
Well then, by this definition Kurenai screwing a clone of herself would definitely be sex rather than masturbation--she and the clone don't feel each other's pain/pleasure. Same with Kagome and Kikyo, since they're certainly seperate entities and definitely don't feel each other's pain.
I guess even if Kurenai can completely control the actions of her clone, it could be comparable to giving your partner very precise instructions as to what to do...therefore yeah, it would be sex rather than masturbation.
And so both cases would be situations of lesbianism.
I'm satisfied. Hurrah! Well, but a person that makes a clone knows exactaly all the things the clone lived when it pufs in the air... so she will know if the clones enjoyed it or not...

kageling Queenie Aki did ever the manga or anime show that the replicate move alone or could have their own actions? that is still a possibility so unless that theory isn't proven... for me is still a lesbian... domokun *thinks* how many possibilities with a clone me... ninja sweatdrop
It could still be lesbianism if you look at the fact that the user of kage bunshin is using a female body to get off. However, if you look at the perspective that the bunshin are under the complete, direct control of the user, the user controls them at will so that could well be masturbation--the clones are kind of like an extension of the body in some ways, after all. Then again, it could also be seen as narcissism since you'd kind of be doing yourself. XD
Tough case to consider, really. Not closed that fast. When Naruto made bunshin of himself to beat Sasuke and they all had the stomache, all of them ran to the bathroom, so, somehow, they are organic (this organic thing just remind me another discution about Neon Genesis Evangelion...). They also know that they are a copy, Exemple: Naruto is trying to find the real one, than he tells all the bunshin to puff, so he can find his oponent so, if all the copies puffs, that would remain Naruto and the oponent (that was what Naruto thought...) This remind me about Calvin and Hobbies, one storyline that Calvin made a coply of himself, so, the copy could do his homework and he could be playing, but the copy (just exactly like him) didn`t want to do homework either, so, he made more 5 copies, to meke homework 5 time faster, and none of them did the homework... and so on... lol

When Naruto made bunshin of himself to beat Sasuke and they all had the stomache, all of them ran to the bathroom, so, somehow, they are organic (this organic thing just remind me another discution about Neon Genesis Evangelion...). I agree that they're somehow organic, if I'm thinking the way you are. That part is assumed to be magic. However, they are made of something--shadows, water, for instance--and are not real bodies or people. In that sense, they definitely don't have self-will, or much of it, because they don't really exist.
The other thing is...I really don't remember an instance where Naruto has to command his bunshin with verbal orders or anything, for instance, the way that seperate entities would have to communicate. If they really had to do this, all strategies would be instantly revealed ("Come around from behind him!"), which obviously doesn't happen--thus, they must be linked with a single will/mind. That will would have to be the user's, so they're directly controlled by him or her.
That definitely does create some sticky situations, though...like, damn. I keep thinking that it must be both. XD

So, in the anime it is pretty obivious that the bunshing knows what the plans are before it`s creation, but once it is created, the creator has to talk to them if there is any change. On Shippudden there is some situations were a creator talks to his bunshing by radio (or some comunication device they have on their ears) They aren`t telepatic or something... and they even chat about tactics. The self-will I don`t know too, but they know that they are a bunshing and they have a goal to achieve. I think they have no fear of puff or pain because they know that they are just a weapon, I mean a jutsu. So that is the reason they aren`t afraid of it. because it won`t take much of it. So, if it feels anything will be a mistery for some time... ^^" I agree with you... on that situation can be both, or neither... oh, now my head hurts...
