Kyla nodded to Cora before opening up one of the cabinets near the stove. Producing two mugs a few seconds later, she set them down on the counter near the stove. Then she fetching the tea from the drawer near the sink. Pulling two bags from the drawer before closing it. She returned to the mugs and put a bag in each before adding the hot water.

Than she brought Cora her mug of tea. The mugs were not of that high quality, but after all here in Storybrooke Kyla had just been a poor high school student. Luxury would not have been something that fit with the curse.
"Here you are, Master," she stated.

"Not far from here. I believe his apartment is just down the street. But I am not sure if he is home at the moment," Kyla replied calmly.

XX✭↝ locaтιon: Mr. Gold's Pawn Shop ✭↝ coмpany: Mr. Gold ✭↝ мood: Very Nervous

Aidan, or Baelfire, shook his head. He had been pacing outside on sidewalk along the main street for close to an hour. He had barely made it to the Pawn Shop before he lost his nerve. It happened. He had to get over the fear. The fear, nerves was probably a better word. He was not ready for this, but magic was back and it shouldn't be in this world. He had to make sure magic never reached his family, or hurt them in anyway.

He had to enter the shop at some point, he reminded himself. Standing outside was not going to help anyone. Not at all. A few steps towards the Pawn Shop was what it took for him to realize his father wouldn't even recognize him. It had been almost forty years since he had landed in this world. That was a long time without seeing someone. But that couldn't stop him. No, he had to keep going. Running a hand through his hair he moved forward again towards the shop.

He stopped at the door hesitating. He was not ready for this. Not at all, but it was too late to turn back. He gently turned the handle before pushing the door open. He flinched slightly hearing the bell ring to signal a customer. Taking a deep breath he entered the shop fully watching the door shut behind him. At least he was inside the shop. But what to do from there. Well, he had no idea.

Hearing the bell ring he stood from his stool and walked to the front of the shop “Greetings, and welcome, feel free to look around but do not touch anything.” The man he saw before him was new to town. He had never seen him before. He looked at this strange new visitor with wonder. How did he get through the barrier? He thought as he watched the man look around.

It was unheard of that anyone would enter into Storybrooke, and now, in the twenty-eight years of the curse this was the second newcomer. Besides Emma, who wasn’t even really a newcomer. Unless this man was not a newcomer, but like Emma someone that was sent from the enchanted world here, but how? The only accounts of anyone being able to go between different worlds that he could think of were normally used by him. And this world was locked out of that loop because it lacked magic. The man before him bared a striking resemblance to him when he was younger, but it could not be Bae, he vanished over three hundred and thirty years ago, if he had come here he would have been long sense dead.

“Just ring the bell if you need anything or would like a closer look at anything, I will be in the back.” He returned to the back room and fiddled with his vials of magic, he looked at them with no joy, he then went to his spindle and started to spin it, the small amount of wool he had left he turned into a small amount of gold, he was happy to have his power back, but would it really be useful in helping him find his son? Or was his son right under his nose and in Storybrooke hiding from him? He would never know. Or maybe he would someday but not anytime soon.

                            ☆ ⇨ locaтιon:Somewhere in town ☆ ⇨ coмpany:None ☆ ⇨ мood: Depressed

He did not know what to expect, he wondered the town to no avail. He did not enjoy his current mood, he was more than half way across town before he though enough to think that maybe asking Rumplestiltskin for help would not be such a bad idea, if it meant stopping Cora. He could not waste time however; he had to turn back now if he wished to ask the Dark One for help. He would not normally ask him under any normal circumstances. Asking a psychopath for help was worse than asking Gaius his old mentor for aid when he didn’t normally listen in the first place and caused all the ruckus .

He remembered his time in Camelot, when he would help Arthur solve so many different problems, and protect his King and friend. Now he was so far away, and Camelot was probably gone. That mist, it resembled the mist that once came from the fountain no to long ago. The magic mist that brought magic and memories, caused by true love. Though not a believer of it he knew the power love had on everything, and everyone, for one’s heart was the key to all magic. To truly be a powerful sorcerer one must have a strong heart, for magic put terrible strain on one’s body, he turned the corner onto main street, and walked towards the far end, to the Pawn Shop.

He noticed a strange man standing in front of the shop, pacing around with a confused, almost heart wrenched look on his face. He stayed back to watch the man, he did not seem harmful, and upon getting closer he looked like the man that was talking to Belle at Granny’s. Was he the one that claimed to be Baelfire? He only hoped that whatever was about to unfold would not tear a hole in his hopes to stop this darkness that loomed over Storybrooke.

Be careful to whom you give your heart, because when you give your heart to someone...

Cora looked around the humble little apartment wondering how a powerful druid managed to become caged in this little home. The curse was indeed powerful if it could bend mages to the caster's will. She took the mug with an appreciative nod.

"Thank you, a good cup of tea is hard to come by in the woods," she smirked, "but now that I'm here, our first order of business will be getting ourselves better lodgings. Something simple, but elegant... preferably up high."

Her form swirled and she was once again a child her brown eyes were laced with false innocence.

"I think you should take Sarah out for a stroll. We need to start gathering magic, and I need to know the layout of town. Now, tell me more about Snow's family."

on't you fret, my dear...
...t'll all be over soon.

"You may be the horse caretaker, but you eat like there is no tomorrow."

Daniel was game to be shown the rest of the town by Tristan, if he did not mind. Then again, the weird moment of a literal heavy heart got him to thinking. Barely twenty-four hours worth of living, maybe it was a bit too much for him to take in. Then again, perhaps it was something else of mystery. At the moment, though, it did not bother the man too much or at all for that matter. Looking back over to the two, he gave a small smile. "Whichever you think it would be easier for you, Belle." He did not want to intrude on anything and ruin a potentially good meal; but at the same time, he would feel terrible for not doing his part...well, of anything.

Taking a small walk over to the container that seemed to have other trash as well, he placed his prized tin can in there and went back over to the two.
"Well. If you want to, Tristan, I am up to taking a little bit more of a tour. At least around here so we do not have to travel too far away from the food." Most likely, it would be Daniel's nose that would bring them back to wherever Belle would be cooking at; but some more walking may do a little good.

If either of you cared about me, you would have listened...

Belle smiled brightly at the to men, they were endearing each in his own way. Men back in her world could be very unkind if they viewed you as a threat. Hercules had been an exception, and she had a feeling Daniel was the same way. Perhaps she was getting old, but she couldn't help but feel like a mother hen fussing over them both.

"Why don't you two see if you can fish us some dessert while I get this little guy ready?" she said brightly before standing up and setting down the fishing pole, "I think I can handle him on my own."

With that she wandered back towards the road and made her way home. It was impossible to lose her way in such a small town considering how the clock tower could be heard every 15 minutes or so. As she walked through the quiet but not-so-empty streets, Isabelle stirred. Belle tried to tell herself that it was not an all-together unpleasant thing to have Isabelle awaken, after all she was a part of her... right?

Whispers ate at the corner of her mind quick and uncoordinated. Isabelle was restless. Something was wrong, terribly wrong. The shadows in the neat alleys seemed darker and foreboding. Yet Belle could not place why the town had so much wrongness.

Her gaze instinctively flickered to Mr. Gold's Pawn Shop. He would know... but then she would have to explain it all. She would have to explain Isabelle. Not only was that a deeply personal matter, but quite honestly she couldn't explain Isabelle to herself. As much as it pained her to admit, she trusted Rumpel to do the right thing, but she didn't trust him to get so close to her. Perhaps she still had 'issues' to resolve. Ruby was right... she needed to talk to Dr. Hopper.

Another day! She would definitely have a long soul searching moment another day! Today, she had crab cakes to make... maybe a little bisque on the side.

Tristan Harker ~ Hercules

Tristan handed over the key to his place, so that Belle could let herself in and begin cooking. "Now I'm right to trust you with my key right? I'm not going to come home to find you've fleeced the place?" he said jokingly, he actually didn't have that much she could steal. He really should invest in some new stuff. He guessed that was the residual energy of Hercules still rubbing off on him, as him he had lived with bare minimum, he had grown to accept very little, there were no worldly possessions that he could own and nothing of any value that he kept. He didn't even own many clothes, for the most part of his life he wore a simple loin cloth and carried only his weapons and occasional armour.

He watched Belle go and he and Daniel walked off in the other direction. "Well I'm sure Belle has told you that there really isn't much around here. If it weren't for the fact that everyone in it being some sort of mythical creature it would be very boring." he said as he took him up the main street. "It's a nice town I guess, but then we haven't seen the rest here, it might be the worse, we don't know." he said with a slight laugh. "Pawnbrokers." he said pointing out Mr Golds shop. "You might want to be careful if you go in there." he warned, he personally could handle Mr Gold if he needed to, but he knew others couldn't so easily. "Bank." he said again pointing to the bank. "You know the diner." they continued on. "Bait shop, flower shop, general store...town hall...high school, Gipettos workshop....sheriffs station." He stopped at the end of the street and smiled. "Well this concludes our tour of main street." he said with a smile. "Oh there's a bar...would you like to go inside?" he said with a bit of a cheeky grin.

Kyla sipped at her own tea quietly watching Cora. How things had changed since before the curse had been cast. At one point she had been one of the most powerful priestess in Camelot. Back then her magic would have been strong enough to stop Cora, but here, magic was different and she no longer had the power to control things from her island alone. Now she had to actually interact with people and that in itself wore her down even before the curse had been broken.

"I understand," she replied about trying to find tea in the forest. In truth Kyla had only started tea after the curse had been casted. "Of course, Mistress," she stated. "Being high up might be a small problem, for this town doesn't really have any taller buildings."

The change from Cora to Sarah wasn't even noticed by the girl lacking a heart.
"As you wish. And Snow's family? Her family has become quite connected to your daughter during the curse. For Regina adopted Snow's grandson without realizing this many years ago," she responed as she started out of the apartment once again.

Aidan swallowed hard as he stod almost froze in the door. At least the years had treated his father well. But it still hurt just a bit not to be recognized right away by someone who was supposed to love him. But he had to remember years had gone past, supposedly hundreds of years had pasted. And he had grown older. He had been married, finished school, and fathered a child all during the time since he last saw his father. There was no way he looked the same.

He started to speak, but just a fraction too late. His father had already disappeared into the back room. It was strange because his father had barely aged a day since he last saw it. This whole experience all because of magic was strange. It was hard to comprehend sometimes, which is part of the reason he never fully told Neil about his past life. Sure he told his son stories, but to make it as the truth was something he couldn't do easily.

Stepping forward he studied the shop. He couldn't help but look around as he made his way to the desk. He had seen most of them before he left, but some he hadn't. He took his time before he reached for the bell and rang it. He had come to see his father, he couldn't leave until he had done so.

He looked up as he heard the chime of the bell on the counter, he left his desk and hobbled out into the front room, the man was standing at the counter, and he looked deathly ill and very novice. “What can I help you with? There are many things around the shop that I can easily explain, if you would like, and I will sell just about anything for the right price.” His eyes were very familiar, something he had seen a very long time ago, but did not want to place it together with that, over three hundred years, it was impossible.

“Make any offer you wish and I will happily bargained for the price.” He watched the man’s posture with suspicion. He could not tell what this man was thinking, or if he was thinking to steal any of his merchandise, though most of it was stolen goods from a land long forgotten and only recently remembered. He was even here a powerful person that no one besides Snow and Charming, and their family would ever question the power of. Emma was powerful, but she owed him debts. He watched as the man stood there and listened he waited patiently for a response.

Cora listened to the explanation curiously. For the sake of appearances she took Kyla's hand in hers her face transformed into a sweet expression. Every so often she would ask about a building or who someone was. As they walked towards the harbor she noticed a woman carrying a little metal bucket. Every so often she would flinch and give the shadows a wide berth. Their eyes met for a fleeting moment and she saw something... raw inside her.

"Who is that?" she asked turning her wide innocent eyes up towards Kyla. To the untrained eye Cora was the epitome of a sweet little girl. What little girl wouldn't be curious about a stranger?

"Your eyes can be so cruel, just as I can be so cruel...."

.......¬ J A R E T H ⌐

location: Granny's Diner
company: no one of any importance (aka: no one he knows)
form: human
mood: irked
thoughts: "Where has that insufferable girl gone? And why can't I find her?"

Aggravated. There were precious little times when the Goblin King showed his true emotions, but after both figuratively and...well actually literally tearing apart Sarah's room...then her house...then her car, and finally her place of employment looking for her, Jareth was safe to say: not happy. She had just up and vanished! Now how could she have done that? She was a powerful summoner, yes, and she had been granted access to his heart, the path-maker for the entire Labyrinth. But even that couldn't just shield her from him. She may have conquered his heart, but he was still the master when it came to magic. Sarah had scarcely begun to learn how to use the gifts he'd granted her.

There was no way she could have simply disappeared on her own like this. Something was hiding her...or someone. His mind instantly drifted to Mizumi. The treacherous water-witch! She'd answer for her attack on the Goblin Queen surely! He would march straight to the kingdom of Morraine, break down her doors, and demand his reluctant wife back! Then again....that probably wasn't the best course of action. He would be on her grounds, and without leverage. She didn't have her bratty daughters, Moulin or Drumlin, any longer so a potential bargaining chip was out the window. Perhaps he'd just suspend Esker by an ankle over the bog and threaten to drop him if Mizumi didn't return her? Yes it seemed like a good plan, until he realized that the Queen of Cups probably in all honesty could care less what happened to her puppet mercenary. He was out of options. That is, until he heard her voice!

His pointed ears caught the faintest glimmer of her summoning magic hanging in the air and Jareth smirked. Ah...there was his favorite challenge now! But...not where he expected. She was far away. Very far away! A brow rose, and Jareth threw his cape up over himself, melting into the shadows of her office. Thankfully, no one was around during the lunch break to witness him trashing the room in his search. Reappearing across the road from a quaint little diner, his gaze fell upon the patrons inside and he instantly snapped his fingers, his lavish dark-ages style wardrobe warping with a puff of glitter and bluish black smoke. Left dressed in a smart scarlet suit, (so impossibly deep red it was almost black) and a gold cravat, he inspected himself in a nearby shop window. Hm...the hair was abit outlandish for this place. For his home, it was perhaps the most popular style, set in trend due in part to his own tastes, but here? He would need to tone it down abit. Reaching up and running a gloved hand over his wild blonde mane, it too restyled itself, slicking back and tying itself into a neat, well-kempt ponytail. Like Hell he was actually going to trim it, and good luck getting near him with a pair of scissors. The last goblin who tried wound up being dropped into the water-witch's lap right as she was enjoying her evening tea. What happened to him from there, he wasn't quite sure. Did he make it back to the kingdom? Jareth would make it a point to check later. Giving himself a once over before adjusting his cravat, he checked to make sure no one was looking before summoning himself an elaborate cane, topped with a palm-fitted crystal ball. Yes. Yes this would do just nicely!

Satisfied with his work, he turned and headed closer to Granny's Diner. Stealing a glance at the town hall, he paid special mind to the sign.
"...Storybrooke? Seriously? How delightfully unimaginative and obvious. Of all places, Sarah, really?" Talking more to himself than anyone else in particular, he sighed..and then her voice faded from his ear. She stopped summoning. Damn! Clutching his cane, he glowered. Would he have to tear apart the town to find her just like he'd upended her own home life? Crossing the street, he meandered into the diner and made his way towards the counter. Her voice may have faded, but this was definitely where she was! Here in 'Storybrooke'. But why? He'd make it a point to ask her about her abrupt travel plans and utter lack of notice to him about them. Not that he expected her to check in with him about everything like a child at this point, but for yetis' sake, some common courtesy would have been nice!

Taking a seat, he waited patiently. May as well grab a bite to eat. There was no sense in turning an entire town upside down on a empty stomach now, was there? Grabbing a menu, he scanned it over. Oh yes. Perfect. He settled on a plate of warm peach cobbler and a tall cold glass of milk. Sarah could wait. Lunch, could not. Jareth typically was NOT an agreeable chap when hungry.

If either of you cared about me, you would have listened...

It didn't dawn on her that Hercules might not have any of the ingredients she needed until she was nearly to his home. She laughed at her own folly before heading back into town. Perhaps Granny could spare a few ingredients. She made a mental note to pay for everything she would 'borrow'.

As Belle wandered back towards the diner she wondered if this would be her life now. What happened to the wildly independent girl, who had wanted to see the world? Had she not faced down the fearsome Yaoguai? Her lips twitched in a bittersweet smile. It was ironic that the one monster who had destroyed her did not clothe himself in claws and fire. Then again, the most dangerous monsters often hid themselves themselves behind pretty faces and cold smiles.

Her gaze wandered over to a man sitting in a booth. He had the most peculiar eyes...

Her own gaze flickered from azure to a paler almost inhuman ice-blue and back again. Isabelle knew this man.

Belle blinked and averted her eyes. Something about him was dangerous. He had the same presence as Rumpelstiltskin, like that of a dragon in the form of a man. Soft echoes and words she couldn't quite make out filled her mind. Isabelle was excited as she spoke of dreams, memories, or perhaps just madness... It was getting too difficult to fence her in and soon Belle feared she wouldn't be able to harness the will to subdue her. Perhaps cutting off Isabelle had not been the wisest of choices...

Jareth... Isabelle's voice tittered within her mind. I see yo~ou...

Regina Mills
This is my happy ending...

User Image
Regina usually took it upon herself to know exactly who came and went in her town. She still viewed it as her town though she'd been apparently dethroned by Snow and Charming who were making it quite clear that they intended to make Storybrooke their happy little kingdom again. She was trying not to mind that but turning over a new leaf was harder than expected, especially with the threat of her mother in the air. She had tentative allies but not many solid ones anymore. That would need correcting. Henry connecting her to the royal family would only last for as long as Emma agreed it was alright.

"You're new here."

She sat next to Jareth and studied him. There was a glimmer of power behind her authoritative tone but just a hint. She wasn't using magic these days if she could help it. She promised and more than anything else she wanted her son back, for real this time by his own choice. She was beginning to learn power could not lure someone to stay unless they wanted to. But, that hardly had anything to do with this particular meeting.

"I'm Regina Mills. I'm the Mayor of Storybrooke. I usually make it my business to know who comes and goes."

In bigger cities that would be an impossible task but here in their own haven they were small and easy to pinpoint. She didn't mind the effort, anyway. More people of power were flocking to the city all the time and if there was an ally to make she intended to. Her enemies were numerous and Regina had no plans to surrender to anyone.
