Lake Ellison Lake hesitated only a moment before smiling and sitting on the couch beside Hayate. Even though he was such a hardass on the students, she really did like him. He was one of those people that just naturally calmed her down with their mere presence. "So...Your birthday is coming up soon, right? What would you like?"

Hayate glanced at her and shrugged. "Yea, it's in two days. I've never really celebrated my birthday so I don't know what I want. I have everything I could want to get for myself with money at least." He took a sip of his tea, starring in the liquid when he was brought it back down.

Lake Ellison Lake frowned at him curiously. "'With money?'" She repeated. "Then how about anything you would want that you can't buy with money?" She wanted to help him how she could, but she feared she was completly useless in most aspects. The only thing she had going for her was her job. And she couldn't abuse that power. And the way he was looking at his tea looked so melancholy...

Again, Hayate shrugged, as if in thought. "Something or someone to give my existence meaning, I guess. I want to share my strengths and weaknesses with someone, without them being afraid of me..." he blurted out softly.
He blinked and took a drink of his tea this time. "That's right, I forgot, you were hired as principle after I was hired teacher. You don't know my history very well. If you did, you would be afraid of me too. That's why the last one quit, but he hired me because I'm the best teacher for history around here...I'm sorry to burden you with questions and curiosities." he looked at her then and gave her a soft smile. "If you do have questions to ask, allow me to take you out, as my birthday present."

Lake Ellison Lake blinked in surprise and blushed. "I-I...You would actually want to take me out?" It was the first time something like that had ever happened. She thought about what'd he'd said before, about his history. And as much as she thought, she couldn't think of a single reason to ver be afraid of him. Unless he was a psycho axe-murderer of something that was planning on killing her on the date and burying her body in the local playground. But she somehow did not think that was likely. Hayate simply did not give off that 'sociopath' type of vibe. "I...Sure, I'd love to. Except you can't spend any money, as it's your birthday present. Okay?"

Hayate blinked surprised at her statement and a slow smirk, barely there, but there, crossed his face. "I'll buy the dinner, you can buy the drinks, how about that? Trust me, where we're going you won't have enough to buy it all."
He dug through is bag, pulling out a notebook and pen. He wrote his number on it and then gave it to her. "Call me later, I have caller ID on my phone so, I will know your number when you do."
He took a few more swigs of his tea and got up and went to the sink to wash it. Then he dried and put it away.

Lake Ellison Lake nodded, taking his number. She too took her mug to the sink and washed it, before storing the mug back in the cupboard. "Thanks! I still have work to do so I'll see you later? Have a good night!" She hurried from the room before she could get too embarassed and uncoherant. A date! She, Lake Ellison, single for the last 22 years of her life, had a date! Lake walked slowly to her office, her thoughts still in the teacher's lounge. Why did she strangely feel like suddenly skipping? When she got to her office, all thoughts about Hayate and the upcoming date were forced from her mind. "Alex?" She said in surprise. What are you doing here?"

(lol you forgot that he needed papers from her office lol >.<) Hayate chuckled and followed her, letting her think for a brief moment, that he was still back in the teachers lounge. His humor left as he left the room though.
So when they got to the office, he waited as she talked to a student, that seemingly couldn't keep his eyes off of the young principle. Hayate narrowed his eyes slightly at the boy named 'Alex'. Yes, he's read the book. Teachers and students could not date, it was against the law, no matter how young the teacher was. Principle's are the enforcement of that law, so they are also basically teachers when it concerned students.

Kiro showed his uncle the guy he was after and said,"I'll be seeing ya around." He shut off his lab top, put it in his back pack and headed to the nearest bus stop. "I swear, I came here to get away from this, but now I still have to do this." He thought as the bus showed up.

Alex was falling asleep as he heard her voice. He then jumped up and laughed nervously... Alex stood up and stretched slightly, "I forgot my cell phone in your office and I need it." He stretched, cracking his back before yawning.

Lake Ellison Lake nodded. "Of course! Come on in!" She pushed open her door, and stood back to let Alex in. How long had he been waiting? She glanced back and saw Hayate. "Hayate!" She exclaimed in surprise. "What are you doing-oh," she said, clapping her hand to head. "The papers. I forgot. I'm so sorry. Here, come on in as well, and I'll see if I can get them..."

Alex turned to look at the teacher, this guy was giving him mean looks and it was rather amusing. A devilish smirk formed on Alex's face as he realized how much this teacher must dislike him right now. He looked at Ms. Ellison, offering her his kind and innocent smile before sliding his hands into her pockets and walked into the office before looking around. He couldn't find his phone and he was certain he left it here. Alex searched his pockets once more, nothing... he growled and began to look around the area he sat

Lake Ellison Lake moved around Alex to sit at her chair behind the desk. Once more she logged on to her computer and scrolled through her documents, looking for the papers Hayate wanted. She had saved them, right? Or...maybe not. Looks like she was going to have to pull an all-nighter to get them written again. She sighed, leaning back and running a hand over her eyes. She wasn't looking forward to it. She glanced over at Alex when he growled. "You can't find it?" She said in surprise. "Are you sure you left it here?" ((I still have no idea what these papers are supposed to be))
