hm. i kinda get it now...
if you go in at night, you can play with the switches, and to check for the light, wouldn't the light shine through under the door??

if you had someone come in with you, one could be in the room saying if it's on or not and the other could be flipping the switches.

You can't have anyone else. You can't see the light unless you are in the room. just you, and you get one chance to check the light. You have to know the answer by the time you get out of the room, and you cant touch the switches at all while in the room.

What you do is turn one switch on for about 2 minutes. then you shut it off and flip on the second switch and sprint into the room. If the bulb is on, it is the second switch. If the bulb is warm, it is the first. If it is neither, it is the third.
