*Kura inches a little closer, still in a ready position to strike or defend*
Kura: "Answer me! Who are you and why are you after me!?"
*the machine simply stands there and looks coldly as Kura....for this passes off as a threat to him and Kura instinctively Jumps forward aims a air-side kick to the machine's head*

Atsu take up the rope that Ianthe dropped over the side, all ready to drop down to Kura's aid if need be.

*the machine sidesteps at the last second, grabbing Kura out of the air and throwing him towards the nearest wall. Not a full second afterwards it appears before Atsu. The machine has taken Kura's actions as a threat and is now attacking everything within the vicinity. It stands before Atsu and his daughter for a moment before firing off a huge Messatsu Gou Haddou, Shou's signature move.*

"Watch out!" Atsu sweeps up his daughter around the waist with his free hand and drops over the edge of the cliff, slowing their descent of with his other hand still on the rope.

"Thanks Daddy." Clings to Atsu with one hand as they descend using the other to prepare her for battle.

"No problem," Atsu replies as they hit the bottom, "What else are parents for?" He shakes his hand a little, it was rubbed a little raw from the rope. "Now get ready. I don't think that thing is done yet."

Ianthe nods stringing her bow and looking at the metalic creature warily.

((Ah, just what I was waiting for, something to break the stalemate))
Just as Atsu and his daugher dodged the Messatsu Gou Haddou, Shou-lao swooped into the air to try and get an height advantage over the snarling Mu Kung and flew right into the attack and was smashed backwards into one of the edges of the hole. Not one to leave an advantage untaken, Mu Kung pounced on the stunned Shou-lao and in a quick movement had the crane's neck in his teeth..
"See you in the next life bird, for victory is mine." And with a quick flex of his massive jaws Mu Kung snapped Shou-lao's neck.
Posing in triumph over his foe, the tiger roared his victory to the heavens as he and his foe flashed into a sparkling cloud or lights and spiraled into the fire.
As the echoes of Mu Kung's roar faded into the distance, the fire flared to a height well above the rim of the pit and took on a roar of it's own as tje flames started to darken till they reached a deep violet hue. Soon after, the figure at the base of the flame started to stir.

Atsu saw the beasts out of the corner of his eye, not sure what to expect he kept his focus on the metalic attacker above them on the surface.

Moving closer to Atsu, Ianthe kneeled in a firing position unsure of what to expect next.

((sorry for the dissapearing act in the middle of a fight, but my drill sergeants gave me no choice. the whole company was restricted to the barracks, only allowed to leave to go eat. it sucked.))
*a metal orb on the machine's head swivels around as if looking at Atsu and Ianthe. then the thing jumps.....high. laser beams streak out from it all around in it's opponents direction, at the same time a "snikt" sound can be heard as two blades extend from each of it's forearms. The machine spirals down in a deadly corkscrew straight towards Ianthe....*

"Oh no you don't!" Without hesitating, Atsu grabs his daughter and dodges through the laser shower. The lasers stiking the dirt kick up a lot of dust and debries, enshrouding the two. Finding a large clump of dirt to use for cover he quickly drops Ianthe behind it with a simple, "Cover me." He moved back out into the dust cloud and activated his mirage.
When the dust clears, it appears as though Ianthe is laying on the ground, grasping a rather nasy looking laser burn through her leg.

Nodding once she takes up position with her bow ready waiting for any further sign of threat.

*the machine lands gracefully at the end of the corkscrew maneuver, facing towards Atsu. A humming sound much like a turbine starting up can be heard from it as the chest opens up. Light can be seen coming from whatever is inside*
((oh yeah atsu, you know what's coming! xd ))
