"sure you all can stay and rest here there is plenty of room."

Jon yawned again and turned to face Kavu.

"I should be fine. Once we get to the cabin, I'll find something to keep me awake."

Jon crested a hill and looked off in the distance. Sure enough, the glassy lake was there, as was the small cabin.

"Hey, I see it!" Jon stopped and waited for Kavu to catch up.

"What the hell?!" two guards stood shaking in the chamber.
"You have the get the restraints on her." Kazetsubake ordered from a speaker.
"And how do expect us to do tha...." the guards head flew off, his body collapsing to the hard steel floor. his head hit the wall with a sickening thud.
In the middle of the room sat a little girl with a wicked smile, her body covered in blood. She slowly stood up. With a crazed look in her eyes, she stared down the other guard. She looked toward the speaker.
"You're not gonna want to know what I'm going to do." she started to laugh under her breath.
The partition doors opened, and behind it stood about 30 guards with automatics.
"Don't shoot unless I give the signal." The squad leader shouted.
The girl just cackled. "Is that all you got?"
"Stay at least 2 meters away and you'll be fine. That's what the manual said."
In that instant, one of the front line guards appeared to be in shock. They all looked at him and a hand print had formed a hole in his body. Five more guards head's flew off.
"Get back!!" In one sweeping motion, the girl had taken out everyone else, except for the one guard still in the chamber.
" How much do you value your life?"
" Very much. I have a family. My son is turning four in a week."
" How touching. You should feel lucky. You have a family. I'm all alone with nothing but my shredded sanity. I don't know if the other me talking, but, I want you to go home and stay there. And don't ever come back. If you do come back, I'll make sure you go back home in a plastic bag."
The guard ran out.
The girl kneeled down and picked up one of the heads. "Sorry you couldn't do that same. I just didn't like you. All you humans piss me off." She walked out and looked up at the camera. SHe had the head in her hand. " Now for the rest of you." She regained her wicked smile.
"Time to wake up... Ayane..."

Ayane's eyes shot open.
"Not again..." Tears had formed in her eyes.
"I'm not like that. Not anymore. That's you, not me." She tried to remember another incident, but couldn't.

' Jon....My nightmares are getting worse and worse. She keeps taunting me. Showing me things i don't want to see. Things I let happen.'

Ayane's words echoed in Jon's brain for a moment before he could respond.

I'll be back before you know it. Just hang in there.

Once Kavu caught up, Jon made a swift turn and walked to the cabin. The old man's truck was gone, and from the looks of things, he left in a hurry. Probably had to tend to an emergency, Jon thought to himself. He tiredly made his way over to his car, only to find that the door was locked. And I don't have the key.

He decided to check on the situation inside the cabin. Perhaps the old man had left something for him, and just maybe, his keys might be there.

"I'm heading inside, Kavu. Could you hang out here and keep watch for me?"

A fisted hand slammed the table. A middle-aged man with blond hair stood, a frustrated look painted on his face.

"What do you mean, 'We've lost him?'! He's not a ******** set of car keys, it can't be that hard to keep track on. Just follow the trail of devastation he leaves!" He brought his other hand to his face, an obvious attempt to calm himself before he became ill.

"That's just the thing, Dr. Squire. There has been no confirmed destruction caused by him. When the chopper crashed, he disappeared. We're checking every town. Someone has to have seen him." The general sighed and took his seat. Dr. Squire followed suit.

"Keep looking. He's bound to turn up. As a matter of fact, post a few units at that cabin. If he's foolish enough to return even after that, we're bound to grab him." Dr. Squire grinned evilly, and the general nodded in approval. Rising to his feet, he saluted the doctor and left the room. Dr. Squire twiddled his thumbs in the silence, thinking aloud.

"Where are you, you little b*****d? You may be able to run now, but you certainly can't hide for long. I'll make sure you regret this for the rest of your very short life." The doctor cackled and rose to his feet, shutting off the lights and closing the door to his office. He headed to the elevator and pressed the call button.

Jon turned the knob on the front door. The door opened with a loud creak, and Jon was met with complete darkness. He waited a moment for his eyes to adjust to the blackness and took a step in. Jon approached the window and opened the curtains, allowing a sliver of moonlight to enter the room. He did the same for all the curtains on the first floor.

Now that the room was partially illuminated, he searched for a gas lamp and struck a match to light it. With it lit, he could now pretty much see all around the house, and noticed a small piece of paper on the kitchen table. When he approached, his eyes grew wide as they glanced at his set of keys next to it. The note read:

Jon,

If you're reading this letter, it means you know I'm not here. I had to go away for awhile, and I don't know when I'll be back. I'm leaving all your possessions here, just in case you decide to return to retrieve your stuff. A good fella like you doesn't deserve to be tangled up with government lackeys like that British guy, so I put a 12-gauge shotgun in your car just in case. Make good use of it, and be careful; they might be watching the place.

Jon stuffed the note in his pocket and grabbed his keychain. He didn't get too far from it when he heard a slight metallic sound.

"What the..." he checked under the table, and to his horror, discovered a hand-made timebomb. He checked his keys and there was a string attached, which was probably what engaged it. The timer on the bomb read "7...6...5..." Jon threw the table out of his way and ran to the door, throwing it open to bolt out of the house.

"GET DOWN!" Just then, the cabin erupted in a massive ball of fire. He had barely escaped with his life. Gasping for air, he stood at his feet and watched the cabin burn viciously.

"I've been set up."

Kavu watched the cabin burn, her ears back against her head.
"Lets get out of here .. people are bound to have heard that explosion .. It wont be long before they come up here .. " She tugged on him gently.

Kaede shook her head.
"You wont be making so much for long. Master wants us back. I'll expain more once we're some place safe."

*A crash of lighting and thunder drew Sin's attintion as it began raing.
He sighed and didn't want to or care about going inside as he watched the sky for a bit his shirt gitting soaked along with the rest of his cloths. Seth was watching him now form inside.*

"Sin please come in you'll catch your death out there." Seth pleed.
"Why bother." Sin turned his head to see her watching him.
"Look just becuse she left with some guy dosen't mean you have to care you know."
Seth began thinking about the problem a bit more in her favor that the cat was away.
