Wildfire nodded and stepped past D, purposefully clipping Anna with the outer edge of her wing. She did not like that fem, too much of a flirt to be any use as a soldier. "My companion will be along shortly. She's a bit of an odd one and not much use for too much except distractions."
Jin giggled and made her way through the halls, humming a quiet tune all the way.

Much like its owner and pilot, Arkus's ship was powered up and ready to launch, barely keeping from screeching out of the hangar right then and there by a small fraction of patience.
"Waiting on clearance, boys..."

Jin wandered into the hangar after several minutes and looked around. She spotted the ship Wildfire was hoping to hitch with, then looked across the bay to the scary man's ship.
Wildfire blinked for a moment, then sighed and rubbed her temples.
<.....Fine. Just don't get yourself killed.>
Jin giggled happily and got as close to Arkus's ship as she dared while it was running and attempted to project her thoughts in his general direction.

Arkus had his feet kicked up on the console, half-dozing. He opened his eyes and sighed, his annoyance creeping into his repsonse, which was a bit more forceful than was probably necessary.

Jin didn't seem to register the least bit of Arkus's annoyance, and her answer was far more perky than anyone Arkus had probably encountered recently.
all I'm good at, but I don't believe her.>

Arkus grinned slightly, though in amusement or something darker was hard to tell.

Jin blinked and tilted her head to the side.

In a very uncharacteristic move, Arkus slapped his forehead with the heel of his hand and sighed. He punched the hatch release.
He stood and stretched, fanning out his wings.
"Distractions", eh? Interesting...

Jin smiled sweetly and hurried on board, twitching her tails in general content. She made her way forward and poked her head in the cockpit.
"I promise I'll be good, mister scary man. And what do you mean by interesting?"

Arkus turned to regard her in the dim light thrown by the monitors of the cockpit, his wings shifitng. He crossed his arms and leaned against his chair.
"First of all, my name is Arkus. Use it or I dump you into a singularity." He grinned that oddly dark grin again.
"As for 'interesting'..." He shrugged in a noncommital manner.

Jin tilted her head to the side and blinked for a moment, then shrugged.
"Alright Arkus. And what's a singularity?"
Apparently she was a little spacey, too. Her tails never stopped moving, and now her fox ears were twitching slightly.

Arus rolled his eyes.
"A black hole." He watched her a moment, frowning.
"You are quite an oddity. If it weren't for a mild and passing bout of curiosity, you'd probably be vapor right now..."

Jin shrugged.
"Meh, I'm not all that odd. My sister's just as strange as I am. We're mutts, Nova wards really. Curiosity is fun, too. It gets you into all kinds of fun places. And why would I be a vapor?"
She blinked a bit, clearly confused by that statement.
