Kasis laughed. Eclipse did like the attention and he himself was enjoying a new experience. Giving Eclipse one final long hard scratch behind the ear he got up and walked over to fridge and took out a pulled out a bowl of pasta and sat back down at the table.
"Hm, what kind of magic can you do?" He dipped his hand into the bowl and grabbed some noodles and popped it into his mouth.

Eclipse shook out his feathers the laid down on the floor. "That felt good." He now shut himself up and listened to them talk, seeing as he had gotten a dose or attention.
Aura finished off the wine in her glass. "Elemental mostly. I can also do slight transformation magic, a lot of incantations. All of my spells are mostly Ancient Egyptian based, they're what I'm best at."
"Hm, I wonder why?"
"Weren't you being quiet? Don't interrupt."

Completely lost in the conversation Kasis, crossed his arms and closed his eyes.
"Yes Eclipse i wonder why too. Could you tell me? Are you from 'Eh-gyptu'? And where is it located?"
Kasis' stomach growled again and ate a few more strands of noodles. Whatever these things are they're sure good. They just slide down your throat like liquid almost!

"That's Egypt. From this spot, I have no idea where it is or how far, and yes I'm from there. From there but not from this time." She thought about that for a few moments and found it would sound rather confusing. She'd simplify. "You see, I'm from Egypt but from five thousand and something odd years ago."

Kasis choked on his noodle and coughed. So many suprising things around here. Maybe i should just eat when there's no one around so i won't die by choking on my food.
"What!? So you're over 5000 years old?! Are all egyptians like you?"

She had to stifle a laugh. "No, well not many. The girl with cat ears you met earlier, Bastet, she is. And the other girl Nailah, she's about two-three thousand years younger than ous both." Aura sighed slightly. "But we're here by some misfortune or mistake, normal Egyptians don't live this long."
"Wow, you know the more people mention it the more it sinks in..." Eclipse made a trademark snort, stood and stretched himself out.

((Not on long tonight, packing for a trip.))
A slam was heard in the archaic wing as Khenu exited his room, accidentally slamming his door shut. Quickly down the hall he walked full of energy.
Khenu suddenly stopped and thought. Why walk? He could just practice his phasing and get where he needed to be at the same time.
He relaxed himself letting his eyes slide half shut in an attempt to use his empathic abilities to sense others. And it worked. Khenu's eyes opened fully, bright blue eyes excited looking and concentrating again, phasing himself.
Ungracefully his appeared in the kitchen, stumbling forward into the back of Aura's chair face first. "Ow..." He righted himself and looked to Aura. "Hello Aura!" Looking again he saw Eclipse and then someone he had never seen before who was wearing a hat. HE pointed to him. "Who's that?"

Aura looked down to the ten year old, smiling at him. Was he always this happy? "Practicing that phasing again? Be more careful Khenu, you don't want to have an accident." She then looked to Kasis. "That Khenu, is our new friend Kasis."

Khenu eyed Kasis for a moment. He was always nervous around strangers. But Aura seemed comfortable around him, as did Eclipse who Khenu had by this time walked to, scratching his ears. "Hey Eclipse."
Turning to face Kasis, he gave a lopsided grin. "I'm Khenu." His attention went back to Eclispse and his pettting of him. "I bet you've been doing good haven't you?"

"Quite well thank you, could you scratch just the tiniest bit lower Khenu?" Eclipse tilted his head some, trying to get the boys scratching fingers where he wanted them himself.
"Oh yes, Khenu, I forgot to mention that to you. Eclipe learned a new trick."

Khenu made that wonderful involuntary squeaking noise he hated so much and yanked his hand back and phased to the other end of the table, peering over its edge at Eclipse.
He gulped and looked to Aura. "H-he talks now?"

Eclipse whimpered and lowered his ears slightly. "No need to act like that now, same old Eclipse, just now you can hear me." He got up and padded over to Khenu, nuzzling the boy's shoulder.
"It's a long story Khenu. But basically Eclipse can talk now." She winked to Khenu. "Don't let him boss you around, you're still bigger than him."
The black winged wolf snorted. "Not if I'm on hind legs."
"Well keep all four paws on the floor please."

Khenu laughed and hugged Eclipse. "That's awesome Eclipse. Now you can tell me what flying is like, when you get a chance that is." He scratched the wolf's ears once more then b-lined for the fridge.
He pulled it open and pulled out a few choice items before taking a seat next to Aura, quietly eating his lunch. Between bites his hands busied themselves with the two feathers and claw he had.

And again Eclipse fluffed his wings and shook his fur. Seemed he had been doing that all night now. "Wow, I'm popular tonight."
"Only because you can talk now."
"Let me bask in the tribute that is being shown to me. You used to get kicks out of that now it's my turn."
"You weren't around then, what would you know?" She sighed and smiled at the wolf. "You can be so terrible at times."

Khenu decided to add his two cents. "I think Eclipse acts like some of the teenagers back in my village. They used to strut around and boat alllllll the time."
