Sallia nodded. "Alright then. Shanra, you attack Nufeniel then."
Shanra giggled and pranced like a mongoose.
"Break!" Sallia clapped to everyone, throwing one arm into the air. "Then we attack tomorrow morning!"
"Sallia, wake up earlier than the others and see me." Yavanna reminded. "Come now, little Vala. I would like you to aide me with some of the trees in the area."
"ALRIIIGHT!!!" Vala cheered giddily, hugging his parents' legs and then his grandparents' legs afterwards. "I'M GOING TO GO PLAY WITH YAVANNA!!!! BYEEE!!! I WON'T BE BACK LATE I PROMISE!!!"
He and the tall, feminine nature-spirit-discovered-Valar went walking down the trail, the young elven boy quite pleased.
"So my son is the favorite of a Valar that I never even knew lived in these places." Sallia blinked a few times as she watched them depart. "Figures."
Shanra stretched. "Mmm, you never knew?"
"Like you did." Sallia countered, and he shrugged boyishly.
Her own plans were running through her head; shortly after the attack, she'd be going off towards the Ash Mountains, and then traveling home as far as she knew. Xar would prevent Legolas from following, making sure he'd attend to his people; she could return and complete her mission, heal those she could along the way. Sure, she'd fight a bit, have to stop in towns and inns on the way... Her moneypurse would not be sparsely filled before going off to battle.
She snugged against Legolas, twitching. "Sleep? What is this, this "sleep" thing they speak of, meleth??? Is it a disease????" She gave a small smirk. "Sounds like a disease. I bet it's horrible."
Her father placed a hand on her shoulder, with a harsh smile.... As plausible as that sounds. "Why, Sallia! It's been a long time since we've seen you around these parts. Tell me, what have you been up to?"
Sallia laughed nervously. "Umm...Hiya Daddy....It's...privilaged...between....Yavanna and I?"
"Ohhh, I see, I see, a very grave and serious quest I take it. Tell me, Daughter, when were you going to tell me that I was a grandfather???" He was almost glaringly mad, softened only by the energy of the little Vala.
Sallia thought she was going to die. "Umm...when...I...got...back?"
"I see, I see..." Korion ran his fingers over a braid in his hair. "And what prompted you to cut off all of your lovely hair, Little one?"
"Battle. Easily to avoid being caught." Sallia replied promptly.
Korion chuckled. "Good reply. Still doesn't explain the grandson, though. Consider yourself in lots of trouble, young lady. You may be married, but it isn't proper to hide a grandson for nearly 3 years."
"Did I mention I love you?" Sallia was wilting under pressure.
"Love you too, pumpkinhead, but that doesn't change a thing." He chuckled, walking to go and converse with Thranduil.
"He's going to kill me." Sallia meeped, wrapping her arms around Legolas' waist. "I can't ever stand up to him. He's too intimidating. I'd rather face Melkor alone than my father angry. Maybe he'll have a party instead. He's done that before. That'd be nicer."
Shanra laughed. "Fat chance!"
"I'm bathing." Sallia announced. "ALRIGHT!!! HEEEEY!!!! ANY OF THE LADIES WHO NEED TO GET A BATH, FOLLOW ME!" She rallied any of the other women who did, marching off to the waterfalls below the city. As she was the leader, she wasted no time in stripping, plunging into the lukewarm water (thank the Valar for the afternoon sun!), and bathing as she pleased, pointing out plants growing nearby that were useful for the hair, skin, and even laundry. Hey, a female bathing commune wasn't that bad.
Shanra didn't think so either, peeking over the cliffs. "Wow. Not bad. So, Legolas, how's being married to my sister?" He raised an eyebrow.

Thranduil laughed to himself at the exchange. When Sallia's father moved to speak with him, he nodded.
"Do not feel bad. Her own husband found out only hours ago, and I learned shortly before you did." the Elvenking replied. "I think Sallia has had a lot on her mind lately."

~~~
Legolas however, had been drug after Shanra. He sat, facing away from the waterfalls and the cliff overlook. Sure, he had seen Sallia in such a way before, but he was being polite for the other women who were bathing.
"Shanra, you know she will kill you when she finds out you were watching her bathe. And as for being married to her..." the prince sighed slightly, laying back on the cliff and watching the clouds pass overhead. "It is like being married to a whirlwind. She has quite the quickly changing moods and, to top it off, she can not seem to sit still." he laughed slightly, closing his eyes. "That must be why I love her so."
~~~

Legede, now left to his own thoughts, glanced to Sario quickly before turning and walking down the hill. He did not even acknowledge the rogue... who would if they were in the captain's shoes?

Sallia fumed. "I CAN **TOO** SIT STILL!!!" she shouted up, before suddenly realizing what was going on.
Shanra laughed maniacally, ducking and rolling.
Prank war was on.
She turned a bright red, finishing cleaning up before getting dressed and rushing up. "I'll give YOU something to laugh about---"
Next thing that happened, Shanra was off rolling down the largest hill in the area.
Sallia plopped down beside him with a grin. "Whirlwind, eh??? I like it. I'll call you my little Oakleaf, then. Oak, um..." She pulled a leaf off of a tree, showing it to him. "Oak. If I am a whirlwind, then apparently you are the 'oakleaf' that I have captured and whirl around into all sorts of fun!" She liked the analogy, and appeared quite proud of herself for making it.
~~~~~~~~~
Korion nodded slowly, laughing.
"As long as she thinks I am angry, all the more surprise. Shanra and I have been planning a coming-home party of sorts for some time now. We just need the right date. She needs to learn to stop being so restless...." He chuckled. "I thought her marriage to Legolas would solve that, but it seems to have only intensified it, for some time periods at least. Vala is a fine boy, though... Strange, I never knew Yavanna was the one residing in that tree all these years. I wonder how the child knew?"
PostPosted: Wed Feb 02, 2005 9:02 pm
Legolas opened his eyes looking to Sallia. "I suppose 'Oakleaf' will have to do then. I can not have you calling me 'Greenleaf' since... well..." he blushes slightly, "That was kind of my nickname from my father. Even though my name means it... it still makes me feel like a child being called such."
~~~

Thranduil smirked slightly, "He is his father's son." he sighed slightly, "When Legolas was a boy, he would spend hours outside amid the trees. He would actually talk to them, and they would speak back. They would even shield him from my eyes if he did not want to go back inside just yet. They would tell him where to go, or if something drew near. Though of late, Legolas has not spoken with trees, he still carries that gift. I suppose..." he looked to Korion. "I suppose Vala simply asked Yavanna who she was. However, about Sallia's wild spirit. I believe that has been intensified... and I blame Legolas. He could never stay in one place too terribly long. Eventually, he would get bored of his duties at the palace and journey to Imladris. His joining of the Nine Walkers was part of his restless spirit. He has calmed much, with the colony in Eden Cuil... but that was only after he realized that looking for Sallia was like searching for a needle in a field of tall wheat."

Rana nodded and smiled following the other women and easily discarding her clothes and verious weapons all seeming to be well used she shook her head gathering them in one place and walked in to the waterfal area with the bantering ladies to bathe feeling a little out of place amongst so many other people whom she didn't know by name or merit

"I'm so uncivalised"

she murmered noticing that she had picked a spot rather away from the others and sighed a little picking out the plants and herbs she needed to clean herself properly

Sario waited until Legede left, before she turned the opposite direction and walked away as well. Unfortunate for her, Talli was right in her path.
Stopping before him, the Maia kept her eyes downcast, refusing to look at him.
The rogue meanwhile lowered his arms, staring at her. "Hey..."
"Get some rest, Tallison," she cut him off, voice hard but also muffled. "You're going to need it."
With that she moved around him and continued her way back into the forest.
He blinked, finding himself alone. "Alrighty then..." He felt it would probably be pushing it to follow after her, so instead the elf simply sat down and began to contemplate upon which spell to use and for what when he'd face Nufeniel. The memory of the Necromancer's powder and the pain it dealt to him was still fresh in his mind, so he pondered upon that tactic first.

It wasn't long until Sario came upon the same spot where she had laid in not too long ago. Sitting down by the tree, she felt the bark press up against her back, scratching her slight when she shifted positions and crossed her legs underneath her body. Pulling her dress tight over her knees, she sat there in thought. Faintly she could hear screaming and laughter, as people prepared to relax and get the well earned rest they needed.
Not her. Sario, though weary and at the end of her emotional rope, would find no peace tonight. Not in the sleeping world, for her nightmare would also follow her there.
Stretching down on her side, the woman crossed an arm under her head, while she kept her pale eyes turned up toward the sky. Through some of the leaves she could see patches of the night, lighted with sparkling stars. Staring, the Ishtar thought she could depict an old constellation, not usually seen unless in Emyn Uial.
Then she remembered something. They were in the Blue Mountains, so close to her home. A small thought of fear and sadness gripped her, and for a moment she almost considered getting up and heading back to her haven. It would be easy since she was alone and no one was around.
"But that would be a cowardly thing to do..." she whispered, closing her eyes and picturing the Lune River. They would need her here, to defeat Melkor. Sario was the only one with the power to accomplish this task. Legede could too, but it was her fault that he lost his powers. Her wicked acts drove him to anger and sadness, unfit to serve under the Valar.
What was different about her? Usually the Valar would not concern themselves with the personal lives of those who dwelled in Middle-earth unless it threatened others.
She prayed the Captain would be returned his gift but then she also thought about him going off instead to lead the army. What would he prefer to do?
It was better off to be alone and fighting. Him there would distract her as it would him.
Yet Sario could do nothing but trust in the judgement of the Valar.

It was nighttime already; Vala was in bed, ushered off by a calm Yavanna, Shanra was practicing his swordplay...... Big surprise..... Sallia, meanwhile, was contemplating the stars as she was prone to do out here. She had all the items necessary for the new creation of a pendant, the moon was in the right phase... It was a bit relieving, but she still had a lot of work ahead of her.
She snugged up against Legolas, the lands falling into calm, the humming of insects and nightbirds echoing through the air. "We'll be off to fight tomorrow..." she murmured quietly, eyes searching the horizon. She wanted to say, "And I'll be leaving after that." to complete her thought but...well, thought better of it. The last thing she needed was her husband being as stubborn as she was, if not more so. "You need to be careful."

Legolas nodded. "And we will be winning tomorrow." he replied, looking up at the stars. "We have never lost with the help of the Valar before... we shall not now."

Sallia nodded quietly in reply, ever-smiling gaze lost on the sky above her. "We can begin anew tomorrow. We can start to heal again."
She stood up with a stretch, walking towards the temple. "You can share my room tonight if you wish, or sleep alone, whatever you prefer." she offered, pausing to glance back at him. "Your thoughts?"
PostPosted: Fri Feb 04, 2005 8:27 pm

The prince laughed, taking one last look up at the stars before turning to Sallia.
"And which do you think I shall choose?" Legolas asked with a smirk, standing up.

Sallia blushed and hmphed. "Well then!"
She sauntered into the temple, moving comfortably through the fire-lit sand-colored stone hallways. The air was perfumed with clouds of incense such as frankincense and myrrh, copal and benzoin; there was a very mystic feeling to this place. She stopped to stand on a faintly glowing glyph on the floor, smirking back at Legolas.
"I hope you haven't forgotten how to move about this place!" she teased with a smirk, suddenly disappearing.
The glyph took her to the upper floors, the next to the last floor being her bedroom, which was actually surprisingly small compared to the other floors. It had enough for a balcony, of course, and was spacious enough to have many plants and bottles of herbs and such. A bookcase or two stood solemnly in the corner, but for the most part, there were windows opening to the east and west.
She would have unbraided her hair, if she hadn't cut it; short hair was such easy maintenance. She instead dressed in her nightgown and waited on the balcony, watching the stars or looking over the forested mountains. She would have to wake a little before dawn and leave without Legolas waking; good luck with that.

Legolas had nodded to his wife before his disappeared. Such magical places were beyond him, even though Mirkwood had used such magics on it's great gates. Still, the Elven Prince always felt a bit odd stepping onto the marking that would take him to Sallia's room. It was easier than walking stairs, yes, especially if one was injured, but it was still quite strange.
Nevertheless, Legolas found himself moments later, standing in the doorway of his wife's bedroom. He spotted her, leaning on the balcony and starring up at the stars.
"It is a comforting thing." Legolas said, walking up to her and gently putting his arm about her waist. "Not just the stars, though they do my heart good whenever I see them... but to know you are here, and that you are safe."

Rana was the last out of the lake and found some fresh clothes waiting for her, she pulled on the dress and pulled her hair in to a rough bun a few strands of golden hair falling in to ringletts on her shoudlers, she picked up her weapons and tied them together with her old clothes and picked them up under one arm and lifted the too lond dress off the floor with the other

"where am I to go now?"

She mused turning her head to the forest

"I do not want to return to wilderness ... I like Elladan too much to leave this place and yet my fears catch me here ....."
PostPosted: Sat Feb 05, 2005 3:36 pm

Sallia chuckled, leaning back against him. "Safety should be the least of our worries..." She closed her eyes. "Aye, it seems we're in trouble all the time, does it not? I don't know how we get through it."
She yawned, thusly grabbing his arm and dragging him over to her bed. "I need my pillow. Sleepy."
