David nodded, simply turning and walking back towards the village at that point. It was hard to believe so much time had been wasted keeping that bear of his together with the group, and now it was for nothing. He had caught something in the girl's voice that was fairly clear, she didn't like Suna much. Probably the heat, not many places were as consistently hot as Suna.

Murasaki sighed, and she held up Gensai, and patted her upper leg, and looked at Kami.
"Kami-sempai, come! Gensai-sama is not feeling good." Murasaki simply put, as Kami started to follow her. Though, Kami probably wouldn't be allowed in the hospital, but they probably have a cool spot to keep him at. But until then, Murasaki herself would lend a hand at the hospital, until she had proper training for medical jutsu... It's not like they would help her anyways... though these were the times she wish she was capable.

The moon was in full bloom as the wind howled throughout the Merchants Road, connector to the Wind Country. The night was cool, unlike the hot scorching days spent in the dessert. Alas, such was the life of those who lived in this harsh land. It was here that a simple passerby made his way through the road. The man held his cloack tightly around him, shrouding his entire being within its warm and dark embrace. This man was a simple traveler, heading towards the Hidden Sand Village. The Sand Village has had a terrible history full of betrayal, death and of course the journey to power. Founded by a Kage with immense power, this man brought all the desert dwelling shinobis together under a single banner. One of the things that should be noted about Sunagakure is that while Konoha had their famous taijutsu specialist, Kirigakure was known for its hunter nin assassins and swordsman, Iwagakure was known for their powerful earth specialist, and Kumogakure was known for its powerful Lightning manipulators, Sunagakure was known for housing a group of elite ninja known as the Puppet Brigade. These shinobi were feared in the Second and even the Third Shinobi War.

This man's intentions were of course unknown. He could be a shinobi of the village returning from his mission, a simple peddler attempting to market some of his wares and start a bussiness, a messanger from a foreign village, or he had other foreboding bussiness there. Whatever the reason, the man did not stop, not once from his journey. Even after traveling from faraway lands, he felt no fatigue. He suddenly stopped for the first time however, his head moving slightly to the right. It would seem he would have to make a single stop before he made his journey to Sunagakure. It wouldn't take him long though. It was actually necessary for him to make this one stop, otherwise how would he even be able to get inside the village. Adjusting the cloack that wrapped around him, the man turned right and went off the main road, heading East towards the Oasis.

Her hands still stung. Despite the buildings and the palm trees that swayed in the desert wind, blocking out most of the sand that swirled and swished through the dry hot air. But it felt as if she washed her arms in smoldering sand. Damn him she silently cursed. The Jounin hugged her bandaged arms to her chest and continued onward. She needed to know. She needed to get to Kiri.

By this time she had lost track of her other teammates. But she wasn’t worried. Besides the medic, they were all capable of surviving on their own. And the destination was the same, they would arrive there. She realized she should have been a little bit more concerned, but the girl had always worked alone. Even when her sister was still alive, Etsushi was always running off on her own. She never worked well in groups; and so the natural tendency to care for her comrades was obsolete. The fact that ninja were suppose to stick together in groups, never registered in her head. Besides Kay, whom she felt an inkling of care for, she didn’t like Aeden or Sora. She was grateful to Aeden for saving her life, and knew that she owed him. And she would fulfill her debt. She hated being in debt to someone. It meant that they had something they could hold over her head. And while subconsciously she knew that Aeden would probably never do that, the threat was still there.

After a quick rest under the shade of a palm tree, the Jounin continued her journey.

~

It was morning on the next day before the slow moving wagon finally hit sand. Yasashii's clone kept the wagon moving the whole time, stopping only to rest the horse. Yasashii himself, slept the whole day and night, exhausted from his fight with the man who never seemed to die. he finally awoke to the heat of the desert sun on his exposed neck, and sat up. Yawning and stretching, the man reached into one of the sacks in the wagon, pulling out an apple and climbing up to the seat beside his clone. The clone nodded to him in recognition of his presence, but they both remained silent. The clone watching the road, and Yasashii eating his apple and pondering recent events. As hateful as the man he'd met yesterday was, he learned a lot from the encounter. Things he wanted to remember. And so, once his apple was finished, he grabbed his journal from the sack at his feet and began to write. The clone, still not yet knowing of what had happened the day before, kept one eye on it's master's pen the whole time. It would do well to learn whatever Yasashii knew.

After about an hour of writing in his journal, Yasashii's pen stopped dead. His fight wasn't the only thing to happen yesterday, and it certainly wasn't the most important. His journey of peace, had become a migration. It was a brand new world, and he probably wasn't ready for it. His skills put him well ahead of the pack as a ninja, and he wasn't that bad as a civilian either, but which niche should he take? The other villages weren't like Oto. You couldn't be a secret ninja, unless perhaps you were ANBU. And who would accept a complete stranger into their village as ANBU? No, his life was going to change. He would either have to take on the full title of a ninja, or abandon it, at least in the public eye. Being a mercenary might not be so bad.

Looking over at his clone, A smirk rolled across his face. It wouldn't be a bad idea to keep his options open either.

Setting his pen aside for the moment, Yasashii flipped back through his journal to some notes he had made before leaving home. A seal he'd intended to develop to go with his latest array. Finding the seal, he skimmed through it several times, getting it fixed back into his mind. Once he felt he had it memorized again, he set about making alterations to the design, madly scribbling theories and calculations until finally, he thought he had it ready. [1]

Next came the practice tests. Grabbing a sheet of sealing notes from his bag, Yasashii broke them down into multiple smaller pieces, the right size for this seal. Then came the scribbling again, this time trying to turn the theories into a working array. It was easy enough to make a working one quickly, but it was far far too big, and would never fit on the size paper he wanted it to. No, it needed to be almost unnoticeable it was so small. [2]

It took another several hours of trying before the man finally settled on a design he felt to be the right size, and it had even required reworking the theories themselves a little bit to remove some unnecessary bits from the whole. But, it was complete. It was still obviously a seal, but he could come up with a way to disguise it later. That wasn't the biggest issue. The only issue to worry about now was making it small, and making it work. Anything else could be worked out with time. [3]

While Yasashii was working on the seal's design itself, the clone picked up his notebook and skimmed it over to find out what the man was up to. As he recognized the intent, he nodded, somewhat understanding now what was going on. So, it came as no surprise to him when, after pasting the seal to himself for a few seconds, Yasashii handed it to the clone. Taking the slip of paper, he stuck it to himself in the same way Yasashii had, on the back of his neck, and poured a tiny bit of his chakra into it. And, nothing happened. [4]

Taking the seal off, the clone frowned, shaking his head and looking the seal over for himself. Yasashii, rather than immediately starting on the next design, paused, waiting for the clone's judgment. After all, it was his mind in a different body and with different eyes. After a few seconds, the clone picked up the pen and made a few marks on the slip and handed it back to Yasa to look over. [5]

Checking the edits that had been made, Yasashii smiled, pulling out a new slip and starting to redraw the seal. The clone had spotted a couple of choke points where the chakra wasn't able to flow properly. Fixing those would improve the flow exponentially, allowing better transfer. However, those wouldn't have caused the initial problem of it just plain not working. [6]

A few minutes of pondering the seal sitting before him, And Yasashii finally realized what was missing. The seal needed a conversion center in order to convert the information from one person to another. Just as everyone's mind works differently, their brains respond differently to stimuli, and the needed needed to be able to make up for that. [7]

Picking up his pen again, Yasashii tried sketching the part that was needed into the existing array, but frowned as it made it once again too large for the slip of paper. He would need to reduce the size again after all. Not just of the old bits, but this new piece as well. Sighing in frustration, he picked up another slip and started sketching out the new array. [8]

After another hour, Yasashii finally finished getting everything just how he wanted it. The seal was small enough to fit the paper, and in fact even smaller than he had planned, after he found some more useless bits that could be tossed out. he wouldn't try disguising it yet, not until he was sure it would work, but after looking it over thrice, he couldn't see anything left to change. It would either work now, or he would have to go back to the theory book. [9]

Taking the seal, Yasashii placed it on his neck once more and charged it with chakra, letting the chakra flow into his mind and out again, back into the seal until it was fully charged. And then, he peeled it off, and handed it over to his clone. The clone did the same, placing the seal on his neck and charging it up. The difference was, as the chakra entered his mind, flashes of information came with it. A sword, children, a battle, and a man who couldn't die. After only a few seconds he had all the information of Yasashii's battle the day before stored in his memories.

Peeling the seal off and looking at Yasashii, the clone frowned. "You really shouldn't get into fights like that." He scolded lightly. Yasashii just smiled.

It only took Yasashii's clone mere minutes to make the run back out of the Sunagakure crevice and onto the great road, as compared to the hour or so it had taken in the cart. Riding a cart was relaxing and convenient, but it was nothing in comparison to the speed of a trained ninja. A smirk ran across the man's face, visible even through his mask, if anyone were around to see it, as he decided to make this trip even faster. Slowly, just as had happened the day before for his master, liquid lightning began to roll out of first his eyes, then his fingertips, and spreading across his body as his speed increased, trailing lightning behind him, until finally, he was lightning. A pure streak of light cutting across the open desert in the direction of the fire country, leaving only burnt sand in his wake.

The terrain had slowly changed from the wet and rocky outcroppings of the Rain Country to sparse collections of bushes in humid climates to a much more arid, but at least shrub covered lands. Making his way across the sparsely populated Borderlands between Earth and Wind, Shinji began to relax a bit, slowing his pace down after having run for so many hours straight. On the horizon, the unforgiving path of the Desert was ahead of him and the beginning of the Merchant Road wouldn't be far off. Slowing down to a walk, Shinji's pulse slowed, but he showed signs of tiredness with heavy breathing and somewhat sluggish movements forward before he finally stopped, surveying the distance in front of him.

"Almost there...", he thought to himself as he looked over the landscape, "One more night's rest and then it's just a journey across the desert to Sunagakure. best to rest here though, it will be warmer on a whole then sleeping in the desert sands." Feeling a brisk wind from the south, Shinji held up his cloak to protect his head from the grains of sand and debris which blew along with it, but was then suddenly assaulted by pain. Turning around as if to check to make sure he wasn't being stabbed in the back, Shinji cringed at the pain radiating throughout his body intensified and grew. Gritting his teeth, Shinji clenched his fist and flexed as many muscles as he good to brace against the pain of his own chakra lashing out at his body as he waited for the flare up to pass, which it did eventually.

His faculties his own once again, Shinji looked to the left and right, but saw no signs of shelter for the night in the vast open shrub lands which marked what would soon become the arid desert of the Wind Country. Noting that sleeping out in the open would be more annoying then it was dangerous, Shinji smirked to himself smuggly before gathering a bunch of firewood from the dried out plants around him and arranged them to create a small campsite for himself. Then, for the next few minutes, Shinji went to work, using his ninjutsu to create an enclosure for himself to spend the night in. Using the 'Ohitsuji Kashira' technique, Shinji created a series of domed walls around himself and his campsite which would act as a primitive shelter, which at the very least would shield him from the wind and the sand blasts that came with it.

With about five of the Ram's head structures set up around him, Shinji finally sat down to meditate and within an hour had finally reached a peaceful state as the blood red chakra aura engulfed him again, healing his body of all it's weariness and freeing him from the pain of his bloodline if only for a short while as he dreamed..

His mind awakening to the harsh reality of pain that was his life, Shinji mustered the energy to open his eyes and found himself none the worse for wear inside of his makeshift shelter. Pleased with himself in so much that the shelter had done it's job, Shinji dismissed the techniques, allowing the Ram's heads to crumble to the ground as he stretched and re-arranged his possessions in preparation for the remainder of his trip. Cricking his neck back and forth a few times, Shinji finished his preparations by slinging his pack over his shoulder, attaching his custom shuriken to his hip and attaching his sword to the holster on his back. Sighing deeply in the wake of a sudden pain spike that came over him, Shinji looked to the horizon and then kicked off from his spot, launching himself forward into a full run down the merchant road toward the Sunagakure.

Traveling on the road, Shinji found that there was surprisingly little traffic congesting his approach and so he stuck to the road for easier travel and eventually was able to see the legendary Sungakure village from a distance. "Well, there it is... Sunagakure. Remember Shinji, never forget who you are. You're a Konaga and a member of the Iwagakure. It doesn't matter if the village no longer exists as it did before. You made a promise to the Earth Country long ago that you would grow strong and protect it... this is just another step in that direction of growth. This is not your new home. Do not lose yourself. Serve as you would the Iwagakure, but remain who you are in all aspects. They have everything to gain from your assistance, you're a valuable asset, but you can't compromise who you are or your purpose in life."

Hardening his resolutions on how he would react once he got to the city, Shinji found himself closer and closer to his destination. The road was now a true desert, the sun beating down on him in the hot afternoon and sand and grit flew around with the wind, though to a Konaga the entire circumstance could barely be felt through the numbing affect of his bloodline. after several hours of travel, the village's entrance was finally in sight... a massive tiered structure guarding a tiny gorge of sorts, a path not more then 10 feet wide with 50 foot tall, or higher cliffs on either side. Thinking of the challenges that lay inside, Shinji grinned and slowed down his pace so he could approach without invoking any nervousness on the part of the guards. As he walked however, he did so with confidence and determination, his Iwagakure headband hanging around his neck proudly as it glinted in the sun upon his approach.

Oniwa Kye
| Satetsu | Speed/Combo | Otogakure | Kage |
|| Shinobi Profession: Taijutsu Specialist || RPC Profile ||

Kye had made great progress on her journey to the Sunagakure by now and showed no signs of tiring in her travels. Having been conditioned far beyond the levels that others had been, even other ninja, Kye was especially hardy, not only in battle strength, but in general endurance as well, enabling her to travel well with little rest required, if any at all. Having reached the end of the Life Road some time ago, Kye had seen the gradual change from the Land of Earth to the Land of Wind and could see the area beginning to turn into a desert. The dunes of the vast desert stretching across the landscape towards the Sunagakure were in sight and soon, they would be her reality.

Now on the Merchant Road, Kye expected to see many travelers and if her journey on the Life Road had been any indication, a chance for robbers and thieves as well. A common nuisance, Kye found herself targeted fairly commonly, likely due to the fact that she traveled alone and kept a low profile, making her a seemingly ideal target for roadside vagabonds. Just as Kye found herself thinking this, she heard a sudden scream as a young girl came into her view, running for her life from a pair of thugs which seemed intent on catching her. Within a minute or two, the young girl had reached Kye, and having nowhere else to go, hid behind her and clutched at her robe... "PLEASE! Help me!"

Tears streaming down the girl's face, Kye looked at her, but said nothing as the thugs began to close on them. Feeling the girl's hands move to re-attach their grip, Kye thought the situation somewhat weird and wondered what a small child was doing so far away from civilization, and also wondered how she had managed to outrun two thieves when all she could see around her was open road. Still, Kye set such details aside and stood waiting for the men, which approached quickly, each one armed with various weapons, though neither of them wielding one at the moment. "Stay back" Kye said calmly to the girl as she pushed her away, but the small child remained clutched at her side, unwilling to let go.

As the men got closer, one yelled out gruffly, "Out of the way lady! That girl is coming with us!" Not waiting for a response, the faster of the two bandits charged forward, bearing a large fist as he threw a bunch directly at Kye's midsection. Not even bothering to blink, Kye stood still and allowed the attack to hit. To the bandit's surprise however, his fist was halted by something that was more like a brick wall then human flesh. His fist's forward momentum ceased immediately, his look of utter surprise freezing him, making him forget the extreme amount of pain coursing through his fist.

"Oh no... bandits... please... someone help." Kye's tone was dry and obviously sarcastic as she mocked the man openly at the ineffectiveness of his attack. Not bothering to waste any more time with the man, Kye followed her comment up almost immediately with a weighty punch, projected down across the man's face, dropping him to the ground instantly. Laid out cold by a single punch, the man was quite honestly lucky to be alive... and the monstrous strength and endurance displayed against his cohort made the second bandit stop in his place, seemingly unsure of what he would do next.

What came next however was of great surprise as Kye suddenly felt two sources of metal lifted off of her person by the young girl behind her. Jumping up from the ground to an impressive height, the young girl held two kunai, one in each hand and was aiming them down at Kye in an attempt to dig both kunai into her neck. Just as the kunai began to descend however, the girl's momentum was suddenly halted as the metal she was holding onto seemed to freeze in the air, leaving her hanging onto the handles of the kunai, suspended several feet above the ground. "So you're part of the act huh?... Impressive that you got a hold of my kunai... I'm sure you're much more used to grabbing pouches of gold though. Sad that you chose such a line of work for yourself. There is so much more for life to offer, even in times such as these."

Allowing the young girl to hang from her kunai, Kye moved so quickly towards the other bandit he couldn't possibly have dodged the attack which buried Kye's arm in the man's gut, toppling him over to the ground as quickly as the other had fallen. Leaving the girl to hang in the air, Kye removed 100 gold pieces from her pouch and laid them down on the bandits. "You don't deserve this little girl, but then again, I don't deserve anything I have either. Thievery will never satisfy you and doesn't sustain itself. Use the gold to find a new path in life. Any of the great villages would likely take you in as a citizen if you're willing to work. Just remember, I could have easily killed you and there is no guarantee the next person in line won't... so think long and hard about what you do from here on out."

Turning her back to the young girl, using her Jiton ability, Kye forcefully removed her kunai from the girl's hands and heard her fall to the ground behind her. Whether or not the young girl would heed her words, it wasn't Kye's job to decide her fate. She'd have to make her own decisions in life... and hopefully from here on out, they'd be better decisions then they had been so far. Leaving her to decide her own fate, Kye continued forward into the desert on her way to the Sunagakure.

(Enter from merchant's road [land of fire])

The hot sun bore down on yamatano as he trekked through the desert, completely unused to such an arid climate. In kirigakure, the mist was a comforting and welcome reminder that water was always present and nearby. Yamatano wondered who in there ring mind would live, let alone build a nation with a shinoni village, in a place where water seemed to be a foreign substance. As much as he wanted to hurry along and get this leg of his journey done with, yamatano's strength was sapped by the some, an entity he now considered an evil fire jutsu that he would one day put out. Or maybe the heat was just making him delusional. In either case, yamatano cursed the sun, and scanned the horizon as he trudged along.

" Ugh... " Laxus said, his shoulders slumped forward and his neck craned toward the ground. His hair was wet, and he was visibly stumbling. " I can't believe they didn't have any stones... I lost mine in that stupid explosion... " He said sighing. " Hey Sora, do you have any of that candy left? " Laxus asked, completely unaware that she was basically stuffed with the candy. It was a real possibility she had lost the bag in the explosion, but something told Laxus she would have searched for it if she had lost it.

Laxus raised his head and turned his face to Kensei, who looked fairly peppy still. Taijutsu users were more fit than Laxus would probably ever be... He'd have to learn a taijutsu style just to keep up. "Oi! Kensei, how much further until we reach the Mountains? " He asked, knowing full well Kensei's guess was about as good as his, since this was the first time either of them had made the trek back. Maybe Kensei remembered a bit of the pathway, and would remember where they were at. Then again... they were in the middle of a desert, that the dunes moved probably constantly.

Laxus perked up nearly instantly when a thought hit him. Taking out a kunai, he spun it on his finger, angling to toward his face. He rotated it round and round, faster and faster... He'd done it! He made a fan out of a kunai and his finger. It was going to start hurting after a while, but until then it would be amazing.

[Sorry busy with work and xbox]
Kensei just shrugged after Laxus asked him how much further. "We could make it out of the desert in a couple of hours if we can keep this pace up." He said with a smile on his face. "Honestly I'm just happy to be out of there." Kensei stretched and placed his hands behind his head while walking in a relaxed manner. He looked down at Sora and back at Laxus before sighing. "So what do you guys plan on doing when we get back home?" Kensei asked to try and make conversation.
