Aeife nodded, drawing her knees to her chest with her cloak wrapped tightly around her. She stared into the fire with unblinking eyes.
"What am I, then...?" she whispered this uncertainty to herself, "Am I good or evil...? A little bit of both, maybe." She wrapped her arms around her legs, holding herself like a child. As she thought, she recalled as much of the Quon incident that she could. How she lost herself and became something dark... How everyone died. She shook her head roughly, trying to remove the painful memory.

*jogs to the lake and dives in to the bottom, searching for anything that stands out. a few seconds later he spots his pack and swims towards it. he would have cried out if he hadn't been underwater. picks it up, and is forced to wakl on the bottom because it's full of water. heads back to shore as fast as he could, scooping up a handful of reeds along the way and surfaces, breathing deep and dumping out the water in his backpack. waits until he gets back to the fireside before checking to see what he could salvage*
Alright, I'm back

Aeife lifted her head to look at him, nodding again slightly. She smelled the water and craved it, wanting to dive into it's depths to forget herself again. By now the water was possibly quite cold, what with the sun set and the moon rising. She could hear the waterfall, trickling over the rocks, calling her name. However she dismissed it and looked to Gordon.
"Thank you," she spoke in a small voice, meek and tender.

*smiles a bit* you're welcome. lets get you fed.
*dumps out the abckpack and roots through everuthing until he finds a utility knife. plucks all of the bird's feathers off, then removes the head and innards. makes a bed out of the reeds on the coals of the fire and lays the pheasant on top of that to cook*
alright...lets see what's saveable. *finds and throws out the soggy trail rations, locates his copper wire, caltrops, tosses his torches, finds a squishy knotted bag and is hesitant to open it*
Hmm...what's in here?

Aeife's nose scrunched at the smell of the pheasant's innards. A sudden flashback to Quon and the scent of death had her head reeling. Her hand touched to her temple as she began to breath through her mouth to blot out that smell.
He grabbed her attention when he pulled out a sack. She looked over, being sure to avoid looking at the entrails of their dinner.

ohhh....I remember now! hehe, tanglefoot bag...glad I did'nt open it in my face.
*looks over to see Aeife looking at the sack. undos the knot, points it at the scrps of the pheasant and opens it. a green goo shoots out and covers a five foot square and sticks itself to the ground*
One of the most useful items you can come across for entangling someone. it'll dry out in about an hour or so. *pokes the pheasant with a knife and flips it over to cook the other side

Aeife's eyes widened at what happened. She had never seen anything like that before. Was it something from the east?
"I see," she made the comment still staring at the pile of green goo on the ground.

*laughs* any young alchemist can make these things. they use them for pranks.
*goes over to the goo, puts a finger in it and lifts it up, taking the goo, the innards and the tops of the grass with it. forms it into a ball and stuffs it back into the sack and puts it back into his pack.*
pheasant should be done soon.
*uses the rest of the reeds to make some makeshift plates*

Time seemed to fly as Toni taught Traiza, enjoying watching him catch on to everything she threw at him. He'd already caught on to hunting, tracking, and fighting and had aged to about the age of 12 already which was still shocking to her to watch You've done enough, go get cleaned up and come back. Time to practice handling weapons
Racing to wash his face he threw some cold water over his head and hands and ran back, taking up a long bow and lunging playfully at Toni Practice starts now, on guard
Toni lazily bapped it away and took up one of her daggers and carefully went through the motions of the drills with him, contemplating bringing him back. It'd been a long while now, longer than she'd planned on. Smiling she dodged his attacks, leaping up into the trees to get him used to being off the ground Traiza, do you think it's almost time to head back home? You've learned about everything you can from me
He stopped midswing and fell from the branch he was balanced on, landing with a loud thud. Frowing for a moment he looked up and nodded Yeah... It's been so long, I can't really remember anything from when we left, I was so little. When can we leave?
Soon, maybe later today if you want. First you have to get back up and finish your drills

Toni watched Traiza rush to pack everything they'd been using. Leaning lazily back against the tree she closed her eyes and sent her thoughts back to the fortress
Volgraza, you there? I'm not interupting anything am I?

Toni smiled and stood up Ready to go?
Traiza nodded as he handed the pack to Toni, twitching nervously as she concentrated and changed into his true form. His scales had turned a deep purple tinted a light green. Leaping into his mother's arms he snuggled in under her cloak as she summoned her staff and swung her leg over, kicking off the ground and flying back to the fortress Geez you're getting heavy, you used to fit into the palm of my hand and now I can't even hold you on my staff properly

Aeife leaned forward, slowly bringing herself from the rock. She acknowledged Gordon, but it almost seemed as if she were in a trance. Her eyes gazed at nothing, focused on something beyond human perception. With deliberate motions, she moved herself upward against the will of her somewhat sore muscles. She walked to the rising boulders that formed the waterfall and began to ascend its steady-most slope. From there she moved to stand by the the cascading waters of petite proportion..

Aeife gazed at the water below, watching the light from the moon distort with the ripples created by the falls. She had heard Gordon, but chose to ignore him, being transfixed to the water that called her name. Withdrawing behind the veil of a nearby tree's leaves, she unfastened her brooch. Charging forward, she tossed the white cloak at the man as a distraction as she lept off the slippery rocks to the waters below.
The coldness of the lake was surprising to say the least. The fridged water slapping against her skin knocked the wind out of her, forcing her to rise to the surface. As she crested, she tossed her head to and fro, messing her already soaked silver-blue hair. With graceful strokes, she skimmed along the surface toward the reflection of the moon, moving slowly and fluidly as if she were a swan. Looking up to the bright satellite, she could see His face with His glowing smile.
"Shouyin," she whispered as she felt the chill shoot through to her bones, "why...?"
