Now it was Hikari's turn to feel queazy. She removed her hand from his shoulder and crossed her arms in front of her, leaning on her elbows. "At least it has a moral... Don't piss of Adon." She grinned a little. "There are all kinds of people in this world, Adon. In the end, they always get what they deserve."

Adon shrugged and continued to stare off into space. That guy wasn't a person...hell, he wasn't even human. Adon hated that man and didn't care that he'd killed him. That man definitely deserved death, and Adon was glad that he was the one who got to deliver it, and it finally felt good to get it off his chest. Usually he told anyone who asked that it was a barfight gone even more wrong than usual. A comforting numbness settled over Adon, stopping any emotion he may have about the situation.

Hikari started to say something to break the uncomfortable silence, but Xander poked his head into the room, bracing his body against the frame of the door, before she could say anything. "We're about to land, about 300 yards from town." He cocked his head to the side. "You two okay?"
Hikari nodded and Xander shrugged, turning and heading back into the pilot room. He could be heard talking to Makiera, but his voice was indescerabe (sp?).

Adon sighed softly. "Sorry for being a buzzkill. I just don't like bringing that up. It's not a fun thing to think about."

Hikari smiled. "Don't worry. Xander doesn't like talking about his scar either... And if I may say--" She tilted her head to the side to get a better look at him "--it makes you look rather dashing." She grinned.
A few moments afterwards, a slight rumble let them know that they had landed. "Want me to go with you?" she asked with a grin, adding, "We could stir up a few rumors in that tavern of yours."

Adon smiled slightly. "Sure...You sure Xander won't get himself all in a tizzy?" Inside his head, thoughts were racing. What were her intentions, or even her motives? He trusted her and all, but he just met her! No way he would have attracted her interests so soon...GAH! Why were women so confusing? All he wanted was a clear sign of what she was thinking.

She shrugged. "I think he's warmed up to you. You did save me back there when he couldn't." She grinned at him. "Allow me to toss on that old dress, and I'll be right after you."

Adin chuckled a little bit. "All right, go on ahead. I'll wait outside." Adon smiled to himself as he watched her walk off. Nice body, Adon thought as he stood up. He walked outside and into the fresh air, back on to his turf. He knew land and trees and loved them. He stood in the clearing that Makkie had landed them in and stretched himself out, raising his arms up towards the sun.

Adon slowly turned around and smiled. "Yeah. I sure am. Anything you wanna do in town real quickly?" As he said it he started to walk down the path into town. The trees that lined the path were covered in snow. They were beautiful nonetheless, and the snow laden branches added a level of privacy unavailable in any other time of the year. They still had a good 20 minute walk until they got to the outskirts of the town.

She shrugged, crossing her arms. "Not really. I don't know this town well enough to know it's attractions. Besides, it seems as if your tavern is the town hall."

Adon shrugged. "I did what I could to make it an entertaining place. If people like it, they come back right?" Stepping one foot in front of the other, Adon still kept an eye open. Brigands had been known to travel these parts, and the idea of a lone pair of people would be an easy target would be extremely tempting to anyone.

"Makes sense." This time going into town, Hikari wore her pistols strapped to her waist. She was not going to be caught off-guard again, especially now that Arei was on high alert. Perhaps he had left the planet, but Hikari believed it more likely that he was hidden good in his mountain hideaway.
"You said before that you were going on 'another' adventure. Do you do vigilante work often?" She grinned to show she was teasing.

Adon laughed. "Oh that thing? That wasn't vigilante, that was justice. Guess my twisted childhood did teach me one positive thing. That guy had murdered a shopkeep in a barfight and ran out. Not at my bar of course, or else he'd be dead at the door, but at a neighbors bar. Now, me being the guy everyone comes too for this kind of stuff, I had to go take care of it. No big deal though..." Adon kinda shrugged it off. If he didn't go on one of these types of adventures 2 or 3 times a year, Adon considered it a slow year.

Hikari chuckled. "If I wanted to put you through hell, I'd say you should become a Keeper. But the academy..." she shivered, and not because of the cold weather. "It's not pleasant. I still dream about it.."
