My()DiSco()Blood()Bath MMk. Well if you can. Just off the top of your head. Think of things that would be needed at a convention. Kanna and I have a list as well. If you Om me your list we will put our two together and then compile one list. From that.. we will start looking for pricing of each thing. I would say just wait untill the meeting to make a list. But its somthing I think we should get on. Because we have to start setting a budget for our selfs. So when we look for sponsers and confide in them. We know what we will need to work with. I made a quick list that I could think of, but you dont seem to be on AIM right now so I shall PM it

Hi, AlienOmega's half brother here. He's been keeping me informed about this convention and I am interested. He's informed me you're looking for volunteers, and says I should sign up. I'm not wholly against the idea, I'm just not sure I wouldn't have a falling out or have something of greater importance come up. I wouldn't want to disappoint anyone.
So, the basic question comes down to what is the general deadline for help sign up??

Clothing was given to me free when I logged in, other than the doctor thing. I like the shoes, the headband makes me gives me a nice House feeling combined with the sneakers.
On to business matters, when is my deadline for commitment?

There is not much of a Deadline of Commitment yet. Depending if You want to just help and be a Volunteer. Or Be part of the JaniCon Staff. When it comes to the Staff...Im not quite sure. But probably by the 8th or a bit after that. Because at that meeting. We will be assigning jobs and positions, collaberating ideas, setting dates and locations.
At the moment we are getting our basic information. And Kanna and I are assigning anyone that has committed to help a j ob. Maybe.. to email hotels and find information.. or look up prices for things.. or find some artest companies that could make the logo.
Things like that. mainly so on the 8th everyone has somthing to bring to the table.... literally.
Hmm, I guess so to just answer your question.. by the ......12th. Unless we find ourselfs lacking in staff.

I started kicking around a couple ideas.
As for a panel, how about a decade panel on the 80s or 90s? Both? I've heard plenty of time people talk about there favorite animes all come from this decade or that time or whatever, so why not have a panel dedicated to it? This is something I personally couldn't run, but I'm sure there are plenty of people knowledgeable about these subjects out there. Ask around. Big thing is panel runners have to be able to take criticisms and ignore them, and to be able to not dish out too much hate themselves. Just discuss trends and all stars from the decade.
Another interesting idea to educate some fans is a panel for the people behind the animes. A panel on directors. Most people know who Hayao Miyazaki is, but a lot of other directors don't get much attention at all, even though they've made some great animes. I'm sure there are a good four or five directors that aren't well known but have made some great stuff that is. Get one or two people to throw around facts and discussions about them. Again, sorry, but a panel I'm not too knowledgeable on. Looks like I'm just making up panels I'd like an education on.
When I skimmed through the thread I didn't notice whether or not you'd said it would be hosted at a hotel or not, but if it is you've got to find a way to keep those kids entertained after hours. Last thing you want is for them to get bored and get destructive and never be able to use the hotel again.

"Everyone step along the line this way, please. Sir, please have your badge showing..." "Yes, yes, I'll bring that box into the other room." That kind of thing.

Although.. useally latenight panels are adult themed.. maybe.. we can make one for teens. Perhaps not late night panels but instead something like a discussion group. An "expert" isn't brought in to discuss and educate, but those already educated come to discuss real life forum environment. Just general places to go talk or play video games, perhaps keep one viewing room open. Basic things to keep them entertained that don't make people with normal sleeping schedules feel left out.

Okay, I dont beleive the 80's/90's theme pannel will work, there are some anime fans that are hard core and get there stuff right when its comeing out in japan. Release dates would be confused and what not. In most cases what we in America would consitter a new title is 4-5 years old in japan sweatdrop
