"No, it wasn't your fault."
Riley emphisized. He didn't want Cale to blame himself for the chaos of today.
"But if anything, those are the types of accidents we're trying to help prevent."
Tori looked down to the ground, still stiff from the nervous tension that ran through her being. She nodded slowly and glanced to her hummingbirds. They were not directly infront of her, so it looked as though she were focusing on some imaginary thing.
"I'm sorry."

"Prevent-? Why ,am I here, if it wasn't my fault?"
Cale asked in his confusion. Right about this time he could feel that they were heading down the steps to the basement of the building. He clung tightly to Riley with one arm so as not to fall.
"It's, alright Tori."
Holly said, she smiled a little and opened Victoria's door to her room. She rubbed the fabric together on Tori's shirt a little and nodded to her.
"You want me to tuck you in now? I will let you go tonight without medicine and we can keep it between us."
Holly then stood up strait putting the pill bottle back into her coat. It was against her better judgement and Holly really disliked not giving the patients their medication. For fear that they would end up in a coma from the use of their powers like her brother, but she had to make a compromise sometimes with the patients. For sure she told herself, "I will give her, her medication tomorrow... tomorrow."

Tori looked up at Holly with relief sweeping over her expression.
"Thank you Holly."
She whispered as she took a step closer to the doctor.
"Because... then next time, it won't have to be you at the start of something like this."
Riley spoke sencerely. He didn't want Cale, or any of the patients, to experience the disasters like this that could happen around them.

"Maybe... Riley, do you have any powers?"
Cale felt the bottom step, as they reached it his heart dropped. He felt that maybe Riley was trying to comfort him, but unfortunately to his dismay it only seemed to make the situation seem worse.
Holly motioned for Tori to enter the room.
"You're welcome...Tori... The sooner I get you to bed the sooner I can get back to work."

"....No, I don't."
Riley answered truthfully as the stopped infront of a door. He swiped his card and opened the door for them.
(Isn't there a 'roommate' for Tori?)

(Yes bliss is her name but I think she was stuck in another room)
"Please, Riley... I don't want to beg but I don't want to go back to the cold... maybe another room, not this one..."
Cale tried pleading to Riley. He wasn't going to try and fight him physically, especially with his wounds, but he was going to at least try to get him to listen.

Tori walked into the room and went straight to her bed. She sat down and turned to look up at Holly.
"Cale..."
Riley sighed as he continued foward with the boy.
"You know I can't let you get in trouble like that."
The doctor didn't care if he himself was in trouble through something like that... and chances were high that he would get in big trouble, but when he thought about how Cale would get punished for such a change.... Riley shook his head.

Holly walked into the room over to a nearby sink filling it with water and then holding it out to Tori.
"Here, one drink before bed then I'll tuck you in k."
Cale felt the door open to his room soon after entering the basement. He was unsure if he'd be able to leave his room a second time, the first time already being difficult just because of the cold but now there was the fact that he completely exhausted his energy. He felt himself being set down on his bed, the cold of the room starting to make him shiver.
"Riley, if I can't go... You don't have powers, you can go when you want. This place isn't safe, I can, feel it."
His voice wavered a little the cold effecting his breathing. He drew in short cold breaths of air.
((Let's try and start this off with a new day soon ^^/ ))

Riley smiled faintly.
"Cale, I chose to be hear for you kids. That's not going to change."
He couldn't leave these sweet kids here, especially with some of the ways other doctors acted towards them.
Tori took the glass and drank some of the water. She pulled it away from her face and looked down into the cup she was given, silently staring at the liquid until it became still.

"There you go Tori, if your done I can take the glass with me."
Holly said putting her hand out to take the glass with her. She smiled sweetly at the girl, despite the fact that she was deeply worried about not giving her the medication she needed.
"I guess... I'll have to try, and get you to want to leave. I like you Riley, and that's why... I have to get you to leave."
Cale crossed his arms trying to stay warm as he scooted to the back of his bed up against the wall, putting distance between himself and Riley. He felt the burns he had recieved earlier start to numb from the cold. He brought his knees up and put his head against them keeping his arms in shivering and looking down.
"If I have to stay I don't want to see anyone... not even you."
He felt instant pain from his last statement. He felt horrible for saying it, that and it was difficult to say. He really did care about Riley but if he wanted to get Riley to hate something about this place in order to leave he would have to start by getting Riley to hate him.

Now that one hurt. It's not like Riley hadn't recieved insults from patients before... but this was Cale. The doctor sighed, knowing the boy was upset.
"I'll be back in the morning. Try to get some sleep."
Riley turned and left the room, closing the door behind him quietly.
Tori held the glass out for Holly to take. The girl looked up at her... she was still very thankful that she wasn't going to recieve the 'medication' that night. Her birds were clearly happy too- they spun around in circles, humming loudly. The girl was still so surprised that she was the only one who could see or hear them. They were so loud!

Holly reached forward grabbing the cup from Tori's hand. For a moment she could hear a faint fluttering noise, followed with emmediate shake of the head. She stood up and pulled the covers up to Tori.
"Goodnight Tori. I'll see you tomorrow morning okay."
She nodded turning the light off in Tori's room as she left. She turned to shut the door turning on the lock outside. Holly soon spotted Riley turning and jogging up to him.
"Riley... Riley wait for me."
Cale looked away from Riley as he left. He scoffed a little under the slight chattering of his teeth.

Tori blinked cuiously as she watched Holly leave the room. She pulled herself all the way into the covers and laid down.... every now and then she listened to her little friends chatting softly with eachother, and this quite possibly was the best night she had at the housing.
"Holly-"
Riley turned his head to see the doctor running up to join him. His hands were in his pockets as he walked along.

"Riley..."
She said walking up to him. Holly slowed her pace so she could stand next to him. All the commotion in the place seemed to have died, doctors were all starting to leave the rooms if they weren't already gone. She sighed in relief as everyone made it through the whole ordeal safely.
"I guess... everyone made it through the night safely, but I was wondering, if Cale is okay. After all he got burned from the fire and he seemed the most shaken up out of all the patients."

"Yeah, he's really upset right now."
Riley agreed as he stopped next to her in the hallway.
"Hopefully he only directs his anger at me. Maybe it will help him vent."
Something told Riley it wouldn't be that easy.
