Lorzerai paused and reveiwed the question in her mind. "You go for the big questions," she commented. She didn't want to tell Aros anything about the use of magical beings, but she had to answer the question. Fortunately, he had posed it in such a way that she could answer without saying anything much. She didn't know where he was going with the questions, though, so Lorzerai stayed cautious. "I've heard something." she stated. For her question, she pondered for just a moment before asking bluntly, "Of what breeding are you?"

(Yes, Vance is the full blood, devil-style demon. Wow, this is gonna be interesting. Remember what happened to Vance before. He was captured by humans at a very young age, and then trained by an elf. Make sure he can get in important lines, and maybe some leway for my ideas too. Your's are perfect though!)
"(sigh) Lydia... you're in there right, sweetheart? I can hear you brushing."
Vance leaned against the door of Lydia's room, something which he knew better than to do most of the time, but right now he was a tad stressed. He kept talking through the door as he heard her coming to open up, "I'm afraid there's some trouble with me..."

"They're the only ones worth asking." he said, smiling slightly. "My father was a wolf youkai noble, and my mother a demon priestess."

Lydia put down her comb on her bed and walked over to the door opening it slowly and closing it softly after Vance had come in. "Here, take a seat." she said, motioning to the couch, and herself plopping down her bed, opposite to him, knocking her comb off her bed. She sighed and reached down and picked it up, placing it in the center of the bed. "What's wrong?" she said, worried.

((oh eyah....))
"They are killing children to feul this machine." he said, leaning foreward again. "And not just magic ones. They've killed some human babies as well."

Lorzerai began picking dirt from under her nails. "So ask me a question," she said boredly. She knew he was lying to get her to react; humans were too underpopulated to kill pure babies. Human adult rebels, maybe, but not children. Of course, half-breed children were never a guarantee.
((You probably ought to tell me what this machine is for.))

(( you know anything about ff7? basically that machine Shinra tried to use.)) he smiled. She was unemotionional, like he had guessed. a cold hard killer."Why do they kill only selected human and magic children. We have found there is some pattern; some simularity between those they kill. It isn't random."

((I don't recall.... explain?))
Lorzerai switched to her other hand. "I'm a re-trainer. I don't work in Experimental. Sorry, I don't know." She shrugged and eyed Aros amusedly. "So, what's your position?" she wondered. He had to be a decent rank, she figured, to be interrogating. Half or more of the rebels were really just refugees rather than actual activists.

((basically, a big laser gun that can target a certain place and obliverate it)) "Assasian, Stealth and Unarmed Class, Level I. Other unofficial things." He said, shrugging. "Alright then, Miss Lorzerai, Explain to me the nature of some of your various methods. The Locater chips, in particular. the frequency seemed to have....agitated one of our members quite badly, if you recall."

Lorzerai rolled her eyes, and almost mentioned that he hadn't phrased his words as a question, but it was close enough for her. "The tracking beacons are a simple chip that release a frequency beyond normal human hearing on a wide broadcast. A reciever can then pick up the signal within about five miles or so." Lorzerai hesitated, then continued. "We've also set up an array of recieving towers in all developed and semi-developed areas." There. She'd volunteered information. Didn't he feel more like trusting her already? Lorzerai rolled her neck around. "Now, what breeds of your kind have telepathic powers?"

Finally. Some useful nformation. He thought. "It's mostly random, though all dragons have that ability, and most elves have some ability. It does depend on genetics a bit, but how we have not yet discovered." "Now then...the devices that prevent magic from being used. How do they work?"

Lorzerai raised her eyebrows in surprise at the demon. There were several varieties of magic inhibitors, and Lorzerai used to have at least one always on her person. She cocked her head. "I am not in Tech either. Surely you don't expect a simple trainer to understand how all of her gadgets work. I'm dissapointed in you. I had some hopes that you would be the first actually intelligent non-human I had ever spoken with. I guess I was wrong." Her derisive tone was intended to grate upon his instinctive objection to being insulted. "What would you consider your pathetic rebellion's biggest secret?" she asked him.

He smiled slightly at her comment, though it was meant for insult. That means you did think I was intelligent, dearie. he thought, but did not voice it. "I suppose our location. Why do you re-train? some would say it would be better just to kill off those who did not wish to bear your yoke."
