Mark took a step forward and shoved the butt of the gun towards the girl's head hard. "I did." He tried forcing any worries about causing permanent damage to the girl aside, else he risk not hitting hard enough. If he missed, he'd be in a bad situation unless the swing screwed up her balance, or it hit something else. If he hit dead on, and she did fall, he'd have to call for help on the radio.

I believe in you...I'll give up everything just to find you. To live, to breathe, you're taking over me...

“Just be careful…” Bori found herself murmuring as she moved across the shadows, slowly, and then froze when Adon’s attention turned to her. Looking into his eyes she saw nothing. Is that how I look I wonder… She thought vaguely and shook her head. But she remained still, her good eye locked onto to his every move, and Bori could see he was an animal ready to pounce should to have moved even an inch to run or keep approaching. And then the other female called out to him. She stole a glance at her but that was a mistake. Bori heard Adon’s shriek and when she returned her gaze to him there was her own invisible firing squad, so to speak, in front of her. It took a lot of will power to keep her heart rate from speeding up from its normal pace in the face of something like this.

They too, like Adon was a moment again, were poised to take down the shadow-mancer. There was a slim chance Bori could erect a shadow barrier but she was unsure of whether or not it would be enough to stop a speeding bullet. Especially when these powers were still all new to Bori. And then there was the other girl that Adon was now trying to attack. In a split second though she heard the sounds of many triggers being pulled, bullets leaving the barrel, and whizzing through the air in what seemed like slow motioned in her eye. Bori didn’t even have time to react; her eyes grew unnaturally large and her breath caught in her throat. It shouldn’t have surprised her that Adon would kill her without a second thought, and yet it did…just a little bit. No..this can not be the end… She thought as the bullets grew closer. And then just sort of stopped there.

Abba’s voice rang out and a short-lived relief washed over Bori before she carefully stepped out around the bullets. And briefly studied them, fascinated by the way her almost death hovered there before her. She only took a second though to look at this when an idea flitted across her thoughts. While Abba’s attention was elsewhere Bori managed to darken the room, not as thick as before in the rec room, but enough to where you couldn’t see great detail. Just the outlines of things. And she allowed herself to ‘disappear’ into the abyss of shadows along the wall. While in the place where she had stood in the path of the bullets Bori formed a shadow copy of herself. This gave her the chance to slowly, cautiously, approach Abba. Keeping the shadows around herself denser to remain hidden from view. And this would give the other girl time to escape as well.

Shoden

Shoden pondered for a second "Which situation looks like it needs me the most?" He made sure he was quiet enough not to be heard as he wondered through the shadowy, cold steel, labyrinth.

Nate shook his head. "I can't!" he said looking at some guards coming in. Nate looked at the lights above and held his hand up. He forced his hand down and streams of electricity attacked the guards. "Just Get Up!" Nate said trying to pull the guy up from his arms. "What's wrong?"

Shuchuru had been holding up fair enough, though how she didn't know. If she hadn't been using her power, she probably would have been in ribbons. Then Bori darkened the room, giving Shuchuru the perfect cover. She disappeared from where she was before, heading to Adon's other side. "Sorry... but leaving people behind isn't in my nature... We've all been through much of the same.... and I told myself if I had the chance, I wouldn't be leaving alone.... And guess what, I got the chance." Shuchuru paused for a moment and sighed.
"Ne, shadow-mancer, we should probably hurry this up.... I think we all agree that more guards are not good for the situation at the moment...." She listened for a moment, hearing nothing. They may not be here now... but they will eventually....

"I think the fairy can manage well enough on her own..." Ulrich grimaced as the camera showed the little fairy almost get pummelled a few times. "I think."

"I suggest going for whatever of the following you find first: The two boys outside the stairs that are being beset by guards or the Elevator crew that seem to be having some internal disputes... For the record, there are three Altered at the elevators, and one seems to be ********. You'll know it when you see it, trust me."

Ulrich shook his head, now watching the three near the elevator fight amongst themselves. The third, the monstrous-looking one, seemed to be having some internal conflicts of his/her own, since he/she didn't kill the girls when there was a perfect opportunity.

Without missing a beat, Mark dropped his gun and kicked it several feet away. Without making a sound, he quickly turned to the problem at hand. He twisted his hand in an attempt to grab her hand right back, then bend her fingers back. At the same time, he shoved forward, then jerked back. Doubting she would loose her grip so easily, Mark kept his grip, took a step forward, and crouched. From there, he used the ground to force himself upward, while forcing his free hand up towards the girl's stretched elbow, fully intending to break her arm.
After that he planned to use the upward force, along with his two-handed grip on her arm to turn away from her and throw her over him and to the ground. Followed by Mark quickly backpedaling towards his rifle while drawing his small pistol. He had been surprise that he didn't transform instantly, but that instantly disappeared, he wanted to... no, he had to end this quickly with as little damage to either of them as possible.

Lucid remained silent as she watched the girl's hands flutter around her, she remained absolutely still. When the girl reached to touched her uninjured arm she flinched back a little, her wide eyes widened more. Slowly she relaxed and let the girl touched her uninjured arm. When the girl spoke she listened and nodded her head once in a brief movement to show that she understood. "Doctor..." She murmured looking uneasy, gently she tilted her head and blinked. Looking down at her injured arm again the girl pulled out another shard of glass with a silent wince of pain. "Bad... doctor... hurt..." Lucid whispered softly, her expression looked confused and also frightened. After a moments hesitation she gingerly climbed onto the girl's back and clung on gently. "Lucid... no... like..." She managed to say quietly with a frown as she looked around the room. This had been the only time she had spoken so many words at once and tried stringing them into a sentence.

Gabe couldn't control the shaking. His eyes had rolled into the back of his head, but yet he still tried to communicate with the kid standing above him. There was no way he would be able to stay awake long enough to get himself out, and he definitely wouldn't be able to stand. But while he was shaking he reached out and grabbed the pants leg of the kid. He was beginning to slip into unconsciousness and he didn't know what he was trying to tell him. He wanted to get out so bad, and have the freedom he craved. But he would be risking this kid their freedom. He wanted them to get away.

Everything, for the past few months, everything has always gone according to how it always had been. Wake up, testing, back in cell, more testing, rec room, painful injections, sleep, wake up. That was how things had embedded themselves into Ani's mind. Right now, she was in her cell, trying to get some sleep, when suddenly, everything changed.

There were always screams and the sounds of struggling going through the Institute, but this was differant.. a loud, screeching noise, that seemed to drill itself into her brain. Ani came out of her stuper, looking up with those soft, reddish eyes of hers - eyes that had changed after they began to do the experiments. Changed, along with other things...

Then, all of a sudden, she placed the noise. It was like the fire alarms that sometimes went off if someone left a stove burning in the orphanage, or if the older kids pulled a prank. An alarm.. something was wrong.

Immediatly the usually passive girl was at the bars to her cell-door. The guards that usually watched over the pyromancer, with their childish water guns which really wouldn't have been able to do anything if Ani ever decided to start a -real- blaze were gone, and there were sounds of a scuffle from further down the hall, out of the girl's line of vision. Other prisoners were running by her, free.. Wait, free? Out of their cages?

Slowly, it began to dawn on her.

"Help... Help... Someone, let me out! I need to get out!" Her sobs echoed down the dingy halls, but nobody stopped in response to her pleas.

((Sorry about the delayed response... ^_^; ))

Abba clenched his hands closed slowly, but he didn't dare let his breath out, for he feared losing control. He saw the flickers of true darkness, begin to ebb the room into complete blackness. What was Bori doing? What part of "get out" didn't she understand. Abba almost wanted to scream in frustration, as the girl before him said something about not leaving behind people. I'm not a person, Abba wanted to shout, I'm a monster, I don't count! Abba's black skin paled to a sickly gray, he became somewhat of a beacon in the dark shadows. Adon's mindless scream of rage echoed in his head, louder and louder. It vibrated his teeth and shook his bones to the core. His hands were in fists already, but he forced them tighter, causing his claws to bit into his skin and dark, almost black blood sluggishly slipped from between his fingers and pattered onto the already blood strewn floor. "Should have... r-run, s-s-s-sorry, B-b-b-bori," Abba whispered quietly. Abba felt the tears welling in his eyes, the wet that suddenly touched them like a gulf.
Abba buckled.
Adon came raging back in, filling every nook and cranny with himself, shoving Abba back further than ever before. Abba slipped into the darkness, his weak and pathetic half, which couldn't even save someone he cared about. He refused to cry, but sorrow tore his heart into pieces. He didn't deserve to see the light of day every again.
Adon's hands opened almost immediately, he let a gurgled cry of triumph past his lips as he slumped forward, his eyes roving this new found darkness for some sort of movement. He saw none, but his nostrils flared and his earholes were attuned, searching for the sounds, he could taste that there were two people near him. More specifically two tearable bags filled with blood. He swept a hand out at Bori, aiming at her head. While he focused his telekinesis Shuchuru's way, sending a blast that would blow out the very doors of the institute, if it missed.

Bibi grimaced at the girl's reactions to things, she seemed very much like a child. Although Bibi hadn't come into contact with many that weren't... Disturbed by the Institute in the first place. "Oh don't worry, it'll be okay," Bibi promised, her voice slightly gruffer because of the bear's vocals. Bibi began to walk after the girl got on, Bibi tried to walk very steadily, she really didn't know who to take this girl to. She would just try to scare a doctor into helping. Bibi lumbered toward the elevator, she glanced up the empty shaft and sighed, how was she going to get up there with this girl holding on to her? "Oh! By the way, my name's Bibi! What's yours?" Bibi asked cheerfully as she thought. She glanced down the hallway to her left, maybe there were doctors down there, although it was eerily quiet on this floor. Bibi picked up her front right paw and hugged Berta to her chest gently. She was extra careful around her bear claws, she didn't want to cut Berta into pieces by accident; she was so fragile after all.

Never was, and never will be, have you no shame don’t you see me?

Yes more bodies were not needed right now; Shuchuru was right. And they needed to escape while they still could before the building was locked down. Time was of the essence right now and Abbadon was beginning to frustrate Bori that he was not cooperating. But else can we do? She thought as she crept silently closer to him in the darkness. He was struggling again, she could see, and she picked up her pace but remained as quiet as possible while he was distracted. Yes…Abba we will not leave you behind… Bori agreed inwardly without speaking; if she did it would give away her position in the darkness. She was so close to him now and if she got just a little bit closer she could touch him. And then Abba failed. His studdered words made the shadow-mancer tense up and she held her breath for a moment.

Adon’s return was filled with fury, like that of a caged wild animal, and she was unsure if her and this other woman could get him out. No not like this…Abba why could you not have held on longer? If Bori could have just touched him sooner, anchored him, gave him strength. Something. Anything. She was sure it could have helped. But now she was in avoidance of the blow that was coming her way. Ducking she darted off to the side, her eyes narrow, locked onto his hulking form in the darkness. A wild animal should be chained. She suddenly thought and moved back, focusing briefly on bringing the darkness to one specific place rather than the whole room. It gathered around Adon only, leaving the rest of the room as it was before. “Give him back, Adon…” Bori hissed and a strange, almost non-existent, rattling echoed in the shadows. And chains, made from the shadows, shot out around him in an attempt to snare his limbs. Bori could only hope now that they would hold.

Nate looked around and noticed a folded up wheelchair in a corner. He quickly took it a tried to pull it. After a few attempts, Nate finally opened the wheelchair and set it down. Nate grabbed the guy's arm and placed it on the arm rest, helping him into the chair.

Shuchuru ducked down, going flat as soon as he uttered an apology. The energy from Adon's telepathy slammed past her, knocking out the doors. I get the feeling... that that would have killed me for sure.... Shuchuru moved around silently, blending in with the color of the now drying blood. She ended up near Bori, quickly besoming three dimensional once she was. "Any ideas after he's been restrained....?" Shuchuru spoke softly, hoping that his hearing wasn't as good as his strength. I wonder... If maybe she can get close enough... It his more civilized alter ego will come out...?
