Yes, but the metal hasn't completely solidified yet, so basically your hand becomes the spoon.

One of the most feared and yet inspiring legends of the underworld core is that of the infamous Spork of Ja'aleth. Its handle is carved of the deepest obsidian, and its small, stubby, sporky tines are of the purest quicksilver. It is said it could demolish a high school cafeteria salisbury steak in a single strike.

Oh Hon, if you're gonna be goin' with them to the center of the earth with the Commander and Thaddeus, won't you need some protective gear? I have a cloak I recently came into possession of that is (apparently) enchanted to resist even the hottest fires of hell.... atleast that's what the tag said.
It's also dry-clean only, who knew.
