Kiyo sat in the center of a dusty tournament ring. He was experimenting again, passing the time until the new recruit showed up. This time he was toying with static electricity. Telling electrons to stay still wasn't exactly his idea of 'easy'. Loose dust attracted themselves to Kiyo's hand and a bright, brief shock flashed. The dust fell to the ground and he gave up. "Whatever, it's time for the boy's first training lesson."

Yoji entered the dusty tournament ring where his instructor will give his first lesson. He saw a flash of light mixed with dust as he entered the ring. He then approached the man in the center of the room. "Are you the Thunder Master Kiyo?" he said while waiving off the dust that scattered when the dust hit the ground.

He stood up, dusting himself off. "Yup, that's me. And should you be the new recuit? Yoshi? Wasn't it?" He grinned at the new member.

Kiyo finished knocking the dust off of him, he grinned. "First, we have to see where you stand before that happens. So let's see if you can create and hold a charge for starters. Do as I do." He held out his hand and concentrated on the surrounding electrons, little pinpricks of light centered into the palm of his hand. After a second, his hand began to spark as it contained the charge.

He nods approvingly, "Good, charging is probably one of the most important skills you'll be using in just about all of your battles. Charging will allow you to focus your electric powers for attacks, defenses, and evasion. Speaking of which, try charging your feet and legs as well."
