CastlevaniaGirl I'm glad that there's going to be a Castlevania movie but I'd rather see konami producing it instead. And will this movie stick to the Castlevania storyline? I wonder if Alucard will make an appearance. hehehehe I'm an alucard fangirl. 4laugh Who knows, the movie may turn out to be good. As long as it isn't cheaply made. Alucard is the best! they better make him show up!

Sin Daemon Honestly, doing a starting Castlevania movie with anyone other than Simon is kinda a waste, since if you're not an avid CV fan, you most likely aren't going to recognize any other Belmont name other than Simon. From what I've heard, this movie is supposed to delve into the "beginnings" of Dracula, then go on to feature the Belmont's. Of course, whether this is Paul Anderson's take on how Dracula came to be in the series, or an interpretation in the same vein IGA meant it to flow into....is anyone's guess. I stand by my statement that Castlevania should never be made a life-action movie. Ever. It'd get raped. Although Richter and Alucard are very widely known as well... except thats nowhere near the beginning of castlevania so i will probaly be dissapointed. But i agree, if its not Alucard or Richter it should be Simon, or maybe even Trevor.

Shi_Yatsu Beginnings or not, with Anderson's level of knowledge on past story lines, it could end up any which way. He may make up a whole new character to battle Dracula! Can you imagine it? Tom Cruise as, Jimmy Balmunt (mispelled on purpose). How did you make that whip Jimmy? "Scientology!" And yeah, alot of games don't belong in the live action world. At least you know movies like RE and SH were based on somewhat realistic depictions of people and stuff. For things like CV and Mario Brothers we can only look foward to disaster. OMG!!!! that is so funny!!! and the scary thing is it would happen too, but i think if they did Richter than tom cruise wouldnt be that bad

Byakuya Truelight so, who thinks there should be a belnades in it? smile and alucard too. on an unrelated side note ive always thought that the belnades could be descended from rinaldo gandolfi.. i mean sypha appeared about 400 yrs later so the name couldve changed... both magic users.... anyway rolleyes what was i saying? oh yes, it needs a belnades and alucard in it. yes!!1 alucard!!1

If you think the movie is going to be just like the series, then I suggest not seeing it because you'll most likely be disappointed. And for the record....if he puts Milla is any kind of main character role whatsoever, you will be reading Anderson's obituaries in the paper the day after.

Chris8904 Why don't they be smart and just make a Animated CV movie that would fit the series more rather than a live action movie. Animated might take longer but hey it would be pretty awsome and wouldnt require actor - character look alikes. All they would have to do is draw it up and find some good voice actors. Japanese voice actors would be better i'd rather read subs then listen to a shitty renditioned DUB!! evil That is true. Since they might not be able to get the right person who looks like the character. Also they can do more things like fly and it won't look fake or lame if it is animated.

Eh, I am not surprised by this at all, the movie going to be crap. I agree that there are so many ways to screw this up that this will just become trashy no matter if you were going to put an a list director and an a list cast together...
As far as the "beginnings of Dracula", they aren't referring to L.O.I. and even I knew that. Before LOI was released, it was always that Sonia was the beginning of the series. That was why everyone was so geeked about the Dreamcast version of a new Castlevania that would be a "time traveling" piece. SO GLAD that didn't come out.
They always wanted to explore more with Sonia and I don't think a game was going to do it. This is now their way of tying up this loose end of a character and moving on, though I can say that I hoped it was either Castlevania 1999 where Dracula finally dies or some sort of 1944 Castlevania nazi movie, cause, really... What movie/game can't stand more zombie nazis? Just look at PoR...
