"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up"  Colours laughed a little when she took a bit out of the ice cream so abruptly. He remembered that she was a demon, and probably hadn't had ice cream before.
"Evangeline, you don't have to bite it. Just lick it a little, it'll last longer.
Colours took a small bite out of the chocolate ice cream,
"Do you like the vanilla one, though?"

Evangeline sheepishly looked at Colours and gave the ice cream a small lick. The flavor was so good.
"The vanilla is very good. How is the....chocolate?"
She followed his example and took a small bite of hers.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours smiled, and held the chocolate ice cream up to her mouth,
"Here, Try it!"
He nodded a little. He was glad that she liked it, and it made him a little more relaxed that she appeared to be having a good time.

She leaned foward and gave the chocolate a small tasting lick, eyes lighting up again.
"This is good too!"
She leaned back and laughed merrily.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colour withdrew his hand and took another small bite out of the chocolate ice cream.
"I'm glad you like it!
He blushed a little, before looking back at her.
"You know, we can come back here again more often you'd like."

Evangeline looked at Colours and a blush similar to his suffused her cheeks.

She gave a half smile.

"You have no idea how badly I can mess this up" Colours looked away for a second, only to once again, have a deep red shade developed across his face. He knew he was blushing. He knew it was completely noticeable.
"So...Evangeline."
He paused for a second and rubbed the back of his head, deepening the blush to the point where it looked like he had a fever. His voice was shaking, and he began stuttering, something he hadn't done in awhile
"Does...Does this count a-as, as, as a date?"

Evangeline watched his face go red. She resisted the urge to reach foward and poke his cheek.
"So...what?"
Evangeline stared quietly for a minute at him.
"A date?"
She blinked and looked down at the ice cream, considering. She saw his nervousness and took a breath.
"Yes. I suppose it does."
She was proud she hadn't joined him in stuttering, but said it very clearly.

"Did.D-Did you want a little more of the chocolate one?"

Evangeline got a wiked gleam in her eyes as he offered her more ice cream.
"Yeah."
She leaned foward once more and gave it a slow lick.
"How about you? Vanilla?"
She somehow twirled the cone in her hand then held it out.

"Evangeline, I told you that 'Colours' isn't my real name, right?

"It's funny because we have slightly similar names. Your name is 'Evangeline', and.."
He cleared his throat.
"And my name is 'Eve'"

"Your name is Eve? That name is quite similar, especially because my nickname is Eva."
She felt glad he had trusted her enough with his real name. Her first bondmate hadn't bothered, sticking to a fake name.
