Olabisi I smiled a little, and could feel my face getting a little red. I appreciated her kind gesture and didn't really know how to handle my self in said situation. I turned around and hid my face in Obadiah's cold, wet, shirt. "Ningependa vizuri sana kama hicho, Kila," I muffled. I couldn't quite get my self to gether. Obadiah I tried to pull away from O as she pushed her face in to my shirt. "O don't do that!" I honestly don't get her. She tends to be greatly affected by what people think of her, but she does silly things like this in public. One would think she were 12, if she didn't look so old. I pulled my shirt away from her clutches, pulled it off, and through it a little farther so she could reach it. ((which revealed his tattoo and badly scared body without him thinking about it)) "O, kuacha ni. that's weird." I looked back up at Kila. "She said she would gladly be your friend, too."((Omg I totally love chicken and soft taco and any thing you can eat out of a bowl!))

Cain Ichimaru Cain nodded to Thalia as she thanked him. He was glad to see her motor skills were still working well too, watching her lift the water to her mouth and take a sip. He did frown when she couldn't tell him the year though. "That's ok. What about your birthday? Do you remember that?" He asked her as a shiver went through his body. Looking up, Cain saw that the sky was getting darker and gray clouds were starting to form above the island. Every now and then a fat drop of water would drop from the heavy clouds and that meant that pretty soon here it would start to downpour. "We should all move inside the tent soon." Cain announced to the others, standing up. He went over and started pulling some large branches off of nearby trees and placing them in a tepee shape over the fire. Then he pulled a few palm leaves down and stuck them to the top of the tepee. That would have to do for now, hopefully keeping the fire dry through the night.

Olabisi If this worked out, Kila will have been my first real friend since I left Kenya. I was going to try every thing in my power to make this work. "I hope I can be a good friend to you," I smiled, letting my accent completely manifest itself. Obadiah "Oh, um... yeah." At that point I had wished she had noticed O's first; it had been showing this entire time, since she changed clothes. Then, perhaps I would have remembered to keep my shirt on. There was no way Kila missed all those scars, unless her eyes were immoderately drawn to my tattoo before she had time to notice. I decided to play it off the best I could. "It's the mark of my Damborri kinship... Should we finish the conversation inside?"EDIT

Kila looked up at hearing Cain and feeling the water drops on her, "Oh, yeah let's finish this inside." She gave them a sheepish grin and stood up holding out a hand for olabisi. ` • . • ● • ۰ • ● • . • ´ || OOC: . . .|/|

Olabisi "Um... yeah. It's pretty think, isn't it?" I grabbed Kila's hand and let her pull me up. I smiled. I felt an unreal easiness as I peered in to her kind eyes, a look I didn't get often from people. Obadiah "I'll answer that in a moment." I got up once O got off of my lap. I went over to the woman who had the concussion and picked her up gently, like O had asked me to do a few minutes ago. "Kid, could you bring that crate?" I asked the little boy, while tapping him with my foot. I couldn't let him sleep out here. Boy I opened my eyes up to a guy jabbing me with his foot. I wasn't all the way asleep, and got up immediately.

She allowed the little boy and Obadiah to enter as well before she followed suit. She smiled in greeting to the others in the tent. She wondered if they'd have to make a campfire circle just so that they can learn everyone's names. She found an empty spot near one of the tree trunks used to hold the tent up and sat there. She patted at the spot next to her for Olabisi to sit. Kila didn't want to say anything but she could tell just how shy and innocent the girl was. She used to be like that once and it was because of her eccentric friends at the time that she grew the courage to step up and say enough. So she could understand (more or less) where it was that Olabisi was coming from. She grinned at her, "C'mon, sit with me?" If there was one thing this girl needed it was a friend, and Kila was more than happy to be that friend. ` • . • ● • ۰ • ● • . • ´ || OOC: And there's my emotional bit for the day xd lol |/|

Olabisi It was very dork in there. Aside from a tiny amount of moonlight, there was nothing to light the place. I'd suggest a fire, but it wouldn't be very smart to set on inside while we slept. I sat next to Kila. I couldn't see much, but I could feel her patting the ground next to her with my feet, which led me to where she was. "I didn't realize it was so dark."Obadiah I placed the woman down in a soft spot and peeked back out side. I grabbed a hawthorn branch I had found earlier and lit it. (it took some time because this wood burns slow) I then stuck it in the mud floor, through the one hole in the middle of the chute we sat on. It caused a dim light, and a bit of heat. At that moment I wished I had answered Kila before, because it was kind of awkward picking the conversation up now. "The answer to your question, Kila, is a rather long one. Did you want the short version?"((I love emotions(n_n) ))

Bree Bree noticed the little guy getting tired and smiled. "Why don't you go into the hut. I made a bed for my nap in there." She offered him before Obadiah kicked his foot. "I'll get the crate for him." She said walking over and picking it up. "Where do you want it?" She asked him. This would allow the boy to escape and take nap.

She grinned both at the light and the heat then turned again to Olabisi, "Not so dark now and it feels nice too. You should be able to sleep comfortably tonight." Hearing the girls' brother ask her if she still wanted to hear the story behind the tattoo, she was admittedly surprised. She didn't think he would want to continue the conversation but she wasn't going to let opportunity escape her. as for if she wanted it short or long... Kila didn't think she would be getting any sleep tonight. There was a reason as to why Kila avoided scary movies: extremely active imagination. Add to that recent events... Yeah, most definitely no shut eye for her. Kila gave him a small, if a bit sad, smile, "However it's more comfortable for you. I don't mind if it's long or short." ` • . • ● • ۰ • ● • . • ´ || OOC: . . .|/|

Obadiah "You can put that crate anywhere out the way." I sat down next to O and pulled my knees to my chest. "Well actually it's not that long. You see in Damborri we have this 'coming of age' ceremony that one as to complete any where between 9 and 14. You do it the day before and of your birthday so you only have 6 chances. You sit before the Chieftain and the elders and they basically evaluate you as a person, as far as your grades go, and how you are seen among the people.
"Then you have to show them that you can make your self a usful adult to the tribe. I played my horn for them, because I wanted to. Then I declared I would be the best warrior/hunter/protector the tribe had seen, and that I would go kill a lion. They let me, and I went out to track one, which I did. I found a full grown one, and attacked it. He broke my weapon and I was left with only my bare hands."At that point I was thinking I said too much. I certainly didn't want them to see me as a cold blooded killer. But I had started now. "I fought it for a while. It was tough. I killed him after a few minutes, threw him over my shoulder, and carried him home. There was this loud celebration when I got there 'cause they all thought I was going to die.
"The next day (my birthday) I got this this tattoo, my exception in to the tribe as a man, and there was the party."((crap I'm being forced to my bed early because I've been sick as a dog for two days.))

Cain Ichimaru After Cain covered the fire as best he could, he went over to grab the oxygen masks from the plane. Tinkering around with one of them, he managed to split the plastic bag open in a way so that it was still attached to the tubing and formed a makeshift funnel around the tube. He then grabbed one of the bamboo section buckets that the other's had brought back from earlier and placed the other end of the tube inside of it. Now he would have to find a way to keep the plastic up so it could catch the rain and direct it into the bucket. Grabbing a couple of sticks, he poked them through the plastic near the corners and then stuck the sticks in the ground so it would hold it up. There. That would do. He then used two other oxygen masks and repeated the process so that they could get a few more buckets of rain water to drink for tomorrow.
Once that was all done, Cain entered the tent with the others just as the rain started to pick up. He had been listening through the fabric of the tent outside to the story being told and he had to admit, that was pretty crazy and impressive. He was glad they had this guy with them, he would probably be the best protection they had. "Remind me never to piss you off..." Cain said to the dark skinned male, entering the tent and sitting down on the ground with all of the others. He glanced over at Thalia to make sure she was still awake. "...Hey. How are you feeling?" He asked her, concern still on his face.

angelmage99 Bree and Taro Bree moved it away from the hut and smiled to the little boy before taking him inside. She probably could rest a bit more. She returned to the mat she made and placed him on there and shared the pillow she made as well. She hoped her skirt didn't ride up while she slept. That and the guys around her weren't pervs. She would have asked Taro to be the other person to sleep next to her. The Japanese always seemed to have a rule of thumb about these kinds of situations, but Taro was outside and close to the fire. He probably was planning on keeping watch. The redhead wasn't ready for more sleep yet so while the others went to dream land, she stayed up and looked at the ceiling.
