For those who missed the pannel: As of Saturday Aug 21 Gaia towns is under internal testing and if all gose well shall be released one week from then, following that I belive they hope to also release the quest system.
Other news: Some one actually won a Halo! Also won was an OMG! Amazeing no?
More stuff: Blackjack for the cassino is under works, following that is plans for Poker ( Hopefully now you can clean out your Gaia friends at the table!)
More on Towns: You start off at Barton train station in Bartan town, it will run via flash just like every other Gaia related game. From the town you can warp to the other towns. In each one is a few neighbor hoods each one has up to 6 houses. I can't remember how many people can be in each town/house at once but I'm sure there will be multiple Gaia Town servers otherwise it would be imposible to do with hundreads of people on screen at once.
The first time you place a house it is free moveing it cost gold but I never got to ask how much.
Battle and Quest system: This should be released sometime after towns. The first quest may not be for items but rather to determin you class in the battle system. Lanzer said that the battle system will have the 'classic or rather, typical classes found in most games as well as a few special to the Gaia world such as the Spammer class'
Some of you may wonder, when will Gaia get back wings? Lanzer commented that due to back wings being in such high demand that part of the quest system will later on alow you to quest for such items in the future as well as weapons for the battle arena and old donation items and new items most likely only availbe through long quest.
I can't recall but Gaia battle system will have PvE and of course PvP (do not take this to heart I may be wrong on this it was quite loud at the time)
Funny note: During the pannel a girl dressed as Gino stood up during questions to ask Lanzer, "Why do you tourture my father!?" promptly Lanzer stood up saying, "No! Your father tortures you!" at which point the crowd went craaaazzzyyy!
Other neat stuff: For those who didn't stay around, the Gaia NPC art auction got crazy, Sasha and the girl you meet when signing up on Gaia (cant recall her name) where bought by Kenchan of the Flowers Of Japan donation thread due to no one showing them the love. While a friend of mine HaeYongKi bought Liam for 53.
Now the crazy part, Moria was sold for... 140 bucks... the bidding reached such clamatic points due to my friend Jenn (Nothing Yet on Gaia still) being offered money from friends to help her win, the actuall winner who's SN I did not get has decided due to such interest in the picture that she would scan it at home and PM any one interested in a copy. If I manage to get one ill post it in here.
