Rand blushed, turning her pale skin a very deep shade of red. She swallowed. "Lovers?" She didn't remeber a whole lot about that...
She coughed, he had mentioned the angelic before, though she couldn't recall a face. Had she some relationship with this girl? Were they friends? Errtu told her no, but she decided not to believe him The feathers felt wonderful against her, made her feel like she was in controle again.
"These memoreis you speak of....they sound like ones I would want to have back. Would you tell me some? Myabe I'll remeber a little." She rubbed her cheek against his chest, snuggled in and got more comfortable.

"you and the angelic at first did not get along. she saw you as just the Conduit, and you hated her arrogance and quick judgement. but since you have become friends. you and us, she noted, were very affectionate. she thought we might be lovers. we talked of it, and we both agreed if the chance came up, we might try it."
He thought back, trying to remember the things she couldn't.
"The angelic helped us get Morelle, helped you by anchoring you during the ceremony. you and us hunted the men who made the supplies. we had fun it was a good Hunt."
"You have been friend and family for as long as you have been here. we gave you home in our den becuase it's wards stopped the void from hurting the furniture, and you were able to get a good sleep on a sturdy bed. you loved the furs, and you liked the den and chose to stay. we slept that first night in teh same bed, as we only had one. we remembered you cuddled to us."

Rand hid her blushed with her hair and his chest. Did she always turn red this much? She wondered what she was before the den...before she became family.
"Cuddled? That one's easy to believe. You are very...uh...cuddable." She petted Morelle. She had wondered about him, albeit breifly. The tiny creture was a constant companion. And he took alot of controle from her. Soft furs, good sleep, sturdy beds...she had a feeling she had none of that before comming to the manor. But she remebered not a thing. But then, perhaps she didn't want to remeber the times before the manor. They were grim, maybe even frightening.
Her tail twined around a wrist, held it for a moment. "It seems that my tail having a mind of it's own is something that it inherited from you."

"More than likely. the tail is not as bound to our mind as the rest of us, free to act on stray thoughts, we find."
He nuzzled her lightly, keeping his petting with one hand, letting her tail keep hold of the other.
"Before you came to us..you said you were always alone. the dark things in the void made furniture crumble, books decay, bad luck happen. so you wandered. you were..suicidal. you wanted to die to close the void in you. or find a way to close it otherwise. that is what brought you to the idea of a Familiar. that is little Morelle. we held the ceremony in our den, and he came to you. you asked us for a name, we offered to name him after a good we knew, as he had often been seen in your dreams. Morelle, the god of dreams."
He lightly petted the little creature.
"But you are here, and now that you have Morelle, we find the Errtu being inside you does not like that he cannot so easily come and go as he might please. but you can fight him, and you will. we will help your memory how we can. whatever you need of us we will give, if we are able."

"Wow...alot has happened since I've been here. If I need something Cymarron, you will be the first that I ask." Her tail tugged in his wrist, as if it wanted to drag it somewhere.
"Morelle isn't in my dreams anymore. Just Errtu. Poor little guy, he must have been agry to know that I forgot about him."
Then she thought about the suicidal comment. Yup...she didn't want to remeber that. They talked for a long while, Cymarron telling lots that had happened. But nothing seemed to ring a bell. She did though, have a chance to see her memories through his eyes. She came to smile when he mentioned all the times he held her like this, and even the first time he hugged her, when it looked like she was drunk. She truly wanted to recall the feelings she had then, the feeling of being warm for the first time.
She closed her eyes and listened, and eventually beggan to purr. Her tail guided his hand to her back, to join the other in it's petting. She listened, and at times it felt like she could almost remeber....
((damn this short time span...I need sleep))

He let his hand be guided as her tail wished, and he held and petted her, and talked. everything he coudl remember, every detail he coudl see in his mind's eye as she rested and purred. eventually the tail grew slack, her body relaxed as sleep took her. he didn't move, letting her sleep under the stars tonight, safe with him. His tail kept around her waist, and he softly cut his finger with a claw, using the blood to write small runes on her skin. he hoped the spiritual link in his blood woudl hold enough power outside his den.
"remember, little Raven. no matter what he says or does, remember."
He did not sleep, staying awake to watch the Raven, ensure her safety and protect her however he was able. and he woudl remain such until the next mornings light or until she herself awoke.

"Blast it all child!" A lot of grumbling, a lot if cursing, a lot of banging and yelling from the room that was to be the nursery. These sounds accompanied by a high pitched giggle and squeal. Then all the noise stopped. The door burst open from the kick of a heavy boot. Out came Kian...holding Ecara up off the floor with one hand by her little wings, almost like he was holding a wolf pup by it's scruff. He was mumbling angrily under his breath. "Aurahkah!"
Ecara on the other hand was just dangling from his hold. It didn't hurt her so she had nothing to complain about. In fact she found it fun just dangling there, twitching her ears every now and then giving giggles from Kian's annoyance. "Mommy!" She called for her mother simply because Kian did, and she was currently causing the man trouble, and was continuing to do so.
From the kitchen, washing dishes, Aurahkah looked away from her work for a moment at the calls. Seems Ecara had finally gotten to the man. Just like Aura had promised Kian would. And now he wanted her to come to the rescue of him. She let him suffer as she finished the dishes and dried her hands. Running a hand through her hair to straighten it she left the kitchen and traversed the short distance to where Kian stood with Ecara in hold. "Problems?"
Kian took a step towards Aurahkah, holding Ecara closer to her. "You can have this back now. I admit defeat, I can't handle her. All she does is ask questions and buzz around my work and and...well it's hard to concentrate.
She giggled again. "Kian's funny mommy." The bond child then twitched her ears and outstretched her arms to her mother, wanting to be in her hold instead of Kian's.
Aura could only laugh and take hold of her daughter, smoothing the feathers of her once held wings as she held the girl on her hip with one arm. "Yes he is sweetheart." She gave her own laugh and looked to Kian. "So how are things coming anyway."
"Aurahkah dear, I'm done. What I've been doing for the last day has been detailing. Finished it all except the things you told me to leave alone, for the sake of their owners. That'd be the beds for the animals and the Cymarron fellow. But of course...I think I may stay a day or two more. You know me. Perfectionist."
"Best be. Otherwise I wouldn't ask these things of you."
Piper gave a yawn, stretching. She was still in the tree she slept in but also among mess. She had been at her arrows all night, not having the urge to sleep, but to work. The young elf had exhausted her supply of Cymarron made arrowheads, and almost all of the golden feathers from his wings. She wouldn't be running out anytime soon, that was for sure. Still going strong without even a nap she was working on finishing touches. The arrows had been turned tip down to soak in the jar of venom she had courtesy of the winged feline, so that the bone, twine, and some of the wood shaft itself would absorb it and hold its affects. Then they had been set out to dry. Once dry she picked each one up, and crested it. Her crest? A delicately painted silver colored feather on each shaft. Every one would know these were Silverfeather's arrows. In fact, she finished the last one now, blowing on the paint to dry it. That arrow was dropped into her quiver with the other new ones and she grabbed her bow, dropping from the tree.

Cymarron has been awake. was still awake. and Raven held gently. he hadn't felt her stir, hadn't heard her make any sounds. but he was getting cramped, and carried her into teh Den, and to her bed. he laid her gently, and wrote runes into teh stone with his claws, scratches really, to give strength, to help her memory, to help her fight the creature Errtu.
Then with a yawn and a stretch, to the kitchen for breakfast. or Lunch..whatever time it was. he hadn't really noticed, his focus being on his sister.
So into the kitchen he went, and to the fridge. of course while he didn't notice, certain biological triggers were starting to activate, first being a very faint underlying scent to his own, a phermone that was designed to make females more receptive. no matter how keen his sense of smell, it was something his mind would register and file away without really notcing. the second was a slight dialation to his eyes. it didn't affect hid sight, however so it too went unnoticed by him, while he sat int eh kitchen eating raw wolfmeat and drinking eggnog.

Ecara who wasn't paying attention to the adults saw Cymarron enter and head to the kitchen. Her ears perked happily. She had been so fascinated with Kian, or spending time with mommy and Saradin Phoenix that she hadn't played with him in a while. Squirming a little, she got her mother to release her and she rand to the kitchen. Where therein she collided with Cymarron's' knee as he sat, nuzzling it with her cheek. "Cymarron!"
She on the other hand had stepped into the new nursery with Kian...who got a hug and a rather un Aura-ish approving squeal. This mother instinct in her was really starting to show. Someone said something or did something related to kids, she would make that noise. It was odd to say the least. "This is wonderful Kian. Absolutely." Exactly how she had wanted it and more. He had even taken the liberty of painting a mural that covered the entire wall. It highly resembled the look of the courtyard. Next thing she knew, she was being hugged by Kian.
Kian released her. "Glade you like it girly. Now for my reward, I think I'll have a drink. Where are you stashing the stuff at?" Turning from the room he stepped in the hallway, heading for the kitchen.
Aura only followed him. "Well Cymarron has it all. And as Ecara has practically screamed, he's in the kitchen. You have to go through him to get your booze Kian." Both soon arrived there as well to accompany the two there.
Another arrow zinged off the bow and slammed into the tree. Piper smiled and lowered her bow. It was slung across her shoulder as she retrieved the three arrows that she had tested. Perfect as ever. In fact, they had never performed so well. Must be the feathers. Yanking them from the tree, returning them to the quiver, her ears picked up the early noises of the day, a little muffled by the headband of course. Voices she hadn't heard before. Stepping into the manor with both quiver and bow over her shoulder she followed her ears. In the kitchen were several people, one of which she knew. Piper would just watch for a moment.

Cymarron looked down at little Ecara, and smiled, hefting hr up on teh table to look at her.
"well well! Little Ecara, how does teh day bless an old cat."
He chuckled, and offered her some of his breakfast, smiling brightly. it had been some time since he'd seen the little kit of Aura's, and he mussed her hair and looked her over.
"You've grown since we last saw you, haven't you?"
A sniff to the air, that brought the scent of another.
"Well, Piper...come meet Ecara, the Den Mother's child...and the Den Mother, and Kian."
His ruby gaze moved to therm with a grin and a flick of the ears, his tail was going nuts however, curling and lashing about, as if it was just looking for something to latch on to.

Evan trudged through the slimy streets, going to see if the rumors were indeed true. He had only been gone about a week, but the woman that had accepted him, was said to be out of place. She was not even his mother, his mother was God only knows where. With his plain dark black shirt, blue jeans, and long black coat, he did all he could to blend in. Despite his attempts, his ice cold eyes cut through like shards, so he kept them averted. Everyone knew who's eyes those were, though not because they were his own. He stopped outside the tavern door, only too see people come and go, rowdier than when Dobbs was in charge. he ran one hand through his hair in glum, distraught hesitation. Where was she?
Then he saw his kin fighting like drunken fools. Fighting as if they had some rights to the place, which they did not. He was disgusted at his own blood. Horribly disgusted and hoped there were certain traits he would not grow into. Looking down the street, he did not see her, though it was hard to imagine that she would have to look in worse condition than when he left. Following the busy street with taverns, bars, and saloons of all kinds, he happened to glance down a side alley, seeing a pile that could be a person. "Elisabeth?"

Ecara showed off her newly set in fangs. "Yes, growing." She gave him a smile and hugged to him again, nuzzling under his chin so that even her ears were squished. Then she took the food that was offered her, overly chewing on it as she often did. Ears perked to what Cymarron was calling out however.
Aura went about, grabbing a glass from the cupboard for Kian. Also for herself, it had been a while since she had a drink. "I see you're as happy as ever Cymarron dead. Haven't seen you in a couple of day, what with all of Kian's whining." But her attention turned to the one who Cymarron called. "Someone new?" Faintly she remembered Eclipse saying something.
"Whining? It's called perfectionism." Walking over to Cymarron, he clapped the feline roughly on the shoulder, even making his wings respond in a twitch from the forced muscles movement. "Cymarron! Good old Cymarron! Where is it that you're hiding the booze? A toast needs to be made!" Straight to the point as always Kian was.
Piper instinctively tightened her bandanna, smoothed the wrinkles from her clothes and made an entrance to the kitchen and the little group of people. She already knew each by name, having been standing outside of the kitchen like that. With a smile to them all, she gave a rather showy bow just for the sake of it. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Silverfeather. Piper Silverfeather." Her understanding was that Aurahkah was top around here, a little bit of manners and formal introduction couldn't hurt.

Elisabeth slowly climbed to her feet leaning against a building for support. She fixed her ravaged dress around her and wiped the blood off of her lip. "Evan? You shouldn't be here right now. You know what they'll do if they think you're on my side." She shook her head. Everything she had worked so hard for was slipping right through her fingers. She had thought it was bad when she was married to that son of a b***h. She had even thought things were looking up with his death. But now...she was worse off than before. A few weeks ago his kin began arriving. His children really. The son of a b***h had littered his bastards all over the place. And now they had come to claim what they believed to be theirs. It wasn't. She had been tossed on the street with no food and no blankets. Only Evan had taken pity on her. He seemed to be different from the rest. One good apple in a bunch of rotten ones. She moved her hand over her face, touching her split lip and sighed.

"We have all liqour in our Den...what can we get for you, Metalworker Kian?"
A slight fidget when his wings involutarily moved, but other than that, perfectly fine...and his attention went to piper with a grin.
"She is our newest friend. she likes our arowheads and feathers. she's a flechter. These are Ecara, the Den Mother, and Kian. and we will be right back with liqour for you, Kian. and wine for the Den mother."
He slipped off to his Den, checking on raven who seemed okay..and came back with one bottle of burbon in his tail, one of tequila in his right hand nad a bottle of wine in his left.
"These suffice?"

Evan shook his head as he could not believe what had come of the situation. He gave her a bandana to whipe away the blood. "At this point I do not care, this is wrong. You suffered for years to get your due from him, that tavern to keep running, so you could have a place of your own. I did not even have a right to intrude really. But you took me in anyway..." He had shown up on her doorstep needing drugs, just a little while ago. She had taken him in and given him clothes, tried to break him up the needs, but it had not worked. She did not have to know that at this moment, now he leaves only to come back to chaos. He was to get a job in the next town, but it had not worked out.
Taking off his coat, he slipped it around her now again thin, malnurished frame. "I am sorry." Odd how he did not care if his own mother was on the streets, but Elisabeth mattered, because she had cared for him. Wrapped up in another piece of clothe, he gave her the last of the food he had, even as his stomach growled. "Have you heard anything? Is there anything you know if that I can do? So we can somehow change this?" One of the bastards, a large one, walked by as Evan moved to block Elisabeth from view.
