*Scythe had been knocked to one side when Shadow had tackled Eric.* Eric! Shadow! *She started to get up and moved towards them, but Storm stopped her.*
>Scythe, don't. We can't do anything.<
>But Storm, Shadow is still injured!<
>Scythe, if we get involved now, they'll go at each other harder, trying to protect us. It's better if we just stay out of the way.<
>But they'll kill each other!< *Scythe finally managed to twist away from Storm and started towards the feuding men.*
*Storm growled and tackled Scythe again, causing them to fall over each other. Storm jumped back, her eyes flaring. Scythe jumped to one side, her fangs extending and the power around her beginning to build, forming a sphere of red energy around her. Storm saw this and began to form her own shield out of blue energy.*
I warned you to stay out of this! *Scythe snarled, her eyes beginning to glow blood red.*
And I warned you not to go near them! *Storm shot back. She suddenly coughed into her arm. As she pulled her arm away, a small trickle of blood could be seen at the side of her mouth.* Damn. I have to take care of this, fast. *she thought to herself.*

Shadow looked away from Storm his eyes still wide and Eric took the chance to land an attack that sent Shadow flying off the ground and into a huge pile of sand that a kid was building. He got up holding his ribs looking at Eric "We'll end this... later..." he breathed exhausted and fell to his knees.
Eric looked at Shadow panting showing no sign of pain or injury "Humph... pathetic honestly Shadow... you could do better I've seen you.. yet you can never and will never beat me..." he said smiling and his eyes got wide when he saw the energy ball flying at him and he dodged it jumping it out of the way letting it fly past Storm and Scythe "... hah... so you're not done are ye?" he said and sat an energy ball at Shadow and he dodged it ~ Scythe... I have no intetion to kill him he's a part of me... he goes I go remember... so just stay out of it and help Storm...~ he said and dodged another ball from Shadow sending one at Shadow midway in the air.
Shadow flew backwards back into the pile of sand and made a slight crack in its hard shell. Blood trickled down from his cheek and he looked at Eric breathing hard and raspy. His fangs came out and his eyes changed color and the wrap around his waist was quickly turning a deep and dark redish black.
Eric looked at him and smiled and reached in his pocket and brought out a locket/charm on a silver chain and wrapped it around his hand. He smirked and as he saw Shadow's expression, which was now wide eyed and a hint of fear in it "Hmm... you know what this is... the one thing that prevents you from changing... what should I do with it Shadow... or should I now say Navin..." he said and looked at Shadow whoes eyes where now completely changed to the same as Navins.
Navin smirked, now that he had taken over Shadow's body, he took the wrap off and threw it on the ground letting it catch in the wind. He looked at Eric a smirk on his face "Well... my friend... I now know who has that bravo... *claps quietly* and I'm impressed on how good you are at telling who this is my friend..." he said and walked up to Eric and looked at him in the eyes "now which one of us is the stronger part of Shadow... which one has more love and compassion to stay alive... well the love is you... but the will and strength out of us is Shadow... and I'm just the strength part and the inteligence... you're the trouble maker one..." he said and put a hand on Eric's chest and the tattoo immediately changed into a similar mark to that on Shadow' chest. "Nice try..." he said and Eric clenched the locket closer as Navin sent him flying in the air.
Nerik notice the comotion on the beach and rushed up to Eric and then left him and ran and wrapped his arms around Navin making sure he didn't move "Change back... and make him put that damned thing away... you guys can coexist equally you've done it before... so come on let Shadow have his body back..." he said and Navin sighed his fist clinched and changed back and let Shadow's body go limp and fall but Nerik caught it.
Eric got up dusting himself off and put the locket back in his pocket and walked over to Shadow and glared at him "You don't get it do you... you're pathetic..." he said and shoved his hand farther into his pockets and walked off.
Shadow woke up a couple seconds later and winced, groaning a little he tried to sit up but was caught off gaurd by Nerik's arms around him "W-what happened... where's Eric..." he said looking around.
Nerik frowned and looked off into the distance and Shadow followed his eyes "He beat you again... he obviously has a cooler head than you..." he said and Shadow looked up with surprise in his eyes then glared at Nerik.

*Storm and Scythe still hadn't calmed down. The energy around them, by this point, had grown so intense that it formed shields around them.* You should know better than to get in the way of me and what I want, Storm-Sama. *Scythe hissed, her body crackling with power.*
And you should know better than to get between to men! *Storm shot back, her body giving off faint pulses of energy. She suddenly coughed again, and blood fell onto the ground in a puddle.*
*Scythe smirked and began levitating off the ground. She shot at Storm, her aura following her.*
*Storm cursed profusely and shot at her twin. The two auras collided, and the two bounced off each other, shooting each girl backwards. The collision area erupted into a large crater.*
*Scythe landed on her feet, fangs bared.* You don't stand a chance in your condition.
*Storm landed on her feet as well, but she quickly ended up in her knees. She coughed roughly, blood pooling at her feet from her lungs.* Oh gods... *She struggled to her feet, barely able to support herself.*

Shadow got up to his feet and apparated in front of Storm and looked at Scythe "End.... this now..." he said glaring at Scythe his arms spread out as though it would help protect Storm in some way. Shadow said standing there his wounds evident and bleeding black blood and his mark grew brighter every second and his eyes changed and his fangs came out as well barred just like Scythes.(( song for the moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WBa2GeUbxc&feature=related ))

*Storm looked up at Shadow, her eyes glazing over from blood loss.* Sh-Shadow... koi... don't... *She coughed hard again, more blood coming out of her mouth from her lungs.*
*Scythe watched him with interest. She finally sighed and allowed her power to fade.* Calm yourself, Shadow. If you transform again, Storm won't be able to help you this time. *She landed on her feet, her wings spread wide.* I'll be back by morning. *She turned away and flew off. She landed a ways away on the beach and sat down on the shoreline. She sighed and pulled her legs to her chest.* Eric... earlier... did I hear him right...? Did he say... he... loved me? *She stared out at the sea.*

Eric walked up silently behind her and sat a hand gently on her shoulder "You did..." he said looking out in the sea and sat down next to her "why are you suprised... you couldn't tell... could you?" he asked dazed slightly from the fight listening to Shadow's breathing.
Shadow sighed his eyes still the same color but the mark had turned normal. He turned around and started to heal Storm and when he was done his body went limp and he fell to the ground and passed out from exhaustion his wounds still trickling blood and his breathing raspy and uneven ~I-I'm s-sorry... S... storm *groans* nyarg... I-i shouldn't of... acted... that way...~ he said to her mentally knowing that she was pretty much healed and that he could rest now.
Nerik looked up and saw Shadow in the crater with Storm and sighed, he got up and walked over to them "I hope you're happy Shadow... he'll be gone for a while..." he said to the now unconcious Shadow with a frown on his face.

*Scythe nearly jumped out of her skin.* Ah! Eric! I didn't realize you were there! *she fell quiet, then said,* It's not that I didn't notice... It's just... I never expected anyone... to fall in love with me... *She turned to Eric.* Eric, I'm a vampire and almost a demon. At least, that's what my behavior's like. You still love me... despite that?
*Storm was on her side next to Shadow, no longer bleeding from the mouth.* >It's okay, Shadow... next time... just try to control yourself a bit more...< *she then opened her eyes, locking eyes with Nerik.* He'll be gone for a while as well, Master Nerik. Shadow-koi's unconscious. *she started to stand, but she barely had the energy to get to her knees.*

Eric smiled "Hah... that wouldn't stop me... you're very kind and understand us better than anyone... and just being a vampire or even close to being a demon is close to what hell Shadow has inside him..." he said smiling still looking out and gently placed a hand on Scythes drawing circles with his free hand. He started to hum a tune that resembled a song that seemed to be one of Scythe's and Storm's to sing. (( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A3RcgenigvQ ))Nerik looked down at her and nodded "I know... he brought that on himself..." he said and looked out to the ocean and waved Crystal in and she came and picked up Storm gently "I got him... you have her right..." he said smiling and Crystal nodded and they walked inside together. When they got inside Nerik split with Crystal and took Shadow immediately up to his own room and wraped him up in the wrap then put his black covers ontop of him. "Sleep well my friend..." he whispered and lit some incense and walked outside shutting the door quietly. He joined Crystal in Storm's room where she was taking care of her."Looks like we're going to have a handful when they return... two fuding half's that's interesting..." she said looking at Nerik and he had a grim look on his face "Now Storm please stay in your room and let Shadow get some rest... his blood lust is going to be high... when he wakes up and I don't want to know what happens and I dont' think you will either..." she said looking back at Storm now and covered her up in the sheets that were an ocean blue color on her bed. She said and kissed Storm, like a mother, on the forehead and smiled and walked out "Now get some sleep..." she said and closed the door with Nerik trailing before her.Shadow started to dream of his mother and how life was like when he was younger before everything happened. before Eric had split from him, before his was blind, before the time when his brother and father were mean to him. He laid there silent dreaming letting the incense floating over him "M... o.... m..." he said in a strained whisper. And he started to gasp for air again. Crystal peaked in and smiled.She walked to his bed and sat on the edge and put a hand on his head ontop of the wet cloth that was already there "I'm here Shadow... I'm here... buddy... I'm your mom now remember..." she said smiling a tear trickled down her cheek looking at Shadow struggling to hang on. "You have Storm... me... Navin... Nerik... Eric... Gladriel... Shep... Haru... Hashi... everyone at the school... so don't give up again... you're strong..." she said and pushed the cloth up from his hand and kissed it the same way she did Storm's and pulled back and smiled "now get better buddy..." she said sitting there watching....

*Scythe looked down at their entwined hands for what seemed like eternity. She finally looked up and let a real smile cross her lips.* Eric... Thank you... *She leaned over, resting her head on his shoulder.*
*Storm finally fell into a shallow sleep, dreams plaguing at her mind. Her mind wandered to a time when she was alone and attacked. Left defenseless, Scythe took over her body for the first time. When she came to, the blood around her was everywhere, even soaking her hair. She fell to her knees, in the middle of the woods, surrounded by the corpses of men, and cried.* Oh god... *She gasped in her sleep, beads of sweat beginning to form on her forehead as the fever that had been plaguing her for days finally began to resurface.*

Eric smiled "Yeah... you're welcome..." he said smiling still looking out to the ocean and then looked at her and turned his head to rest it on Scythes and closed his eyes and started humming again concentrating on the warmth of the last bit of sun.
Nerik ran in to Storm's room and put a wet cloth on her head and sighed looking at her "Come on Storm... fight it... Shadow needs you... your family at the school needs you don't give up... you're stronger than that..." he said smiling humming a tune similar to Eric's.
Shadow started to drift in and out of dreams pain and anger was starting to build in his body and he was trying to fight it down but wasnt' doing very well... his mark started to glow and his body was changing back and forth. Navin sat there inside of Shadow's mind and looked at him...
"You know you shouldn't be doing this to yourself Shadow... you change how are they going to get you back... not that you would die... but what would happen..." he said to Shadow and the spirit of Shadow and Navin sat there in Shadow's mind conversing.
"I'd... I'd have to find a way back... thats just it though isn't it... I won't be able to... is that what you're saying... that I'm not going to be able to... I have to... I need Storm... I need her to be with me..." he said and shook his head "I need blood as well... gah...argh..." his said wincing in pain holding his ribs his fingers slightly curled up "Navin... w-what are you doing..?" he said as he watched Navin get up and leave.

*Scythe sighed quietly, scooting closer to Eric.* Eric... I never said it... but... I love you too... *She wrapped her arms around his waist, still leaning on his shoulder.*
*Storm barely registered Nerik's words, but she heard them. She twisted in bed, her sweat soaking the sheets. She gasped for breath, her body fighting the fever.* Sh-Shadow... *she coughed again, her breath coming in short gasps.*

(( songs for the post: Chrono Crusades and I need you to love me anime couples )) Navin walked in the room and looked at Storm and Nerik "Shadow's fine he'll be awaking sometime later... but miss Storm you have to stay with us now we don't want anything too bad to happen now do we..." he said and went and sat on the other side of the bed and put a hand on Storm's head letting Shadow take over for a few seconds while starting to heal her.Shadow through Navin: "Come on Storm...we need you... I need you, you can't leave me..." he said looking at her.Nerik looked at Navin and smiled "I'll leave you to be..." he said and got up took one last look of Storm sighed and walked out of the room silently shutting the door behind him.Shadow looked at Nerik and smiled still in Navin's body "I had a dream Storm... I had a dream of us, we were young and playing tag running around, our parents were friends and we were too. We... hm... we were running around my garden in the palace trying to catch each other having fun... you finally won and made me... hah... fall into the *chuckles again* in the fountain... Finally mum... mum came out and told us to go and get in the bath tub we did and we still played... sending bubble messages to each other... after the baths we went and had dinner... and we... we caused soo much trouble then... our dog Barret started running around underneath everyones feet after we had let him in while the parents ate dinner. We stood in the kitchen watching laughing hysterically but the cook caught us and we started running. It was so funny... and so good... lets promise... we can try to have that for us when we're done... a peaceful life..." he said and bent down and kissed her on the cheek then let Navin take over his body again and Shadow went to his own.To Eric: Eric smiled and held her hand still his breathing getting more and more relaxed, he looked out and saw the sun had finally gone down and the moon had come out. This time just a slight cresent moon, he got up pulling Scythe with him and walked down to the water taking his pants off and leaving his trunks on "Lets go for a dip... " he said and walked in a little ways waiting for Scythe.

*Storm shuddered a bit, then let her eyes slide open.* Sh-shadow... koi... *she let a smile cross her lips, then she coughed again.* Y-you're okay... *she coughed harshly.* Sh-shouldn't you be r-resting? *she coughed hard, and again, blood began to flow from her mouth again.* That dream... I had... one that was the same... from my perspective... *she nodded.* We will have that future... *she felt her inner energy well and she began to fight off the fever.*
*Scythe stared at Eric for a moment, then she smiled.* Okay... *she moved towards the shore, sliding the sleeves of her dress off. She let the dress fall to the ground. She slowly waded into the surf, the water flowing around her waist and the tips of her hair.*

Eric smiled and waded up to her and picked her up and waded dipper into the water. The water glowed around them from the light of the crescent moon "Relax... and have fun..." he said softly his voice deep.
Navin looked at Storm and smiled "He's asleep... in his bed. He took over for a while... now don't give up on us Storm... keep fighting that fever." he said smiling humming the lullaby that Shadow use to sing all the time.
