In the general Naruto subforum, we had a short chat going about the seiyuu singing. Someone posted Touchika Kouichi singing "Angel". ^_^ ♥

ShikaNeji: Woah, sorry. Didn't mean to come off as a shouta-phile,there. (I thought we were talking about yummy older!Neji and older!Shika. My bad.)
I have a scene in my head about that Shikaku/Hizashi fic I want to write that has wittle!ShikaNeji fluff. heart
Okay, basically Sai attacked Naruto upon meeting him. Well, sorta. Naruto was begging Shikamaru and Chouji to go on the "Intercept-the-Sasori-to-Kabuto-message-which-by-a-predictable-plot-twist-becomes-another-failed-Sasuke-retrieval-mission-because-Sauske's-an-emo-p***k" mission, and all of the sudden, Ink Cats! Attack! (Noez!)
Chouji punches both ink cats while Shikamaru tackles Naruto to the ground in a rather suggestive manner to "protect" him -Cough-. (Seriously, when I saw that, I was drooling. -Was a ShikaNaru fangirl before ShikaNeji took over my brains-)
ANYWAY, fast forward. Shikamaru and team walk into the hospital room where Naruto, Sakura, and Sai were visiting Kakashi. Shika sees Mr.Apathy (as you like to dub him), and does his growly face since Sai tried touching his b***h. But then, Sai explains everything, and they're all buddy-buddy afterwards, by yet another convenient plot-twist.
ADD: Will check out the song now.
(Looks like it's another night of not doing homework. I really need to stop screwing around on the computer after school.)

Sure, it's desirable to get the characters and timeframe as close to the canon as possible, but there's always that leeway given to make changes. As long as the changes are tastefully done (which, goes from person to person depending on their own personal opinions), then why not make them? Persoanlly, I like how you write. And, I'm sure many others do as well, so don't worry too much. ^^;
