Fear and worry filled her eyes as she ran and cradled Aden's body against her own.
Aden, You can't die. who did this to you, Lycan or Vampire?

Aden feels a pulsing aching throb in his temple when he tries to contact Kira mentally. His thoughts feels sluggish and his actions are slow. Still on the floor Adenar lets out a groan and turned on his side. As he turns, a major stab wound could be seen through his vest and shirt. A foul odor cloys at the air around him and Adenar tries to get up, falling to the floor as one of his arms gives way. "Damn.. p...poisons... patrol... arrows... three days march... must protect Aviano, must protect Kira. Damned vampires..." Aden felt Kira's arms and looked around, realizing he cold no longer move. "Where... what? Kira?"

Aden, becoming less dazed by the second, notices the large drain on Kira's life force. What are you doing! Able to support himself he checks his wounds, his hand running nervously over his face. For a moment he relaxed as he felt nothing, but then he felt a long jagged rip over his eye. How can I still see? Where am I? His head throbbed and he clutched at his forehead, doubling over in pain. "Vampires!" The single word tore from his lips in a frenzy of painful screams.

Yes... but this poison is working against your antidotes. The more you seek to minister care to my wounds, the more my brain activity slows... Adenar's thoughts become unintelligible as he loses his train of thought. Decidedly no longer attempting to move, he looks up at Kira grimacing as a substitute for a smile.

flec stood out of the way, silently praying

Aden's life force faded fast, and his face paled as the antidote mixed with his blood. The mixture caused his blood to boil for a moment. Aden's head spun, and in a feeble attempt to clear his clouded mind he focused only on Kira. He grew more and more faint as the minutes dragged on slowly, eating away at his life force.
"Kira.. if this is to be my last night with you... I just want to tell you... You... I," Aden's head turned sideways and he coughed, "I may not be here longer, You are my shining light... and if I must watch you from the heavens then I will guard you for eternity..." He felt a cold shiver wrack his body and he went limp. His breath rattled and quieted. Another final minute dragged on and then Aden appeared to slip into darkness. His breath slowed but did not stop, and his heartbeat was feint. He had slipped into a forced coma, in hope that Kira would be able find a way to fully counteract the now halted effects of the poison that still coursed through his blood. Kira, I love you, if you need to contact me, only do so if I am about to die... And with that his mental contact with her broke. The form of his body lay, seemingly unconscious on the dusty stone floor. His wounds were pale around the edges but had stopped bleeding. The door, which was still open, showed the sky a pale blue red of dusk. The northern star showed through the light barley glimmering. The air was cold and brisk from the lack of sunlight.
