Marina watched Buffy head upstairs, then sighed. She closed her eyes for a moment, but quickly opened them. *Can't fall asleep....not this early.....not safe....* she thought to herself as she dismissed the fireball and began pacing a little to stay awake.

Buffy got to the top of the stairs and then she peaked her head around the corner of the door into Josie's room. She saw him pacing back and forth and mumbling to himself. Buffy stood up straight holding the stake behind her back and knocked "Hey Josie, are you alright? May I come in?" Buff looked down the stairs at Marina with a concerned look.

Marina stilfed a yawn, but kept moving. *Can't fall asleep.....just can't....* she thought silently.

Josie heard Buffy outside the door and tried to answer her, but before he could get any words out he screamed out loudly. He could feel himself losing control and tried with all his strength to hold on. But then with one final push Lou took over Josie's body, a wicked smile slipped onto his face.

"Lou...is that..you?" Buffy came into the bedroom with her stake ready "FAITH WAKE UP!!!! THE VAMP TOOK OVER HIS BODY!" Buffy rushed in and tried to pin him against the wall, but she missed. Buffy turned around and couldn't see him. For all she knew, he wasn't in the bedroom anymore. "Marina! I think he might have gotten out of the room! Hurry, do something! Help me find Lou!!!"

Marina was instantly alert. "What do you expect me to do? I'm seven! I have as much of a chance of finding him as you do!" she yelled back, small flames circling her wrists.

Lou grabbed Buffy from behind, and ran his tongue up her neck. "I was right, you are tasty." he whispered in her ear, wrenching the stake from her hands and throwing it on the other side of the room. "I see my lesser half told you about me." he ran his fingers through Buffy's hair and eyed her neck hungrily.

Marina ran up the stairs, skidding to a stop infront of the door. "Don't you dare hurt Miss Buffy!" she yelled, hurling a fireball straight towards Lou.

Lou shoved Buffy to the side and managed to side step the fireball. He grinned evilly, "You know, it's not wise to mess with me little girl." he suddenly vamped out, and bared his fangs at Marina. "It brings out the worst in me." and with that he charged at her..

Buffy grabbed Lou from his leather jacket and threw him into the wall. "You are NOT going to hurt this girl! You will have to hurt me first!" Just then Buffy ran at him with a stake and missed again. She thought *what the hell is wrong with me, I can't even stake a vamp anymore...stupid Spike...no, not Spike, probably what Faith said earlier is making me do this. I can't prove her right, not this time!* Then Buffy got up and stabbed him in the back, but not enough to pierce his heart.

"Miss Buffy, get away from him!" Marina yelled. "Don't worry about me, I can take care of myself, okay? I'm used to this sort of thing. Just go! I don't want you to get hurt!"

"Alright, I will go downstairs and call Anya. Keep your eyes one him! I will be right back!"
Buffy booked it down the stairs, and tripped over Faith's legs that were sitting across the table. "Not now!" Buffy heard a noise behind her, she looked back and he was there!

Lou grunted and pushed Buffy away from him, He turned snarled at the Slayer. His eyes glazed over and he felt his control over Josie start to falter. "No, not now." he growled, and kicked Buffy hard in the stomach.

*cough cough - deep breath - cough cough* "Mar..ina..help me. He's losing strength..." With that all Buffy could do was kick Lou in the shins and make him fall over on his back, now lying near the bottom of the stairs!

"Get away from her!" Marina growled, throwing a fireball at him. She made it stop right infront oh his face. "Get away from her NOW." she said, her voice going low on the last word.
