ozzyfan I don't get flu shots. I don't trust them ..... stare The flu shot people get can not give you the flu except in the most extreme and rare cases. The most common symptoms of a flu shot are soreness or redness around the injection site, very small cold symptoms. [i.e. stuffy or runny nose, slight sore throat, or a small cough.] The symptoms don't typically go past 2-3 days. The shot itself keeps you from getting full blown flu at any time during the flu season - but does NOT keep you from transferring it to other people. [You can carry it, but not catch it.] ...Yes. I read too many medical journals, notes, etc. etc. *read six whole pages on the flu shot alone one day*

It is windy again. stressed Good thing I stocked up on sinus medicine. Since Sudafed changed their formulas..I have to get another brand. Hopefully the Tylonel one will work. xp

My mom's a nurse so some medical terms have found their way to my brain.
I've not gotten a flu shot in a long while. *shrugs* I haven't really had a cold in a long while either though. ninja *knocks on wood*
I can't believe it's already December and I still don't have a job. gonk

I haven't had a cold in a while either, just migraines around my period and bad sinus headaches. xp

Aww. Migraines are never fun.
That's awesome that you're getting an iPod. 3nodding My Mom actually got me a PSP for christmas. O_o I was rather shocked. Can't wait to play it. ^^

I just don't believe in getting flu shots. If I get sick, I get sick. Big whopdie do. I'm not in a risk group, I don't really need it. Save the money and vaccine from people in risk groups who might actually DIE if they get the flu... not some strappin' young twenty-something like me. confused
... what's a migrane? (doesn't get migranes) blaugh

(doesn't get migranes) blaugh A migraine is a MAJOR headache with some or all of the following: sensitivity to light and sound and nausia. Mine are caused by my period, my love of chocolate and major weather changes. The only thing I can do if I get a bad one is take migraine medicine and lay down in a dark quiet room...hopefully I won't get sick. xp A bad one usually hits my stomach first, and my head feels like its being hit and poked with sharp things. crying

Essentially...it can make you bedridden for a few days until it goes away. Mine are usually preceded by shooting lights, sharp pain in my eyes, dizziness, and severe nausea. Then I end up in bed for two days till it goes down enough I can get up to take medicine. sweatdrop

Loki : I still don't trust flu shots - I'm not so much worried about getting the flu as I am about the the other stuff that might be in there (contaminants/other diseases). I heard a guest on a talk show warning about the possibilities - if I can find his website again, I'll post a link ....

My grandma has very bad sinus colds, they feel like the flu she says. xp
I am still trying to find out about I-Pods and what they can do. Is anyone really tech savvy I have a question. Are you able to play music you uploaded from your own cd's. I know you can only play music from I-Tunes you have to buy..but can you play music from your cd's too? I have yet to find an answer to this silly question. sweatdrop Many thanks in advance. biggrin

Ozzy - The chances of getting a shot with a contaminant is very remote. According to all the info I read up on, from multiple sources [which is a VERY important thing to do if you're going to be getting something as iffy as a flu shot], the chances of getting some contaminant or alternative disease from it are rarer than getting struck by lightning.
Emeraude - I used to get them that bad in school, when my sis lived here. They were stress induced.
On IPods, you can play ANY .mp3, etc. file on them. You just rip them from the CD/other source, then rip them to the IPod. Works the same as any MP3 player, from what I understand. [I ripped all my music for my MP3 player from my CDs.]

Migraines: One really bad one I got was in the car with my mom and step dad on the way home. The sun was setting and hit me smack in the eyes, there was no way I could shield them or get out of it. I luckily had Excedrin Migraine and didn't have the nausia as bad. I am taking Advil Migraine capsules. They seem to work a bit faster and go down better than the Excedrin Migraine.
Chels: Thanks for the info about ipods. smile I have never had a mp3 player before and I wondered. I am glad I can use the music from my cd's. I have a big collection. eek
Anyone hear from Yue? How is he? crying

No problem, Emeraude. ^^ I haven't heard from Yue in ages...last I heard he and Ale were still together, he was in college, and was making images for cell phone emoticons and backgrounds.
