"Doesn't explain how you can afford it though..." Saradin spoke to the air after they left and downing his glass of vodka. "Maybe there really is a bit more to this place than meets the eye." Alone now, he took it upon himself fully concieve what he had been contemplating at Bradwen's mention of boar. Rather sketchily, he plotted out the details and set about the kitchen and meat locker, hoping to find what he needed.

((This one is out.))

You're a disgrace to us all!
Get out of here! You don't belong!
Why have you brought HIM here? That human shouldn't be here.

Kasis sat on the edge of his bed, his head down staring at the wooden planks, his heart heavy and his head throbbing. Sunlight barely filtered into the room, the blinds not yet opened to let the full sunshine fill the room. His thoughts drifted toward last night. His reaction toward his "cursed" language, the people who he had interacted with, and the feeling of dread from the other people's past. One person killed his whole family. My problem seems like a happy moment compared to that. Kasis' hand drifted toward his human ear and moved some hair behind it. He was so human, every physcial aspect of him was human except for the ears. He had no excess fur, no tail, and no claws, he practically was human. He tried standing up again, but his body gave out on him and he plopped back onto his bed.

"I should find the kitchen..."

Emerging from the meatlocker, placing a final mark on the checklist he had put together, Saradin's eyes were stunned by the light of dawn. Could he really have spent several hours in the freezer? Didn't really matter much, whether he actually ever slept was starting to be up for debate these days. No sense in wasting the morning, and he needed breakfast, and he was already in the kitchen...

Finally managing to pull himself out of bed and find his footing, he quietly stepped out of his room and wandered the halls trying to find signs of the kitchen. He saw the main hall and sluggishly walked over toward the kitchen. He opened the door carefully to see if anyone was in. The smell of alcohol still lingered in the air, but the room was empty. Kasis quickly dashed toward the fridge and opened it up, looking hastily for the trout.

Saradin rentered the kitchen, his short break over with. First he checked on the oven, then he realized that he wasnt alone. The boy from the previous night was face first in the refridgerator. Shutting off the oven, he walked over to him and stood behind the obviously distracted one, crossing his arms. "Finaly ready for that meal offer?"

Kasis' hand quickly shot up to his mouth pushing the trout back in, he fell backwards at the same time as he saw the cook peek over the door. After swallowing the food, he coughed almost having choked.

He laughed nervously, "Uh, yah i am." He quickly got back on his knees and bowed his head. "I apolgize for ruining your wonderful dinner last night. I saw all the extra food in here and assumed it was my fault becuase i made such a rukus. I'm deeply sorry."

"Not a problem. If you live here, you have to understand that trouble happens almost everyday. I find yours pleasant compared to the worse ones we've handled." Reaching past Kasis and into the fridge, he removed a carton of milk. "Judging by how the people here live, the worst thing they felt about your problem was guilt for not helping you with it." He poured and drank a glass of milk, then opened the over to free a pie from its depths. Cooking had gotten into his blood, he knew he obsessed about things, but this was starting to get silly.

"Ah still. Having them worry about me is still being troublesome. I'll keep my emotions under control from now on. Well i'll try at least."

He lifted his head and looked into the fridge door the carton of orange that he had left out was put back. He took it out and shook it. There wasn't much left so he unscrewed the top and downed the rest with his last peice of trout. He closed the door and sat at the table.

"So um... what is your name? Or can i just call you Cook?"

"Cook? Actually last night was the first large meal I've served." Saradin's pie was left to cool, and he took a seat. "My name is Saradin, I came here much as you did: stumbled on it accidentaly, they didn't want me to leave, and here I am part of everyday life now." The sword at his hip clanked into his chair as his hand sat on it's hilt rocking it back and forth. "Still, I find it refreshing now, how they let themselves be so easily bothered for the sake of others. To few places exist so full of altruism."

"Heh, it seems so strange to me. All my life i have lived by myself, barely getting through life day after day. But i suddenly come here and everyone accepts me with open arms." He put his head down on the table laying on his arm, his fingers massaging his cat ear.

"It just seemed so alien to me, all this kindness. And that language. I was forbidden to speak that language, the one that my mother knew. Though it was refresing to speak it again. Maybe i will like it here."

"So tell me Saradin, how long have you been here, and how have you lived over 1300 years?"

"French was forbidden?" Getting to the most obvious question first, Saradin continued before recieving an answer. "I know the feeling though, when I first arrived, I was telling them that I'd be gone by morning. A few months later, I'm still here. It's been ages since I last had friends, and I didn't even recognize them as such when I had them, to busy distrusting myself. One thing to be certain of is to find acceptance here."

"My human mother was Français. Thats all i knew about it. I snuck out of the village at times and hung out in a city where there were abundant speakers of the language and i taught myself. But my clan hated me for learning it. They called it evil that i knew the language of humans. But then again they're hyporcrites for speaking the language."

He snickered at all the things wrong in his culture. Such a hypocritical group.

"On occasion a little of that language will slip out. Only at times of high emotion though."

He listened to Saradin's word and smiled. "I may already have found the acceptance. ^_^"

"Well I, at least, accept you. You are certainly less imposing than many of the residents here, including myself. You certainly make this place seem more normal by comparison." Saradin leaned forward and out of his chair, before walking towards the door. "I've got a few other things to take care of though, I'll be seeing you later. Try no to starve yourself in the future."

((Sorry to cut out on you now, but I cant be on forever.))

"Ok, see ya later." He watched Saradin walk out of the kitchen. Kasis just kept his head down on the table and stared around the room. His eyes slid closed and fell asleep.

((I too must go.))

((Mwaha...I make posts simply because I can! Sleep? Yes, just little of it))

Night had passed quickly to day for Aura, then morning had passed even quicker to afternoon. She hadn't remembered sleeping but knew she had. You didn't wake up with a good hundred something pound animal laying across your lap and not know that he was there previously, if you were awake. Or maybe she had passed out. Either way, she had gotten some rest. "You're heavy, wake up." She flicked Eclipse in the ear.

He raised his head and looked back at her. "Well seems you're alright now. You said you weren't feeling well, came here into your room and just went to sleep. Didn't even lock the door."

"Who needs a locked door when they have you?" She laughed and hugged the large wolf, burying her face into his feathers. "I'm sorry I haven't paid as much attention to you as always, but it's not just us here anymore in the manor, you know that."

"I just like getting on your nerves."
