I Have fixed the error on my computer, Everything is legible and readable.

I was making sure about the read only thing there, little paranoid, It's been that way for a while now. Every now and again I'll turn the computer off, go into another room and then come back immediately.

Character Sheet Finale

Sure you don't want a little advice on those... uh... ability scores...? Seriously, no offense but that stat spread is not gonna get you very far. You did take your racial ability score bonuses into account? You need more Wis for sure, Cha is a good choice as well. If anything, dex is your dump stat.

Int should be his dump stat.

I did both with a cleric of mine in a campaign here. 8 in one, 9 in the other >_>

18 for wis, 16 for cha, 14 str and 12 con. Dwarves getting throwing hammers makes str > dex even more viable, since heavy thrown weapons use that. Now the stats I have reflect my race, of course, but it seems good so far.

Ok... so, what concept of a character do you want to make?
PostPosted: Sat Nov 01, 2008 4:13 pm

An Eladrin, Scythe wealding part magic user . . . my not sure what class would be suitible , or if the concept is at all, reasonable.

Straight Swordmage, if Azure's allowing the class. Otherwise... I dunno, Paladin/Feylock would work better as a Half-Elf.

This is, of course, ignoring the larger issue, that being your complete lack of taste and your obsession with gloomy fatalistic Bishounen. There is no cure, but it is treatable. Modern medicine has determined that Gothic Bishounen Fixation Syndrome, or GBFS, is caused by mental and emotional malnutrition, and can be cured by taking regular supplements of Crazy Awesome. The most popular brand of Crazy Awesome dietary supplements is, of course, Deadpool, though nine out of ten Irish Physicians recommend Dr. McNinja as an alternative. The tenth, for the record, claimed to be Batman.

I do allow Swordmage.

However you need to explain what you mean by magic user.

However you need to explain what you mean by magic user.
Support spells: to raise the damage my character will deal ect... then an offencive spell or two.
I also want to craft magical Weapons .
???

You are thinking of the Tome of Magic from 3.5. The three magic types in that book are Pact, Shadow, and Truename

Truename Magic is the understanding of the creation language. Everything that exists or has existed has a fundamental name and by understanding its name you can do whatever you want with it, even shape it into something else.

That stuff doesn't exist in 4e.

Technically, crafting magical weapons doesn't exist either... but since alchemy is a feat that allows you to craft items, it would be easy to make a magic armor/weapon creation feat. Basically, you would need to be of the appropriate level of the item you wish to create and then spend materials equal to the gold value of the item.

Hmm... raise damage of character and throw spells... Unfortunately, there aren't many self-buffs; although I guess there are some in the daily powers. Your best bet to be what you want is to either be some sort of hybrid fighter/wizard (or warlock), or be a spellmage.

Go to the Wizards of the Coast forums, and search for occurrences of the word "Gish", which is a slang term for a melee/arcane hybrid. Or again, Eladrin Swordmage with a Scythe is completely viable. Mind you, Scythes in 4th Edition are just bad versions of Greatswords, but not that much worse if you're really concerned about being really incredibly good-looking.

...oh, crap, that's right: the only absolute constant between any and all conceivable Swordmage builds is that Charisma is a dump stat. Ah, well, you could probably argue that you're really, incredibly good-looking, but don't talk much and aren't very polite when you do.

And I pride myself on my overwhelming sense of humor. 3nodding

Spellmage ? ? ?
Swordmage. It's in the Forgotten Realms Player's Guide, 4th Edition version. It's a Defender (read: tank) that mixes magic and swordplay. By spending some time meditating upon a weapon of the Light Blade or Heavy Blade type, they can summon it to their hands from a distance and use it as a focus for their abilities. While 'buffs' are uncommon in 4th Edition, most Swordmage abilities are melee attacks that deal elemental damage and, stylistically, look really freaking cool. Like, swing your sword and create a swirling vortex of flame in front of you, or hurling your weapon at your opponent, lassoing them with solid lightning, and dragging their asses into melee range with you. They're also big on short-range teleportation as a means of moving around. A Swordmage's most important stat is Intelligence, which is the basis for most of their attacks, though Constitution and Strength are also important.
