At the sound of Aura's tone he orbed away, she seemed in a bad mood towards him lately and he didn't like it. Either that or it was just him...either way the orbing thing was only a harmless bit of fun and the rest of the house took it to seriously. He materialized on the top of one of the tallest trees in the courtyard he sat there thinking and wondering why Aura hated him. He also thought of his daughter and tears formed in his eyes.

Bastet kept going following her ears and nose, until she came skidding ungracefully to a stop near Kasis. "Um, I know you are not ok, so instead I will ask what is wrong?"

Having heard both sets of legs carry themselves up the nearest staircase to the second floor, he marched calmly after them, eventually finding himself at the still open door to the rooftop. Silently, he walked over to the edge of the building, stopping a moment to set down the plate he had been carrying with him by Kasis. Still without speaking he looked over the area, eventually spotting Syrathos in a tree, and wondered how that had occured.

Aura merely looked at her plate and twirled her fork in the food there, then slightly nodded. "Mostly...in some way or another things like this happen...get used to it my girl."
Eclipse had watched Kasis, then Bastet, the Rasui all take off. "What? Is the wolf that bad to be around? I do like cats you know..."

Kasis didn't notice the plate but he did hear a voice. He bounced his body in the air and twisted his back so he landed on all fours and quickly jumped back onto his two legs, his arms covering his cat ears.
"Nothing is wrong. I apolgize for my strange actions. I don't have a clue what came over me." He longed for his cargo hat all of a sudden. After so long of having it with him all the time, his head felt naked without it. He turned his back toward the half cat woman. Not from a clan around here... He looked back again to make sure his assumption was right. It was. He sighed and sat down again.
"Nothing is wrong," he repeated with a hint of sorrow in his tone.

Bastet stood and looked at him a moment. Then she went over to him, kneeled down some, and took his arms away from his ears. She twitched her own, "They are just ears." She removed her hands, "That was a lot of reaction for nothing. So what exactly is going on in that head?"

He knocked the cat woman away from her and in a rage jumped up and pulled his hair back pointing to his normal human ears.
"Well then, what are these? Do you know? They're HUMAN. Becuase of this, atrocity i had a miserable life and it got worse just last night." His rage seemed to come down as he started to walk laps around the open area.

"So..." Nailah looked at her plate. She pushed her food around and then looked at Aura. "Is there ever a dulll moment here? Or does this kind of event happen all the time?"

"Eat. It's good for you." Saradin spoke openly, still watching the angel perched in a tree like some bird. He finished off the meal he had carried with him and set the bowl on the ground. "Whatever atrocity you believe those to be, there have been far worse around here that no one is bothered by, so you can relax a little."

Bastet backed up some and leaned calmly against the wall. "Ok, so you are weird. Congrats so is everyone else here. If you are ashamed of yourself then why do you not do something to change it? I used to be just a simple cat but look at me now. And in case that I was wrong about that being the problem, as I was before, what exactly IS the problem? So I do not screw up again?" She sighed some, "This is almost a haven for those that do not fit in."

Kasis jumped slightly just noticing the cook from eariler. His stomach growled on cue but he forced his eyes to tear away from the food.
"You have no idea what it is like to be shunned and live in humiliation from the day you are born."
He scrunched up his knees to his chest and wrapped his arms around them, placing his head down on his arms. His stomach was hurting now slightly but this was nothing compared to what he was once forced to go through. A little pain never killed anyone.
"It is not just the fact that i am 'strange' or 'differnt' it is the memories that are etched into my mind that hurts. Nothing can change that. Not even time itself."

She took a few bites, watching Eclipse slightly. "No...happens all the time really. Hey this place would be borning without all of the chaos..."
Eclipse looked to Nailah. "What's your cat's problem?"

"I murdered my own family, and lived almost thirteen hundred years in self loathing. I am fully capable of understanding what you feel. I believe everyone here knows." He still didn't look back, eyes moving only across things beyond the building they stood atop. From the boulder that Kasis had sat on, to the lake where Aura had bathed Eclipse today, he simply reviewed the area as he always did.

"Talk to anyone here, some have suffered for thousands of years before coming here." She kicked at the floor some, "Many know the feeling actually, even the seemingly normal ones. If you had not have run, then do you think we would have chased you?"
She looked up at the sky, "I killed a lot of Romans, who tortured and killed someone close to me." She did not allow her eyes to fill with tears.
