[No worries, comrades, we're all living in this land of confusion. wink That's a great song by Disturbed, by the way. There's actually a Eureka SeveN AMV using that music, too, Sep. =D]

T'evair sat alone on the deck of the ship, with her friend. It wasn't quite a sunny day--more of a cloudy sky overhead with the minimum amount of sun patches peeking through. Sighing, the young child felt the wind rush through her hair and traced patterns on the rotting wood planks beneath her. /Erel, Elu-pi is late/ she remarked to her friend. /So, if she doesn't come, can I train with you?/

{I'm sorry, M'lady T'evair--the Lady Elana is the only psychic advanced enough to be able to train. I myself am under her apprenticeship!} Erel seemed apolgetic, her wing-ears fluttering in the soft breeze. The girl was a short one, and oddly clothed. Swathed in a sheath of all-white, complete with long sleeves and a train that hid her skinny legs, the twelve-year-old looked every inch of an angel. Of course, she was one, but still. No one needed to know about the combat boots that hid themselves under her dress.

"Tee-hee, Ereru," came the cackling voice of her "guardian." "Isn't it about time that the new one came?"

{New one, Miss Krezel? I'm not sure what you're talking about.} Erel seemed defensive, not knowing of her friend's actions.

The older girl, thin as a twig--literally--and with one wonky eye, emerged from the lower hull to answer Erel's question and cackled her insanity to the world. "Yes, you do, my dear! That new warrior, the one with the delicious aura!" Krezel babbled, her crazed eye bouncing up and down in her excitement. The teenager, gone insane since her pre-teen years, was a half-cat-demon, half-Fallen, and proud of it. Crushed, grey wings were sported prominently from her backside. "Delicious, delicious, delicious--but not nutritious at all! Tee-hee!"

{...Krezel, you're scary.}

"I'm guessing that this 'new warrior' is me?" Fumasu said as he rose out of Krezel's shadow. He had listened to the conversation from the various shadows. Fumasu's impression of Krezel was one of puzzlement. 'She's...different.' He thought to himself.
METAL, on the other hand, found Krezel amusing.

"Yup!" Krezel spun around and jabbed a finger in his direction. Somehow, it was perfectly manicured and sharpened to kill. Coming close to his face, Krezel snapped the appendage back and instead pranced around Fumasu. "We-he-he!" she giggled, her wonky eye bouncing up and down as her other peered intensely at him. "The naughty one inside you is much-much cool! Krezel has decided she will train you!"

Erel sighed. Her guardian always did whatever she wanted and no one bothered to even rectify Krezel's mistakes. {I'd watch what this one does before you train him.} she warned, and Krezel waved a hand at her.

"Oh, blargh, Ereru!" she cackled. "No, this naughty one--or two!--is perfect!!" Without waiting, she drew a short staff and launched upwards in the air, coming down at the man in a swift downward strike. Her dress somehow merely ruffled in the wind and did not fly up at all, the stained petticoats staying about her thighs to prevent any wardrobe malfunctions. The right eye bobbled as Krezel moved.

"Heh," METAL chuckled as the Crucifix shot out from Krezel's shadow at supersonic speeds. They intended to prevent Krezel from even touching them.

The behemoth weapon smacked her directly in the chin, but the Fallen didn't flinch and she back-flipped, taking the time it would take for the weapon to retract to stab at Fumasu's chest with her staff. "Not fast enough, nor strong enough!" she declared. It seemed rather odd that this one would have the power to just shoot out a massive, wooden thing at near-light speed, but Krezel didn't think about it. But what really seemed quite strange was that this man SHOWED ABSOLUTELY NO WEAKNESS AT ALL.

METAL's eyes widened as the staff slammed into their chest. "Gah!" They shouted and were knocked off balance. There was a loud crash as they landed on their back, gasping for breath. "Impressive..." METAL grimaced as they started to reach for the Crucifix.
((For future reference the Crucifix is a metal anti-tank weapon shaped like a cross.))

~+ Gotcha, thanks! I thought it was wooden... +~

"You do have a way of dramatizing everything, don't you?" Krezel grinned as she stood above the man. In truth, she had barely tapped Fumasu, but one tap was all she needed to put extreme force behind it. "Remember, dearies, the best warrior doesn't make a fuss and doesn't need senseless shadow-magicks to muck about and kill people.

"You fail!"
The deadbeat response she gave made Erel double-over in silent laughter at the comically neutral face Krezel exhibited.

As the smug Fallen walked away, she shouldered the staff. "Why don't you see me again in a few minutes and we can talking about'a trainin', hm?"
