The scream surprised Shinkiro so badly that she immediately jumped into Kiante's arms, screaming as well. Berri followed her example and clung to Cyber.

"Waaaah! Something's loud and's creepy!!!" Berri yelled. Shinkiro clung tightly, her ears ringing from the screaming. Then remembering her training and looking up and Kiante, she jumped away blushing, calmed herself, and opened the pantry door.

Shinkiro nearly kicked Kiante in the shin, but Berri pulled her away from him before she could put her 'evil' plan to action.

"Control your's temper, Shinkiro's," Berri said in a serious tone. "Just because's hes a's boy, does's not mean's you can's kick him's." Shinkiro did her best to ignore every word Berri said, but still took it to heart. 'Dangit, I hate it when she's right.' She thought. She turned around, facing Kiante and decided to be mature.

"I'm sorry I forgot my training, captain." She did a small Japanese bow and went into the pantry and helped out the candlemon, who was very grateful.

Berri watched Shinkiro and Kiante's interaction with amusement. 'Humans...' she thought, hiding her smirk with one of her wings. She turned to Cyber and Candlemon.

"You's okay, Candlemon's? I hope's so." Berri said. Candlemon looked upset, but nodded. "What's were you's doing?" She said, repeating Cyber's question. Candlemon cowered for a moment before turning to the four of them.

"I was hiding from Drakugunmon. I thought you were him. Drakugunmon is a digimon that just started terrorizing us. He's new. Nobody knows where he came from." His voice was shaky.

"Us is the rest of the Candlemon's. They're all hiding... I think. He looks like a dragon, with a vampires face on his forehead. He is probably level 40." Shinkiro sighed.

"Great... level 40."

"Champion...." whispered the candlemon in fear. He almost jumped when Berri put her wing around him in comfort.

"No's fear, Kiante's and Shinkiro's are Digidestined's. They will's help you's. Cyber and's I will's help too's." She smiled and turned to Shinkiro with a confidence. "Right?" Shinkiro nodded yet sweat dropped.

"Right... even if this Drakugunmon is a champion/level 40... oi vie."

Candlemon shook his head. "I-I have no idea..." Berri patted his shoulder and sighed.

"He's is too's shook up's, Kiante-san. I's think that's we should's let him's calm down's first." Shinkiro nodded.

"Yes, would you like to rest, Candlemon. I can understand why your spooked. Especially with such a troublesome digimon on the loose. But no need to worry, Kiante, Cyber, Berri and I will deal with him. You just relax, kay'?"

Candlemon seemed to calm down somewhat and took her for her word. "I-If you s-say s-s-s-so." Though he still stammered.

Shinkiro glared at Kiante's back as he moved farther away. Berri had grabbed onto her arm to remind her to keep her cool and not to slug him.

"Who does he think he is, ordering us around like that!?" she growled.

"Ummmm... our's captain?" Berri said, sweat dropping as Shinkiro remembered her place.

"Bah! Does he really think we're going to stay here and let him get all the glory and action?! That dope forgets that we're here for a reason, and that reason is to help! And now he's taking the spotlight away with him!!" Candlemon was startled by the sudden change in attitude Shinkiro had when Kiante wasn't around. Berri sighed, covering her face with her beak.

"In's my opinion's, your just's mad because's if this's goes well's, and he's gets congratulated's, you feel's like you's never got's any credit's or praise's. Ugh, your's such an's ego-maniac, you's know that's?"

"Shut up! Don't analyze me, Berri! Stop acting like you can read me like an open book!!" Berri sweat dropped again as Shinkiro muttered a few insults under her breath as she silently waited for Kiante to get out of sight.

'The only's reason why's your acting's like this's, Shinkiro, is's because you've's realized that's there IS's someone out's there with's more cool's, more intelligence's and better's leadership skills's then you's. Not to's mention he's saw you's freaking out's, but you's hid your's anger with's maturity. Your's growing up's, Shinkiro...' Berri thought and smiled,' your's falling in's love...'

Shinkiro glared at Berri's blank expression. "Bust a move, birdie. Let's follow them quick!" Shinkiro said as began to go down the hall way. Berri frowned.

"We's were told's to stay's HERE." Her voice was firm, but Shinkiro continued. And soon enough, Candlemon was following Shinkiro at her side and Berri walked some feet behind them. "We're's going to's get in's trouble..." she said, finally realizing her efforts were futile.
