"I'm sure it is... it's also unsettling to know that parts of you are running around without your knowledge or permission... though prolly not as unsettling as actually being a man-created non-man being." she giggled at the awkwardness of her last sentence and plopped down on the ground, now quite convinced that the dragons wouldn't eat her.

"You refer to those who have your visage."

~The dragon stated.~

"We are all here because of the vision of a single human. He wishes to mold the Gaia universe toward his own designs. Stealing artifacts from brief creations, creating us through his combinations of magic and science, probably through the artifacts he collects. His end is unclear though, for we don't even know if he has a final goal."

"Yup, Azure's pretty mysterious... come to think of it I don't really know his motives for anything, like when he adopted me? Seems totally random..."
she replied thoughtfully, staring off a bit.

"He seems to like to collect things. Maybe you are just another trophy on his wall..."

~The dragon stopped.~

"I appologise, that doesn't sound good."

She giggled, "Nope... not really, but it's ok... even if it's true." She stared thoughtfully for a moment then continued to speak, " You see, it gives me somewhere to belong, right? I've been around this place for awhile and many of my friends and hangouts have come and gone, but I've always had a home to go to. A... slot on the trophy shelf that... belongs to me, yeah? Besides, Azure- no, Dad, has never treated me coldly, always with the respect I've expected. You can't ask for much more in this world."

~The dragon sighed.~

"No, I suppose not."

Teep laughed rather abrubtly and hopped up to her feet, "Why the sigh? Is the conversation getting boring or just depressing?" she half twirled-half bounced in happy gesture, "So do you dragons have anything fun to do or do you just sit and have deep philly-o-soft-tickle debates?"

"Fun?"

~It seems like the dragon quirked its brow, though it didn't really have a brow, more like a lizard squint.~

"I never thought of doing anything special. I heard that soon the dragon kind would be used, but until then..."

"Aw man, seriously? I half expected dragons to have the coolest games! What do you guys do then? Sit and wait for Mr. Stickuphisass-scientist to do a check up on you?"

"Games... Hmm. Well, we do like to gamble our treasure. The Hunters bring us plenty of treasure to keep us docile, we seem to be born that way, greedy for shiny coins and works of art... I wonder if all dragon kind suffers that stereotype?"

~He sweeps his tail over Teep's head as he turns away from her. Lumbering towards the nearest cave. He called over his shoulder.~

"If you wish to see the gamble, follow me."

Teep smiled widely as she nodded and followed the dragon, trotting at a fast pace alongside him.

~The air became heavier with smoke as they moved deeper down the tunnel. It was dark for several minutes after leaving the light of the main room until Teep saw golden sparkles. The tunnel opened up on a large chamber, much like a colleseum, similar in scope as the main room leading to the hanger. A large gathering of dragons were littered about the area, looking down from their perches like spectators as five dragons were in the middle of a match.

As Teep watched, it seemed that the game revolved around betting to a growing pot in the center ring, while drawing and comparing of six symbols within a secondary ring, and the moving of stacks of stones within a outer ring.~

Teep watched the game intently, trying to figure out the rules of the game while ocassionally looking to make sure the dragon who had accompanied her wasn't going anywhere else with out her.

~It seemed that the six symbols represented the six representative elements: earth, fire, air, water, life, and death. There seemed to be a set of complex rules over what element beats what element during each turn.

The stones seemed to represent the strategy in how powerful the symbol became and how much one lost or won during a specific turn. Another set of complex rules seemed to control the allocation and strategy behind the movement of stones.~

Teep smiled when she saw the elements, she quite liked elemental powers, but after awhile of trying to figure out the rules her brain was starting to hurt. She turned to her friend(?) and asked somewhat sheepishly, "You guys got a rule book or something?... In English?"
