Stupid creaky doors.
Remus was pulled rather forcefully from his reverie by the sound of the Library doors opening. He opened his eyes and felt a blush creep up his face immediately, and he fought a groan. He liked Wendy, of course he did, but he just didn't want her to see him lookng grouchy. He tried (and failed) to smile in case she was looking, and discreetly slipped off into the shadows to find something to read.

Intrusive. She saw him give a fake smile in her direction, then hurry off into the shelves. Intrusive. You're being intrusive. He's upset and he doesn't want to be bothered. Wendy blushed, thinking that that was probably about right. Why've you got to be so nosy? Why can't you let people be? Her brutal conscience was scolding her again. Telling herself that she'd do her research some other time, she walked back out of the library. Perhaps she could ask around and see if anyone had any homework she could help them with.

Lily walked into the library, and walked over to a table to put her stuff down. She turned around to see if Peter was still behind her or not.

Peter entered the library a little behind Lily. He smiled nervously when she looked back to see if he was there. "S-so, er, what sort of thing are we looking for, exactly?" he asked.

"Well, I would like to look up some transfiguration books. Any types of books you want to look at?" Lily didn't want to make Peter bored with reading material only she was interested in. She had to make sure he had something to do too, expecially since she was the one to ask him to come.

Peter shrugged. He wasn't really much of a reader. Or a studier. Or a scholar, for that matter. "Er, I suppose I'll just look up some Transfiguration, too," he said.

"OK, great! Lets go look at the Transfiguration isle and grab a book." Lily walked over to the Transfiguration isle and saw books on Animagus, changing teacups into rats, and many others. "Which one do you want to start with, do you think?"

Peter tried to remember what they were studying in Transfiguration at the moment, but not having paid attention he found that it was a futile attempt. Then, wanting to look smart in front of Lily, he decided to pick a subject on which he was already an expert. "I think that book on Animagi looks interesting," he said in an offhand sort of way, reaching for it.

"That sounds great! I've always been interested in Animagi, well, ever since I've known what they were..." Lily giggled at her own joke, of course she wouldn't have known what they were before she knew she was a witch... She walke over to the table with Peter.

After reading a for a little while, Lily was getting a tad flustered. "I still don't get it, what makes it so hard to change from human to animal?"

"Well, it's really hard to get your body adjusted to it," Peter began, without even really thinking about what he was doing. "I mean, all of your organs and stuff are either shrinking or growing or changing entirely; it's a lot to get used to. Also, casting spells on oneself is always harder than casting spells on other people." When he was finished he blinked. Wow. Did I just sound smart?

"Ohhhh! That makes sence. Is there a way to determine what kind of animal you would be?" Usually, Peter seemed so shy, so Lily was surprised when he said so much about the interesting subject of Animagi.

"Well, I think you can decide for yourself, but it's made easier if you pick the animal that is closest to your heart. Like, the animal your Patronus would be, get it?" Peter was getting to like this whole intelligence concept. He should try to be smart more often.

"So then, I would transform into a doe, like my Patronus?" Lily was getting very interested in this subject. I like the idea of being a doe. They're so pretty and graceful!
