Here's a question for all you Christian rockers what is christian rock I mean are they all christian or it's apecific sound. Lol my mom has a cd with numbers on the back and when you flip it it turns to 666(christian hits)

Lol my mom has a cd with numbers on the back and when you flip it it turns to 666(christian hits) There's no "sound" to Christian Rock, in my opinion. It's Christian Rock precisely because the members are openly Christian musicians writing songs about God and for God. It's not necessarily about the genre...it's all about the reason behind the music. Other bands in other genres might have Christian members, but that's not what their music is all about most of the time.

I'm sorry but I truly hate Christian music, mainly because of how they are trying to be something their not. Also about how some of them try to force the religion on you.
No offence to anyone, it's just my opinion.

well, i think we all try to be something we're not. i mean, we all do wrong things. the only one who was what He claimed was Jesus. we all are just Christians, Christ-imitators. only, we'll never be able to be as good as He was. but we try. the good thing is, He came so that one day we will be made like Him when we die. but yeah, i don't like all Christian music either. there's a good bit where the message is not completely supported by the Bible, but because a popular group sings it or because it sounds nice, we take it as the truth. Anyways, I really am partial to Joy Williams. She's not that popular, but I can really identify with her music and she's got a good sound. I also like Plumb a bit too. They're very similar to Evanescence.

I like Casting Crowns, True Vibe, DC Talk, Plumb, Mark Schultz, Paul Coleman Trio, David Crowder Band, Sonic Flood, Micheal W. Smith, Relient K, Jeremy Camp and Steven Curtis Chapman. Benjamin Gate and Switchfoot aren't too bad either. (though I find switchfoot's second cd was a bit darker then the first.)
I really like that one song by Overflow too. 'Cry On My Shoulder' I think it was called. I don't know any of their other songs so I'll have to with hold judgement on the group at the moment.

I didn't know Relient K is a Christian band until now... sweatdrop I've only heard "Who I Am Hates Who I've Been", and it didn't sound very religious. Hillsong and Delirious? are great! My favourite song is "I Could Sing Of Your Love Forever". I caught their free concert-collaboration last year, and was totally blown away. With such passion and conviction, they really stirred up the Christian spirit. Everybody, including the grandmas and grandpas, was singing and dancing away!

I don't really listen to Christian music to my knowledge but I have a question. What if you listen to a band/artist and they have a few songs that mention Christian stuff, is that Christian music?
