⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊ Finale Feedback ₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

Lovely Soggy...
I wanted to start off by saying that throughout this whole cycle, you've always been quite the wild card to me—
each and every challenge I feel you've brought something unexpected to the table, making every look a delightful
surprise. This collection is no different! I'm touched by how sweet and personal this is, and I can really feel how
much pride you take in your role as a mother coming through. Looking at our final collections this cycle, you've
easily brought the most creative theme, and making the experience of motherhood the focus of your collection
knowing that baby-themed items are so limited is certainly an impressive feat. I also wanted to call special
attention to your formatting—which, while it doesn't factor into scoring—is always a work of art. Of the looks
presented, sweet and playful Marilou and the mother-goddess-like Delilah are highlights for me. While every look
tells a wonderful story, I would have loved to see the fashion concepts elevated just a little more throughout,
especially for Olivia as your main model. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed seeing this side of you shared with us.
Well done!

· · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · ·

Sweet nenone...
My, what a journey you've had this cycle! It's been so wonderful to see your growth over the past few months,
starting off as an alternate to ultimately making it to the grand finale. I hope you feel as proud of yourself as we
judges do. I very much enjoyed your usage of visual metaphor in the chain/ribbon motifs throughout this collection
to speak to your life experiences; I think it helped to make this theme feel much more personal rather than
something that's been done before, and the openness and vulnerability in your descriptions really helped
me to connect with this on a deeper level. Of all the collections here, yours is the most successful in building
cohesion in your lineup while still highlighting your main model—Bobbi's look definitely feels like the star of
the show in her vibrant and splendid garb, but strong, imposing Sunny and elegant Kiana are highlights for
me as well. While there are a few small details I could pick apart (like Tara's look needing a tad more contrast
or Bobbi's skirts being obscured by the foreground) everything you gave here is still fantastic and a treat to the
eyes. Wonderful job!

· · ─ ·ʚɞ· ─ · ·

Dearest John...
From the very get-go, you've been a consistent powerhouse in this competition, and your mastery
of texture and detail throughout your builds is nothing short of commendable. This collection is 100%
true to your brand in that manner; all of your model's outfits are so visually rich and you've nailed the
motifs for each class. I'm a big fan of how you transformed the background in each look to create a
unique (but cohesive) setting for your models. Your Kiana is my personal favorite; her mage get-up
is so stunning, but Moxie and Mathilde are both strong looks with gorgeous colors as well (and I don't
think blue, brown, and gold is odd at all!). My main critique of this collection is that I would have really
liked to see some more dynamic poses to help underline your theme—when I think of video games
and MMOs, I think of action and movement, and a few of the poses here read as really stiff and static.
That said, I am still overall very pleased with what you've shown, and despite some critiques these all
have something praiseworthy. Great work!

Soggy As a mom myself I really appreciate this collection. It has a lot of heart and I do feel it has some very cute momcore looks.
Its a creative inspiration and I applaud you for embracing this part of yourself for the collection.
Especially because I specifically avoided letting myself use my motherhood / my daughter as inspiration for my collection because I was afraid of portraying myself through that lens.

I do like the story behind Kiana's look because I also end up with bows in my hair the same way but I wish there were more bows. The outfits for her and Marilou just aren't as strong as the other three.
Delilah has my favorite look I adore that its this lovely lingerie but done in a way that feels sweet with the baby. I wish I had underwear/sleepwear that was so cute after I had my daughter.
Tamara looks warm and cozy and the mix of patterns here works very well. Olivia looks beautiful in green but her look isn't as strong as Delilah or Tamara I wish it had a little more going on.

Overall It just wasn't as fashion focused as I wanted for the finale. Some of the looks are incredibly cute and stylish I wish you had pushed them a tad farther. This is not to say that I don't think you did an amazing job!
I love the way you think about multiple angles. I love the heart you put into these looks. I can see the thought and personal connection in each design.
I want you to be proud of yourself you have delivered so many strong looks throughout the competition and in this collection.

nenone: This is a deeply personal collection and I am blown away by the choices in styling and the way the collection is a gradient.
Its a strong fashion collection. With each look progressing the story.
It reminds me of actual fashion shows where designers focus heavily on which looks to send down in what order to communicate their intentions and inspiration.
Thats not an easy aspect to nail. I like the goddesses as representations of your life stages. Its more unique than just having a collection of goddesses and is so much more creative than one might think simply looking at the outfits.
This is why having a good description is so important in this competition.

Sunny looks incredible here other than Bobbi her look is my favorite. The heavy chains are such a great choice and the make up is so powerful. Emerson, Kiana and Tara also look great.
Tara's clothing is a little hard to see but I understand what you were going for.
Kiana's dress isn't my favorite but the way you made her vitiligo part of the story of the collection is so incredible.
Emerson looks great but I do think her outfit could fit into the collection a bit better.
Finally Bobbi the model I liked least out of the model line up in auditions has become a favorite through your work. Here she looks like a beacon of light truly the pinnacle of the collection.
You just know how to style her to make her look incredible.
It goes to show that there are no bad models just Models that need strong designers.

You weren't in the competition in the first round. You were chosen because someone dropped and we reached out to about five designers to see if they wanted to do an audition for Bobbi.
You blew us away with not only how quick you were to respond but with how amazing the look you chose was.
You made it from there to here the top three! you are honestly an inspiration to all the designers who tried out and didn't make the cut.
You prove that a designer can be amazing but just happen to not make the cut because of model choice in the auditions.
I want everyone to look at what you have accomplished and see that they can keep coming back and trying again because it doesn't mean they aren't a great designer.

╔═════╗
•̩̩͙☽•̩̩͙✺•̩̩͙☾•̩̩͙
╚═════╝
John: I am a huge nerd so this MMO inspired collection is right up my alley.
I won't mince words here I think you struggled with this concept.
Not the MMO concept, but choosing a concept for the line.
I also struggled in that same way last cycle. Its hard to choose a theme to represent yourself as a succinct idea.
Especially when clearly you have so much you COULD say.
Its a curse to have so many ideas and not know which to go for. You clearly got pretty far into the natural disasters.
What I am saying is I think once you had your concept you didn't have as much time to nail it. I think you are stronger than your final collection.

I think you had several strong looks Kiana and Mathilde both look incredible.
I found them to be the most creative designs in the collection.
I think Moxie as and elven archer wearing green is a tad less creative but the execution is superb.
Solveig's look is a solid but I feel like its more expected and the other looks are visually softer making this one stick out.
Lastly you changed Vanity's face too much she doesn't look recognizable and the thief look is a very standard take.

I want you to know that from the very start I saw you as a potential top three designer.
You have a way with your styling choices and layering that is so standout and fashionable!
Challenge after challenge you stayed strong and consistent.
John I think you are one of the strongest competitors I have seen since I joined the guild and you should be proud of yourself.

My PC7 Finale Thoughts
(Flames' Version)

SoggykittenART, nenone, and John, congratulations to you three, our finalists
for Project Catwalk Cycle 7! emotion_bigheart

You three made your mark in the cycle, made iconic fashion moments, and
dominated. You ate, you mothered, and you conquered, and I couldn't be
prouder to be a witness to your journeys that led to this very moment.

I love every single designer in this cycle. I think every single one of you has
what it takes to win this cycle, but kudos to you, final three, for making it to the
end.

With all that said, here are my thoughts for the finale collections of Cycle 7:

SoggykittenART — Olivia:

Mother Soggy, I adore your creative process in every single entry you brought
throughout the cycle. In every challenge, you always bring something new to
the table, something that no one's ever thought of. You mothered the
competition, bagging yourself 2 challenge wins, with your 2nd win securing
you a spot in the finale. Kudos to you for your run, mama.

I am deeply in awe at your love letter to yourself as a mom, and to all moms
out there in the form of art, that is, this amazing collection centred around
motherhood. I meant it when I said I love your creative process in your looks,
and, dare I say, this might be the most creative work you've done yet. Your
Kiana looks adorable in pink and purple, with the baby clips to add to the
cuteness. Tamara looks chic and cosy in this brown floral number. My
personal favourites in your collection are Delilah, looking like a supermodel in
her maternity photoshoot, and Olivia, your main model, in this exquisite
emerald green and gold number, looking like a paparazzi-ready celebrity
mom.

Beautifully maternal as Marilou looks in this spring-like themed outfit, I find her
to be the least memorable, compared to the other moms. Love and praises for
what you presented to us aside, compared to your fellow finalists, your
collection falls a tad towards the simpler side. I do wish that you had gone
more ambitious with your stylings, to give what's already a solid concept that
extra push to the next level. Regardless, this collection is full of love, and I
love it, and you, Soggy.

nenone — Bobbi:

My sweet, sweet nenone, it's crazy to think that in a different timeline, you're
not a part of this cycle, but here you are in this timeline where you are. Crazier
to think that you went from being an alternate to now a finalist. But one should
not be surprised that you made it this far, seeing as how you ate up the cycle,
with 3 wins under your belt, 2 of them back-to-back. You are one tough
competition, nenone.

Reading your story through this fairytale book, that is, your fantastical
collection, I am moved by your storytelling prowess. It's not the first time we've
seen a goddess concept done in a finale, but you put your spin on it with your
storyline, with the chains and ribbons in each model. Each goddess you
assigned to each model suits them perfectly. Of all the Kianas, I'm most in
love with your Kiana. You fully utilised her features and created such a
symbolically fashionable piece for her. I love the bright colours you chose for
Emerson; she looks radiant and glowing. And, of course, your main model,
Bobbi, as the goddess of the soul, looks breathtakingly majestic and
absolutely stunning. I could go on and on with the adjectives, to be honest.

Of all the goddesses, I find Sunny to have the least impact, in terms of
execution of concept, but that's merely subjective on my end. And I do wish
that Tara were in a different coloured outfit or background so that I can see the
details of her outfit better. With all that said, this is one beautiful ending to this
chapter of your story, nenone.

John — Moxie:

My dear John, you never cease to amaze us with your layering skills in your
styling. Every challenge, you showcase your attention to detail, and we can't
help but fall in love with each entry. You managed to earn yourself 2 challenge
wins. Everything you've done up to this point, from your wins to earning a spot
in the finale, you deserve every praise for it all.

Admittedly, it's not the first time we've seen someone take an MMORPG
concept in a cycle, but I always find myself signing up for each one, including
yours. Your styling skills need to be studied, with how detailed you made
every single outfit for all the models. How fully thought out and realised, with
how much texture there is to them, and even went as far as paying homage to
the first entries of your fellow competitors with their models. It warms my heart
to know that you have them in mind, in the making of your collection. Your
Kiana looks ethereal in this white and blue mage outfit, Solveig, as a warrior
looks powerful in red. Vanity looks like the only dominatrix in this black thief
garb. Mathilde seems like she's ready to steal Jack Sparrow's job in her
swashbuckling pirate number. And, your main model, Moxie, looks rich and
ravishing in this forest green elven archer fantasy.

Flawless the styling may be, looking at this, I do find this collection on the less
creative side, comparatively, than your fellow finalists' entries. Fitting as the
warrior role for Solveig, and the green colour scheme for archer Moxie may
be, I find them to be a tad predictable. And, in terms of makeup choices, there
were hits, misses, and so-so results. Heavy on being a miss with Vanity's
features. Voluminous lips are not for everyone, unfortunately. With all that
said, I can't wait to see how your heroes fare in their adventures in the
MMORPGverse.

Everyone who competed this cycle should be proud of themselves, but
especially you three finalists. You have all had some of the best journeys I've
ever seen in Project Catwalk. The highs and the lows, the not even being a first
round pick all the way to the finale, it has been an amazing thing to see. Thank
you for being a part of it, for giving it so much time and letting all of us get to
know you better and enjoy your art. heart

SoggykittenART with Olivia

Soggy love, I love that you always go all out on the presentation for your entries.
Ever since Olivia's Bloom Nook I've been excited to see what you would bring for
the over all aesthetic of the post, and you didn't disappoint here. You also got top
marks from me for creativity for this finale collection. Each individual look in your
collection was perhaps not the most creative? But the over all vision was so good
and I never would have thought to approach a collection from a realistic view of
motherhood. Olivia looks fantastic - green is truly her color. Also loooove that you
gave Kiana vitiligo on her hands. I also really appreciated that you considered the
360 aspect of the looks and gave complete looks as a result. Now some of the
babies look odd and don't really match their mama, but I get the vision. For me
the weakest look of the collection was Delilah. I loved the idea of her look and it
was such a smart thing to do, but it just didn't look good. Colors were both too
matchy and too clashing, and something with the pose and layering just looked
off. But this was a delightful collection over all, you have been a joy this cycle,
and I can't wait to see what you keep doing from here.

❀ ∙ ✿ ∙ ❀

nenone with Bobbi

nenone, you have no idea how happy I am that you ended up being a part of this
cycle. You have given us looks that I will remember for years and this collection is
one that will be staying with me. It is one of the best collections I've had the pleasure
to see and judge. Goddesses are very popular and hard to be creative with but you
were very smart to pick some that aren't as common and just brought things to life in
such a fresh way. Your descriptions were on point, each one highlighted something in
their look that I either missed the first time around or didn't appreciate the significance
for it. I also really loved - and want to commend - you for being so vulnerable with this
collection. It was personal in such a beautiful way that is not easy to do. Your look for
Kiana was perfect for me, it was everything I wanted to see. Bobbi looked amazing
but there was one too many elements happening around the face that left her feeling
a little overwhelmed by the look. Also would have loved if Tara's look wasn't quite as
dark so we could appreciate some of the details more. You should be so proud of the
work you've done, and I hope to see you around the guild for a long time to come.

❀ ∙ ✿ ∙ ❀

John with Moxie

John, much like Soggy you are always going to give us a super cohesive aesthetic for
your presentation and I love that. You had us shivering with anticipation as we waited
for this collection to get posted - rude - but worth it haha. This is one of the most cohesive
collections I've seen, and it really highlights what you do so well. The backgrounds you
chose were very well done. Every model is also in great color choices to compliment them
and I just love that you went for the Runescape inspiration. Kiana looks incredible - one of
the most beautiful looks - but whatever make up you chose gave her lidded eyes. That
drastically changes the look of her face and expression, which is a bummer. The adding
of lips to Solveig worked, but something about Vanity just looked wrong. Great idea, bad
execution. Moxie looks good but we have a hard time seeing her face. One of the things
you do best is layering a million things together to make a cohesive look that we can look
at for ages and still come away with new details. But one of the things that hurt you in the
competition - and especially here - is that same strength. Sometimes there doesn't need
to be a million elements, sometimes it is a much stronger look to simplify things a little bit.
You have been a delight all cycle, I absolutely loved seeing what you did with Moxie week
after week, and I can't wait to see more of you.

✩ Sweet Soggy ✩

You always had the most unlike others' ideas, while some fashion choices were a hit or miss,
you would always score high with your creativity. Your final collection is no different; it's truly a
unique and personal experience. While I myself am not a mother, I can appreciate how you
weaved motherhood into your collection, creating a bunch of warm and cozy looks.
Out of all the outfits you've made, my favourite would be Marilou's, she just looks so playful,
the colours remind me of spring and Easter... I do wish you focused a bit more on the fashion
aspect of some of the looks, but you still did amazingly, nonetheless!
Also, it would be a crime if I were not to mention how amazing your formatting is, and the
addition of GIFs was a really smart idea!

☆═━┈┈━═☆

✩ Lovely nenone ✩
It's shocking how you almost didn't get in, and here you are now, one of the finalists. You must've had a bad day
during the auditions, because every look you made since then has been a win. You are the designer whose next
look was always better than the previous one; even when we thought it was impossible to improve further, you still did.
I love how you turned a somewhat generic theme (Greek gods) into an interesting and deeply personal collection. It felt
vulnerable and was full of little details most wouldn't notice. All your choices had a reason, not just an aesthetic one,
but deep meaning as well.
My personal favourites would be Tara, Kiana, and Bobbi. I was surprised how amazing Kiana looked in purples, and your
Bobbi looked so ethereal, just like a fairy.

You worked hard, and now it's time to rest on your laurels!

☆═━┈┈━═☆

✩ Dear John ✩
When we first saw your audition, we knew you would get into the circle. Since then, you've been constantly presenting us with
consistently strong looks, rarely missing a beat.
I myself also am a lover of MMOs and RPGs, so your collection was quite appealing to me. Honestly, it was a theme I pondered
when I was a finalist myself.
I adored the backgrounds you chose, and oh my, Kiana looked breathtakingly beautiful in these soft blue robes and with gold accessories.
While I did not like how static your designs were, I still can appreciate how good they were from a technical point of view - you're
amazing with layering and combining textures.

Your collection was beautiful and fun; I just can't wait to see what you'll keep doing from here.

Designers, you have all done such an amazing job this cycle and should be SO proud of yourselves.
These finale collections were all excellent and had some of the tightest scores I've seen yet in a finale.
That is part of why it took so long to get feedback out and these results posted, there was a lot of time
spent among the judges and crew discussing things. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving
your all this cycle. Giving us so much insight to who you are, all your creativity, giving so much of your
time to this, it is all so appreciated and it is seen. And now, without further ado, the results are......

The winner of Project Catwalk Cycle 7 is...
nenone
With the collection The Bindings of Life and model Bobbi.

Second place goes to...
SoggykittenART
With the collection The Days We Share and model Olivia.

Third place goes to...
