Aeife turned in the water, her hair gently flowing behind her. Her eyes looked to Gordon, knowing he may very well be right, but not feeling as if she cared. Still, she obeyed his commanding, yet concerned, tone. Gliding slowly, she swam toward his location, being careful not to get so close that he might see more than he should.

"I had to wake up," she said bluntly and without emotion, but her voice had a certain alertness to it.

With great effort, she lifted herself out of the lake and on to solid ground again. She stood shakily, feeling twice as heavy as before now with her long hair completely soaked through and the temperature of the air getting to her as the night breezes played over her wet skin.

Aeife quickly grabbed her cloak and wrapped the heavy fabric about her. While she was there, she snatched her still damp dress from the tree limb and brought it back to the fire with her to dry. She couldn't help but feel somewhat hurt by being called strange. Maybe she was, maybe she was crazy even, but was that really how other people saw her? Could anyone truely see just how much she declined, day by day, to her own madness and suffering? Was it so obvious?

"It smells good," she said quietly as she sat near to the embers to warm herself, her voice still lacking a certain amount of enthusiasm. Rather than letting her white dress rest on the ground, she laid it out across the boulder, spreading it's wide sleeves like wings to help it dry faster.

Aeife accepted the portion with a respectful nod, taking the reed plate onto her lap. She felt bad when he gave her a knife and fork when she realized that he had to use his hands. However, she wouldn't want to seem ungrateful, so she used them to eat the meat. She cut and ate small pieces at a time, minding her manners despite being out in the wild. After eating about half her meal, she stopped and looked at Gordon.

"It's delicious... Thank you..."

*a portal appears in the middle of the forest with a loud crack and he falls out hitting the ground face first he needed to feast and regain his energy but there didnt seem to be a village anywhere he gets up and looks around and spots what seemed to be a large bear type creature he smirks and walks over to it slowly ..........when he gets closer it looks up at him with anger ready to swipe at him but a secound to late it was........he grabs onto it with his bladed claws and sinks his teeth into the bear draining not only blood and consumeing flesh but also its soul it gives out a loud wail and then dies ..................he steps back and licks the blood of his mouth and walks away*

trying to outrun your past, eh?

"Something like that," she lowered her head, feeling somehow ashamed. Like it was wrong to try and get away, like she was supposed to be this impossibly strong person that could deal with all this. It was just too much for her to handle...

Aeife stared at the food on her lap, not eating it at the moment. Little did she know that something all to familiar was drawing nearer.

*sais in a sincere tone* Y'know, I can hardley blame you sometimes.... I've been tempted to do it myself. I have nothing here anymore. I was thinking of heading back east, or maybe south...you could come with me, if you want.

*nods* it's okay, I'm not going to force you. *tosses the last bit of pheasant to Kel* It's getting a tad late...
