Skyy turned the option over in his head a couple times. Either he go home with this boy who was practically a complete stranger or stay for who knew how much longer in hospital. Of course, the old mother's cliche came to his thoughts: Don't go off with strangers. But he looked over their current situation. They were both with injuries, Kalen was smaller than himself, and he had a mage's power on his side(still unaware of Kalen's own). He'd be fine.
"Sure," he agreed, leanign down to scoop up the other crutch from the floor. "Sounds like a plan to me, but uh.. When do you think things will settle down out there? I seriously doubt they'd just let us waltz out of here so we'll need to do a little of the sneaking bit."

Azure hues drifted over to the clock on the wall. 8:48 pm. His uncle was a doctor and he remembered... shift changes happened somewhere around 9pm.
"I think the nurses and residents will be less attentive around nine," he stated, "They change shifts. So.. if you can... lean on my wheelchair rather than crutches and act like you're wheeling me to the bathroom or something... we can make a break for it into the elevator," he thought aloud.
Looking back from the clock to the other, he inquired, "What do you think?"

"I think it sounds like you've done this before," Skyy said, rather unsteadily walking himself over toward the chair-bound Kalen. "You're not some kind of criminal master-mind, are you?" When reaching the wheelchair, he switched the crutches into one hand to lean them against the wall. This left him balancing on a single foot. Never good in his case. Already being rather clumsy, he began wobbing from side to side.
"Woah, woah.." he said, trying stable himself with his arms. Didn't help. Toppling, he was lucky the wheelchair was there or else he would have had an unpleasant meeting with the floor. He managed to grab one of the handles, but his upperbody fell over the back of the chair. Somewhat draped over Kalen's shoulder, Skyy winced. "Ow, ribs.. Sorry."

Kalen grinned, watching Skyy make his way over to the chair. "I might be. You never know," he replied teasingly. But once Skyy had made his way around the chair and was audibly having difficulty, Kalen became a more alarmed.
It happened so quickly. Kalen felt the weight of the other bearing lightly on his shoulder and his head was turned to see the other there. "Oh my god," he murmured, concerned about harming Skyy's ribcage. "Are they broken?"

"The doctors told me they were just bruised up," Skyy answered shifting himself into an upright position. He already knew he was bad enough on two feet. He didn't want to imagine what other kind of falls he was going to have while stranded on only one. "I'll be fine, don't worry about it." Taking ahold of both the wheelchair's grips, he took a moment to compose himself. So he was really going to do this? A couple injured youths going to escape the hospital because they didn't feel like being locked in there overnight?
... Hell yes they were.
"Is it about that time?" he asked, gingerly turning Kalen's chair to face the door.

Kalen was relieved to hear the news. With Skyy's question, he looked back to the clock in question. 8:59pm. So close... Kalen held his messenger bag and coat tightly in his lap as he watched that red second hand click the seconds away. "Wait for it..." he breathed.
"Now," he declared, the red hand hitting the hour. 9pm. The nurses and doctors should be away from their desks changing out of scrubs, switching shifts, or grabbing that rare cup of distasteful hospital coffee.

Skyy edged the wheelchair out of his open door, hobbling on his single foot. He peeked his head out in time to see a door close to one of the 'Authorized Personnel' rooms. It seemed Kalen was right. It was just like clockwork. Without hesitating another moment, the dark-haired boy hurriedly wheeled Kalen towards the desks where the elevators were. Over and over in his mind, he was telling himself not to stumble and not to trip. That would definitely lose some of their much needed time.
But it seemed luck was with them for the moment. His fist connected with the down arrow and the doors opened. Inside they went and Skyy released a soft sigh of relief. "Alright.. I hope that was the hard part," he said.

Mie-tanuki Shadi looked back over at the other, a pained expression on his face. "You... you really think so?" he asked anxciously, his fingers nervously fidgitting with the hem of his shirt in a motion that had it fraying to threads in seconds. He might be weak, but his clothes were thin enough - after all, despite Shadi's potential to read out money, they were still poor due to Gervain's insistance that they not do anything to stand out too much - that it easily fell to peices.
His face brightened as the other offered his help. At last - someone who might... maybe he would be able to find his bag with this man's assistance. Shadi was, after all, not at good at finding things. He was a klutz at the best of times and now, with his nerves at their wit's end, was not at all the best of times. "Th-thank you..." he murmured, pushing monochrome bangs out of his eyes as he straightened up. "Whatever." Brice shrugged, not like he was doing it to be nice. If he went home right now he'd probably just sit on his couch and look at the ceiling the rest of the day. This would be more entertaining to say the least.
"Come on." making a quick retreat from the horrid heat of the coffee shop, Brice took a long deep breath of cold air when he stepped outside. Much better. Glancing around to see if maybe the other boy had stuck around, Brice didn't see him... though you would think the other would have waited for his friend. Well this just made it more difficult. Waiting for Shadi to follow after him he sipped at his ice coffee, finishing it off and tossing it in a near by trash can.
"So any idea where your pal would be?" Brice asked, using the term pal loosely. He wasn't exactly sure how close or what kind of relationship the two were in so he thought it was the safest word to use in refering to Shadi's bag napper.

Heiharu Ace of Dark Blade ((yeah sorry bout that. i didnt know what else to say. Also the mental images of your post make me *squee* ))
::Jaunus lowered his eyes again and laughed. As he watched the boy it reminded him of when he was little. The same sort of wide eyed stare, though not as wide as Apples, that seemed to be seeing everything and nothing all at the same time. What confused him and made him feel strange was the way the boy looked at him. He stayed there looking into Apples eyes until he realized he was actually eating an apple. Jaunus smiled again and took the apple from Apple and told him to be quiet. He firmly grasped the Apple and made it wither and die. All that was left in hsi hands were the seeds. He picked up one seeds and suddenly, like life fastforewarded, the seed went through germenation to fruition in less than a minuete. He did the same with the other seeds::
"ta da! SO what do you think Apple Puff?" ((Yey. :"D That is, after all, the point with Apple. He's like... a manga character. I find the way I write rescently has turned to descriptions that would be best for manga. x3;; In his innitial deseign, Apple is actually half centaur and is basically a walking bag of cuteness, stupidity and pheramones. But there's no such things as centaurs in this story.))
Apple was obviously unhappy as the other stole his treasure, his bottom lip jutting out to form a pout - that is, after he unstuck his lips of sticky juice by licking them. Amazingly enough, his eyes somehow were capable of becoming even wider and he gawked at the other for quite some time as the apple withered and then other apples grew from it. He looked confused for a moment and then snatched one of the apples from the man, turning away from him before he took a large - and very messy - bite out of it, his face set in what should have been a scowl, but was much too childish and ended up looking more like a pout. He frowned, staring down at the apple with a disapointed expression on his face, and then handed it back to Jaunus. "Not sweet enough," he stated, arms crossed over his chest.

"So any idea where your pal would be?" Brice asked, using the term pal loosely. He wasn't exactly sure how close or what kind of relationship the two were in so he thought it was the safest word to use in refering to Shadi's bag napper. Shadi followed Brice closely, peering around them to see if Ger had stayed. But, as Shadi had known, he hadn't. Shadi always knew when Ger was near... It was almost never useful, though, because he was never able to escape from his partner, even with that warning. Somehow Gervain always knew how and where to find him... but Shadi had no such accomplishment. It was very agravating how the other always successfully disapeared when Shadi needed him - which was quite rare - and how he could always capture Shadi when the boy didn't want to be anywhere near his partner - which happened quite often.
Frowning, the boy shook his head, looking distressed. "No... I'm sorry," he murmured slowly. If he mentioned a grave yard or a hospital... well, if this man - whoever he was - happened to be a mage... it would be quite self-explanitory. And Necromancers were not at all well-liked. In fact, most despised them. Shadi doubted if this man - that is, if he were a mage - would be willing to help him if he knew the boy was connected to a Necromancer. And if he wasn't a mage, then he might not help anyway just because... because anyone who was friends with someone who made a habbit of hanging out at hospitals or grave yards must be a weirdo, too.

((Ah... sorry... xD;; I'm not too sure how to respond to yours because your character elft. xD;;; Gervain is not at all the type of person to follow someone... unless they're about to die. If he follows, he may only raise suspicion. if he doesn't, the other will eventually forget him. that's Ger's logic. Hmm... but... give me a minute to think and I'll come up with something, 'kay?))

Levvy "I just..." Pale green eyes roamed over the snow, making sure the cracks in the hard packed ice really were there. A fine line of cracks could be seen in the hollow between the crevices of snow. He shook his head and stormed off down the street, waving his hand, waving it off. He was tired, he was cold, he couldn't have done that or seen it and that stranger had nothing to do with it. Right? Maybe. ((Sorry, I just always figured magic had currents like electricity, I wasn't saying anything about aura's, just that his unawakened power got drawn to the surface a bit. ^^; )) Gervain watched, his expression skeptical, as the other left. however, he soon cleared his face - like wiping out the differences of the land with heavy layers of snow. It was best not to ask questions... or to raise too much attention. If he remained inconspicuous, he would be forgotten. And then he could be safe. Gervain did not often show it openly, but he was quite paranoid. Most mages were. The ones who weren't were usually overly confident in their skills or student. And they usually ended up dead.

Leif cast his eyes backwards, stumbling over in the snow upon seeing that it was smoothed out, not a sign of the sharp cracks in the snow. "What the ********..." He couldn't ignore that. He looked down at the snow and stalked back to the man he bumped into. He did a double take, looking back to where he wanted to be, which was down the street, then back at Gervain.
"What was that?" He asked, taking a stab in the dark that he could figure out what the hell was going on.
