ooc: I know lol why I made Shortkit ask her what shes talking about.
Shortkit let out a furious hiss. How dare she think that. She was a normal cat, with a 'tail'! If she wasn't such a grumpy butt, maybe they would look at her different. But not him - no. His name was even 'Short' - just like his tail.

(( Rlly? Jeeze im such a loser! crying crying Well Sunkit is outside of camp now. So ethier way she knows I guess. Ashpelt went looking for her. And shes not grumpy, just emotional! Dx ))
Ashpelt sighed before glancing back at her son. "Stay here shortkit, and for the record, your name wasnt my idea. If you havnt notice, my tail is quiet short to. Not like yours but much shorter then the other warriors..." She said before leaving the den. She was right, her tail was slightly shorter. It was hard to tell when you werent looking at it directly but now it was easy to relize. "Sunkit!"
Sunkit heard her name be called but she didnt care, she slowed down and she smelt her fathers scent. He had to be up ahead.

Shortkit growled at his mother. Now he was alone in the nursery. Squeaking with irritation, he hooked the moss ball as hard as he could towards the entrance. It barley made a thud, as the kitten settled down, a grumpy frown over his face.

Sandstar froze where he stood. "Shh..." he whispered to Raggedtooth, his eyes narrowing. He could hear small footsteps behind them, ones that were familiar, but not out here...

Sunkit thought of some sort of plan to get past them. She decided to bolt around them. For such a small kit, she ran pretty fast and for a quick second, she saw her father and the senior warrior, making her legs pump even faster.

Raggedtooth's eyes narrowed and all joking and playfulness seemed to leave his face instantly. His ears cocked back while at the same time taking in all the scents around him and then he sighed, he heard that sound so many times before he didn't even have to think about it, "Kit." He muttered relaxing his muscles. He was prepared to take on a badger, though he was happy it wasn't a fox or anything of the sort and only a kit. He didn't want to fight now.

"A kit?!" Sandstar snarled. It seemed to upset him much more than a badger or fox would. He took a whiff of the air and then continued, still in a snarl, "Sunkit. Catch her!" Sandstar took off, his long legs making it very, very easy to run extremely fast. "Sunkit!" He growled. "Stop!"

Tough the little kit wanted to continue running, her legs locked and she froze, her head low and tail puffed out.
Ashpelt soon caught up her sunkit, her eyes hard yet understanding. SHe gave a sigh of relife, glad that she had stopped but she knew her mate had some stern words for her.

Raggedtooth raced after him though he wasn't as fast he could still stay right behind him. He stopped once he saw Ashpelt, "Ah you got her!" He yowled coming to a stop a few feet away. It wasn't his place to be near. It seemed to be a parent thing. It was in his respect to give the family some space.

By the time Raggedtooth was there, Sandstar was already. "Ashpelt, go back to camp. Raggedtooth...continue along the border," He hissed. "I need to have a...chat with Sunkit." His eyes were blazing. It was clear that no cat had ever seen him so angry before.

Ashpelt wanted to yowl in protest and rejection. "Its my kit too..." he said blunly before she padded back to camp. Ashpelt had a temper of her own and she wasnt afraid to show it to anyone.
Sunkit sat down, looking right into her fathers eyes, almost making her eyes intense and blazing like his. She did not lower her ears nor tuck her tail in, she simply gazed up at her dad, waiting for his blazing yowl.

Shortkit had now, in a fit of not being able to stay put - thrashed about the nursery, sending moss flying. He was bored, and still a tad grumpy.

((aauughhh...the agony..... D: I missed SO MUCh. Luckily, I read it all. Sorry, Krayni, and all you others. I went on vacation. No computers. Just family fun. :/ Aah, sigh. This is going to be a really long, painful post...))
Darkcrest blinked out of his trance, padding back to camp. He dropped the rest of his catches, after his first, followed by an adder, one crow and two frogs. He sighed, taking the tail of a mouse from the pile, reluctantly swallowing it. He felt like his emotions were spiraling, like he was going through wave after wave of emotion. He didn't know where his mind stood at all.
The dark-furred cat sat outside the warriors den, watching the kits play. He then directed his attention to the stone floor, muttering words to himself. He needed something to do, he was getting bored, and he needed to show the Clan that he was a loyal deputy. Perhaps organize a sunhigh patrol, or a sundown patrol, or get an apprentice or what-not. Darkcrest shook his head. "No, not an apprentice," He whispered to himself, although he would like someone to pass his skills on to. Being mateless, and seeing how nobody in the Clan ever talked to him, he realized that his generation would never continue.
He shrugged, his cold eyes blinking sadly as he paced around in circles before setting where he was, closing his eyes, realizing there was absolutely nothing to be done. The leader was out of camp, On a patrol, probably, he told himself, and the fresh-kill pile was extremely high, and he didn't have an apprentice to mentor. Feeling as lazy as he could ever possibly feel, he let out an enormous yawn before wandering into his dreams.
He walked a stone path, surrounded by nothing and no-one. He gazed into a lake, his reflection wasn't his, he was a silver cat, with violet eyes. He tilted his head, but the reflectionist's cat simply blinked her eyes and vanished leaving him with his own reflection in a wink. He sighed, nosing the water, watching as the ripples extend out, they never seemed to end.
