Alexis nodded. The night sky was so beautiful at the time, and viewing them with Taylor would make it even more spectacular.

Alexis snuggled into Taylor and made herself comfortable, occasionally she would glance up into the sky, but for the most part she just watched Taylor, he looked so peaceful, and she just loved the shine in his eyes. Taylor stretched to kiss him on the cheek. "I love you" she said

Alexis smiled and wiped away Taylor's tear. "You're adorable!" she said. She looked at her watch and it was 11:30. "It's 11:30, do you think we should start going? I told your mom you'd be back by 12." Alexis dreaded going home.

Alexis blushed and smiled back at him. "My eyes aren't nearly as gorgeous as yours." she said.

Alexis and Taylor started walking towards Alexis' street, but as they approached, Alexis began to have a bad feeling. Something wasn't right, suddenly they saw flashing red and blue lights, and they heard distant sirens. Alexis cried out loud and started running as she saw a series of police and ambulance vehicles outside her house, and the ambulance was carrying her mother into the vehicle. The neighbours stood outside looking worried and Alexis ran up to them. "What happened!?" she cried out. " Your mother came stumbling out of the house and collapsed on the front lawn, we called the ambulance right away, I'm sure she'll be alright dear." they assured, but Alexis could see dishonesty in their eyes.

How could i let this happen!? I should've taken care of her right when i saw her passed out! Alexis began to sob and screamed "What was I thinking!? This is all my fault!"

Alexis continued to sniff and sigh, trying not to start crying again. She nodded, she couldn't speak, she couldn't even give him a "thank you" smile for snapping her back out of panic. she got in the moped and did her seatbelt up.

At first, Alexis was reluctant to go in the hospital. She was afraid that they would tell her the same fate befell her mother as did her father, she couldn't handle losing both of them. But after, she knew she would have to face reality, whatever that may be. She walked into the hospital and demanded to the person at the front desk to tell her where her mom was. The secretary called a nurse to escort them to the room.

"It's this way you two." said the nurse solemnly, she had already been in there to assist about 15 mins earlier.

As they approached the room, Alexis went to burst into the room, but the nurse said: "I'm afraid you'll have to wait out here for a while. The doctor needs space and the scene may be a bit graphic for you.

"Graphic!?" cried Alexis, who had now started producing tears in her eyes once more. "But what are they doing to her!?"
"Your mother seems to have consumed quite a lot of alchohol, they're only trying to get it out of her system." replied the nurse.

Alexis no longer knew what to say, she looked up at Taylor, she was frightened and she was looking for security in his eyes. Tears rolled silently down her cheeks and she gave up, looked down at the floor and whispered "How could I ever let this happen? what did i do wrong?"
