Ben would listen to Duncan, fear welling up inside of him. However, he nodded to Duncan, holding onto his emotions."Okay... I can do this." He would wait a second, keeping his voice low. He concentrated as hard as he could, and focused almost every ounce of energy he had into the illusion of himself, still chained to the altar, and his true form invisible within it. "Okay... Done. I hope... So? Now what do we do? I'm ready, whenever you are." Ben was still terrified, but he wouldn't show it. He was a bit weak now, but he had enough power to fight for his life.

He watched Ben as he started the illusion giving him some of his own magic to try and help him. As his own illusion faded and Ben's took hold, he wanted to reply but sensed his father returning. "Take the cube and summon the others when you feel the time right." He turned in time to see his father enter and prayed their magics were enough to fool him.
"Duncan, I see you entertaining our guest. Last words?" He looked to his son feeling the magic within the room. The boy's presence had grown but did wonder. "Shall we then? You're not having doubts are you?"
He shook his head looking to the boy on the altar. "Merely thinking. I've been out of practice in my torture skill. Perhaps if you'll allow, spare the boy during this transition. I could use him as a practice till I tire of him. I would ask of your little goblins, but they're a bore and too used to torture for it to be any fun."
He rose a brow looking to his son before smiling. "I suppose I could grant you that wish, but, as always we bargain. I'm already helping to resurrect the girl for, whatever it is you want of her. For the boy, let see..." His smile never faded seeing his son's reactions. "You help bring your brother Darkness back to life as only you and I can." He'd wait to let it sink in. "Do we have a deal? Swear by your blood and all that is dark."
He listened to the proposition as the goblins moved the mirror towards the altar in wait. "I sear by my blood and all that is unholy, I will help my brother." He watched his father clap and smile before he activated the mirror. He knew Ben needed to act once it was fully into motion.
Vladimir looked to his son pleased at this turn. He knew he hated Darkness with everything it was. The fact he was willing to help resurrect him was a bonus. And once bound by an oath of blood, it could not be broken. He turned to the mirror activating it and starting the separation.

Ben looked to Duncan as he swore to help revive his dark brother. It was a look of worry, but Duncan did not look swayed. Perhaps there was something he had planned of before hand? He thought, but keeping quiet. Suddenly, after watching Vlad activate the mirror, he realized! Vlad can't force him to revive Darkness if the deal settled on keeping himself alive afterwards for torture! Of course! Duncan, Kiera must have rubbed off on you, he thought. Still, it was a longshot, and to make sure that this would all go down, would take an extreme stroke of everyone's collective luck! He just hoped he knew what to do. He had a feeling, that Kiera needed to be present in some shape or form, and that would be the easy part. He wondered how they were going to find her, let alone get her here! He was starting to become flustered, but kept the illusion up.

He watched as the glass would glow in swirling colors. He knew Ben was pushing his luck waiting to call the others and would have to buy him time. He watched as he moved the image of Ben's hands to touch the glass though there was nothing. Too late now. He used his magic quickly to throw the mirror away though land so it wouldn't break some distance away.
He moved the young man's hand to touch the glass though there was nothing. The unicorns should have been released? He looked to his son scowling. "What have you done? You gave a blood oath!"
He shook his head. "I gave an oath to help my brother. I didn't specify if it was to revive him or not." He drew his blade blocking his father's as the illusions ended. "Ben! Use the damn box and mirror already!" His voice more like a growl as he fought his father to try and keep him and any else from entering till backup could come.
Arthur didn't like his sister keeping secrets from them. He turned hearing yelling and was suddenly back in the room with her body. "Whoa."
"Yeah later, that box thing in your hand is glowing. It's time we get your sister and brother back as they were meant to be." He looked to his great-nephew as he picked up Kiera's body. "Taris, take the orb. Arthur, you need to link to your brother if you can or pray that box works."
He watched them and nodded looking to the box. He called his magic hearing yelling outside of the room. "Who's that?"
"That? Oh the others that don't want us to leave. So we best get going before they can stop us and she dies for real."
He nodded activating the box and tossing it before them. He watched as the air seemed to split and suddenly he was looking at a cave like room. He looked in seeing a dark soldier heading towards his brother and ran through drawing his sword to block the dark one's. "Go on Ben, I got you covered!"

Ben snapped to attention, and threw the box, activating it! As he did, he saw the area split apart! It opened into a weird looking room, and Arthur jumped out of it! He killed a dark soldier from behind him, and they both smirked at each other. "Got it, Arthur! Thanks!" He saw also, that there was a man coming through the portal, bringing Kiera's body and a stone through with him!? "Kiera! You must be Nexas! No time, come on! The mirror's over here!" The tightness in his chest was getting worse, almost unbearable, from using all his magic to cast that illusion... He just hoped he had enough strength left to reach the mirror in time.
Jareth looked at Twink and the device he carried. It had begun to glow, and give off an aura. "Twink? Is that the signal?" He looked at the box again, and performed a small bit of magic, bringing Oberon, Titania, and Erin to him. "Sorry for the sudden teleportation, but I believe the time to act is upon us!"
Slack was working with Oberon, finishing the last touches to the dragon scale gauntlets that they forged for both Arthur and Ben. They also finished mixing the Dragon's scale powder with some rather unstable chemicals. "There. That should come in handy for the boys, and Kiera, should they actually succeed." Suddenly, he saw that Oberon had vanished before his eyes. "What? What in the-? Damn, I got to get this stuff to them!" He grabbed the gear, and raced from his lab, trying to hunt down Oberon, and the others. It was around the fifth room he checked, Jareth and Erin's room, that he found them all! "Damn it! Warn someone first! Here!" He threw the gear to Jareth. "That's for your kids! I'm not much of a fighter, but those should save your children from any major harm!"

Arthur fought the soldier back running them through. He made his way back to Ben helping him to the mirror. "I'm sorry, I don't have the slightest idea how this works." He looked to him then noticed to doorway where soldiers were starting to come from. He cursed seeing Duncan busy with his father. "Ben, you do not leave this mirror, and for now forget about everything else." His tone implied not to argue as he headed off to start fighting soldiers to buy as much time as he could.
Twink nodded activating the small box and tossing it to show a dark room. Beyond it he could see the princes as well as the princess and others. He didn't think he simply acted as he went through to help Arthur with the soldiers by the door. He also noted his queen and Titania doing the same.
Erin felt the tug and was suddenly in her room with her husband and a portal it seemed. She noted her mother-in-law's expression towards her but shook her head and went through. She knew her husband wasn't going to be thrilled but they didn't have time to argue about it. She fought through one looking to the opening and wondering if she could use her magic. She pulled what she could sending it to the opening and watched as a door began to form over. "Seal that door!"
Duncan continued fighting his father. They were nearly evenly matched. As long as the others could hold his father's forces off he would deal with Vladimir. He knew it was his fear so worked with it. "No more father. This darkness ends today! There must always be a balance."
He snarled at his son moving fast. He was out of practice fighting another at his level of skill. Too many years against weak or lesser mages and immortals. "There will never be a balance Duncan. Its only an illusions of the tipping scales. That family will die, I will have their magic! I will have those unicorns!"
he followed with Taris close by resting his niece next to the mirror opposite of Ben. "Ben touch the mirror," He pulled a small piece of paper from his pocket and waited till the boy would do as asked. His focus had to be him and the area before they could attempt the girl. When Ben would do as asked he began to chant. The swirling colors would spin faster and glow brighter till the light was near blinding to those near. Ben would begin feeling the pull of the unicorns leaving his body and soul. Once done the whine of the unicorns could be heard as they stayed together huddled to one corner of the room.

Ben hid in the corner, his entire family, it seemed, showing up, and trying to help him and his sister! However, as Nexas instructed him, he touched the mirror, and soon felt the Unicorns being separated from him, finally! The surprising part was he was still alive! "It worked!" He turned, seeing the magnificent creatures huddling next to him. He would have spent more time studying, but there was work to be done!
Jareth and his family, along with Twink, went through the portal! Everyone taking their spots, he saw Arthur and Ben, tossing them their gauntlets. "Here! Put them on! They'll help!" He then went to work, not having time to explain further. He helped Oberon and Erin seal the door that she formed to keep the rest of the army out.

Arthur kept fighting hearing the unicorns and looked back just long enough to see his brother moving about. He knew they weren't done yet and saw the portal back to the castle. "Ben! Get them through the portal and home!" He noted the gauntlets but was too busy fighting to attempt putting them on.
Erin held the door seeing her son and Twink fighting what had made it in. The enemy pushing hard trying to open it. She cursed as a spear went through beside her head barely missing it. "I should have made this steel!"
He cursed seeing the unicorns. They were his to claim. He fought trying to gain advantage till he felt Duncan's blade slice into his arm. He stumbled back a bit knowing non had done so before. "You want to be defiant Duncan? Then I shall take you out with them!" He called his magic about the room creating total darkness within moments. He let his magic loose like lightning striking in every direction.
He watched happy to see the boy had peace now. He let him do as he needed bringing the girl to the mirror just as it had gotten dark. "Taris that orb is it to the mirror?" He heard her reply that it was and nodded, not that she could see. Nothing could be in the darkness. He called the incantation and prayed it worked. He'd call out as lightning struck out everywhere and heard the breaking of glass. He cursed seeing the glass shards lit up and prayed it had been enough time to complete for the girl.

Ben rushed the Unicorns through the portal quickly, just before the entire place became dark, and black! It hit him hard, especially considering his fear! He began to shiver, and went back to when Puck had put the three of them through his little test. He was scared just like back then. He didn't want to come all this way, just to be swallowed by the darkness! He heard Nexas call out to Taris about the crystal, and then saw as the mirror had been shattered, however it had glowed, and shined brightly before fading. He grew worried, not knowing if it worked! But... It was then, that he remembered. "The light..." This was almost just like his test over a year ago! "Everyone hold on! I'm going to try something stupid!" He didn't know if it would work, but before anyone could object, Ben began to turn his magic in on himself! He began to build it up, compacting it, and in turn, it began to radiate. It began to make Ben glow, and soon, he could see his own hands, then his feet, and soon the surrounding area was bright enough to see. "Here goes nothing!" He built up a bit more energy, and let it all out! Within the time it took to blink an eye, the whole cave, and probably the whole entire hideout was now brimming over with pure light! "This is my light, Vlad! And Light always triumphs over Darkness!"

Erin looked about the darkness feeling frozen in place. One fear she could never get over. She felt the door break behind them and fell forward though didn't move. "Jareth?" She did her best to try and remain calm though she was paralyzed with the fear. Old memories surfacing to her mind as she heard Arthur calling out and could tell he'd been hurt, though didn't know how bad. As the light returned she moved just missing a blade to her stomach. She fought hard to reach Arthur seeing his arm bleeding badly. "Arthur we're coming."
He laughed hearing the boy and watched as his light returned. "You're as foolish as the immortals! this is a place of absolute darkness! You're light means nothing here!" He looked to his son smiling as his forces entered. "You'll want to retreat Duncan. If you want your new company to live."
He looked about the darkness not bothered. He was part of it after all. When the light came back he flinched dodging his father's attacks. He heard his tone and knew he had something else coming. "Everyone fall back to the portal! We can't win as we are." He looked to his father as they locked blades. "I will stop you. That you have my word on." He would pushed back best he could.
He cursed not knowing what to do. At least the unicorns had escaped. As the light came back on he would look to the girl, the orb beside her into pieces like the mirror though she wasn't moving. He didn't think as he picked her up and ran through the portal with her, Taris fast on his heels.

"Erin!" Jareth would move to try and find her in the darkness, but couldn't see her. When the light returned, though, he saw a soldier about to strike her! He rammed into it, and watched as Erin moved just in time. As Duncan told them to run, however, he didn't even think. He picked Erin up in his arms, and ran with the lot of them to escape back through the portal.
Ben would feel good, returning the light, but it was short-lived as Duncan warned them all to run! He briefly saw as Nexas grabbed Kiera's body, and ran through the portal with Taris as well. He followed, making sure Arthur was on the right side of the gateway. "Come on, Arthur! I'm not letting you go down like that!" He dragged him part of the way, then helped him to his feet, escaping barely. As the portal closed behind all of them, he took a deep breath, finally free of the Unicorns. He felt a nudge on his back, though, and turned around. He was face to face with one of them. "Oh... Hello."

Erin felt her husband picking her up but protested knowing their son needed help. She was glad seeing Ben helping him but worried. As they were through she did a head count seeing Duncan just as it closed. She was relieved and turned to hold her husband. She was still shaky but getting better, till she saw Nexas holding their daughter. She nearly broke at the site but had something to do first. "Duncan, please take Kiera from Nexas and get her somewhere safe." She watched as he moved ignoring the unicorns trying to interact. She moved to stand before him before giving him her left hook to his face. "What the hell! You disappear from us then take our daughter, again, to shop up last minute? I warned you last time." She then turned moving Ben from the unicorns. Creatures of love and light aside they were just as much at fault. "You stay away from my children, you've caused enough harm. It was one thing between Jack, my brother and me, but my children is crossing the line and you know it."
He looked to the girl in his arms not seeing any sign that the mirror had worked. It troubled him. He knew what they would have to do next if they hadn't and felt sad at it. His attention was brought back as the one called Duncan took her from him, and was face with his nephew's wife. He recoiled a bit holding his jaw as she decked him and let her go on her rant. He figured it was going to come from all of them but had had little choice or say in the matter.
Arthur watched what was going on around them. He held his one arm trying to stop the blood at least in that wound but had a few others he knew needed attention. He didn't care. As his mother went on a warpath he was stuck watching Duncan take their sister away. He was worried not feeling any different before and knew the timing had been too close to know if it worked. He tapped Ben's shoulder pointing towards where Duncan was going. He thought to mingle with the now free unicorns but was sure his mother would stop that.

Ben watched everything go on, and was somewhat frozen on the spot! He wanted to move, but did not know exactly what was going to happen next. He knew his mother was defensive when it came to them, but didn't know about this kind of reaction. He felt Arthur tap him on the shoulder, though, and nodded. He'd follow Duncan, carrying Arthur with him. He would have to fix up his brother anyway. A moment or two later, and they would be out of earshot of their mother. "Phew. I thought she was going to kill him. I've never really seen her go off on anyone like that. Not that I don't understand, I suppose... Duncan? Arthur? Do you... sense anything? I mean, from Kiera?"

Titania watched the scene amused at first though noted the stress level in the goblin queen. She knew it wouldn't be a good thing to keep up. She moved calmly seeing everyone save Nexas flinching not knowing how to react or what to do. Something she adored about her mortal daughter-in-law. She placed her hands gently on Erin's shoulder and whispered so only she would hear. She watched her pause and nod giving in a bit. "Jareth dear, take your wife to bed. She needs rest, all this stress is not good for her health at this time."
Arthur listened following along as Duncan brought their sister to her room in the castle. He kept watch silently as he tucked her into her bed. At Ben's question, he wasn't sure what to say. "I don't feel anything.. It.. doesn't look like we made it in time."
He had moved the girl to her room and tucked her in. He would move aside letting her brothers near. As he had held her before he felt little to nothing from her. She felt dead but not at the same time. He supposed some of her soul had been retrieved, but little more than what amounted to a ghost."Perhaps letting her body rest the night. I will stand guard so you both may also rest. Ben, I'd imagine sleeping may be harder tonight for you."

Ben looked to Duncan as he told him to go to bed, and he sighed. "Look, I'm a little tired of being told to go rest. I don't need it. My head is too full of everything that happened. Sleep is the last thing in it. But, I'll take a look at Arthur." He looked to his brother. "Come on, now. You look bad, and I honestly think it's going to be a bit before we know whether or not Kiera was saved. I'm going to hold onto my hopes. You need to get fixed. Come." He led Arthur out of the room, letting Duncan guard over his sister's body. He knew why he wanted to guard her, but he wouldn't accept that.
Jareth did as his mother asked, and took Erin by her shoulders, leading her to their bedroom. He tried his best not to incur her wrath. "Erin, love. You need to relax. Like Titania said, this stress will cause you some kind of harm. And you need to relax. At least, look at the good things. We're alive, and Ben is now separated from the Unicorns. Honestly, that's the best news we've had in a long time, wouldn't you say?"
