Koori stood awkward off to the side, confused by how... happy he was to see Taryn. He... had missed her.
Naomi smiled. "Any preferences? I could make you something with the rest of our meals..."
Feeling rather... ignored, Garnet poured the tea extra well, pouting as she did it.

Koori didn't know whether to smile or if he should act like he didn't much care that she had shown up. "...know who I am, do ya?"
"Toast... right, I think we have some fresh bread... around... here?"
Garnet sighed and stood to help her find it. When Naomi got absent-minded like this...

Koori bit his tongue before he could reply, "Yes, he does." These were critical times. But... Taryn didn't need to hear his stupid opinion outloud. She could probably hear it in his mind, anyway... one of these days, he was going to get someone to teach him how to cloud his thoughts from invasion... or at least to get his brain to quiet down. "Are you... all right...? That bas-guy didn't hurt you, did he...?"

Koori was silent; he had no reasons for her to make her see. Maybe the loyalty that felt breached by Taryn's feelings and opinions was something that could only be gained from being raised for the role of faithful, expendable Follower... if she hadn't doged his question, at least he would have something he could reply to...

You'll make yourself believe anything, refusing to accept something everyone else tells you." Taryn said quietly, not looking up from the ground. She leaned against the tree behind him, sinking to the ground and shifting her wings to avoid getting spinters in them.

Koori was still. "Love..?" he murmured, rubbing a hand across his forehead after a moment. "You still...?" These were the times he resented being trapped in his own head the most; when others knew what he was thinking, and he couldn't tell the same. He wanted to think it didn't sting. Taryn's words... her understanding about why he thought the way he did... of course she would understand since she could read his mind... and then...

Taryn didn't look up. "I don't know..." she murmured, pulling her knees up to her chest. "I don't know why I bother with anything... It all seems pointless..." she whispered, turning her face away from him. She didn't read his mind, she didn't want to know what he thought... "Not now, Please don't let him come now..." she murmured, knowing she'd hurt her "guardian" if he came. "Not now, I'm too.... I can't deal with him..." She brushed something from her face before hastily getting up, looking to Koori. "Please, help me... Everything I do is emotion based, and if he comes now, when I'm too out of it... Please Koori, he's coming." Taryn begged, obviously panicing.

Koori was quiet; he couldn't think straight around her. Might as well try. "Let's go somewhere else, then," he suggested, reaching for her and weighing the options. Going to Israel or Caemara may throw off her pursuer, or perhaps staying here would deter a Caemara dwelling angel best...
So long as she didn't hurt so bad, anywhere was fine.

Taryn nodded, she didn't care where she went, as long as it was away from here and the angel who was looking for her. She pulled her hand away, hastily explaining. "I don't know that I won't feel what you do, or hear your thoughts. I try not to, it just happens, and I don't want to accidentally do anything..."
