Koichi stopped scratching for a moment. Damn it, he thought, not having wanted her to know. He couldn't avoid it forever, but why ask? Why, why, why?! "Her name..." he said slowly, letting his hand drop as he fell foward, lying on his stomach as he store at the fire, "her name is... kitty," he said not wanting to look at her since he knew his face was most likely turning red again. He hoped she wouldn't be mad at him for giving the Kitten such a name, but he couldn't think of another one for the kitten when he'd found it.

Kana waited quietly for a reply, curiously growing again since he seemed to be delaying slightly. He started, then stopped as he repositioned himself, before finally starting again. At the answer she got, Kana froze for a second. "O-oh," she stammered, but that made sense. He'd said he named the kitten after her, so why not give it her nickname? You really were replacing me... Kana thought quietly, but she just smiled down towards it anyway. "That's nice," she said simply.
[Edit-I'm starting work on homework, so if I delay, that's why. D:]

"Don't think of it that way," Koichi said, suddenly sitting up and looking over at Kana; he couldn't help but peak into her mind. "I would never dream of replacing you," he said softly, hoping she'd understand. He would never dream of doing such a thing; she was too precious to him. The kitten, sensing something weird, just gave a soft meow, looking up at the two who were towering over her in a way; she didn't mind them being so tall, but to her, they seemed rather close [they aren't really, but from down there, they look it xD]

Kana's face flushed as she glanced towards Koichi. Mind reading... She felt like she was at a disadvantage. "I know," she said quietly, smiling lightly at him. She was just paranoid, and she knew it too. She'd just felt kinda bad for a moment, thinking this kitten had replace her, taken her spot in the life of someone she likes more than she showed. Her attention shifted back to the kitten, and she scooped her up in her arms, nuzzling her face against hers lightly. "It's ok," Kana murmured. "Don't worry about it."
[I see xD;]

Kazu had woken up early, before the sun had a chance to rise. He had dressed in the usual black ragged jeans, his boots, and a ragged vest that seemed to be made of various pieces of other vests. He had walked out of the dorms and headed out though the paths of the campus reaching the gate and taking the closest road down to where the signs pointed. He had walked for quite some time looking around at the view of the edge of the forest, saw some small animals running around. It was peaceful and quiet, as he neared another sign the sun began to rise slowly from the horizon blinding him for a moment so he had to squint for a bit as he walked.
Kazu had hear the sound of crashing waves from afar, he had only a memory of being on a beach when he was small, after that he had never been to a beach at all. Living in Tokyo had too much work and not enough time for beaches, he had always found something to do int he city, but here was different. He wasn't even sure this was a real school at all, more like a house for "special" children. Or so far thats what he thought, he had graduated from his high school before he came here, and expected it to be a sort of college, but it felt like a home for the unwanted. Kazu reached the sand and saw a clear view of the ocean meeting the land and off in the horizon the massive orb which was the sun shined brightly and sparkled int he water. He walked onto the sand, each step feeling as if his boot sank into the ground, but nothing to be worried about. Kazu walked slowly down the coast closest to the water feeling the water splash around his boots as it came in, wanting to take him away into the water. He breathed int he fresh ocean air, feeling some joy inside him, but he did not smile. Kazu was not the type hat smiled, anymore. He continued walking silently listening to the sounds around him, he had no idea to which direction he had gone in but continued anyways. He reached a large stone boulder that seemed to stick up like a lonely mountain over the sea, it looked flat enough on top so Kazu decided to get up on it, he did not feel like sitting in the sand. Reaching the top of the boulder Kazu lay down on his stomach on the edge and looked down at the water, his reflection looking back and the water sparkling from the sunlight.

Koichi fell back down onto the blanket; he wished he was that kitten right about now. Kitty just let her tail swirl around, perring and mewing softly, tormenting her owner. He made a mental note to not give the kitten yarn later, as payback. "You love that kitten, don't you?" he questioned softly, watching the two of them, no longer jealous; for the time being. He felt suddenly calm, instead. He wasn't quite sure why, but he knew he was at peace for the time being; maybe it was just because he was at the beach with Kana.

"She's really sweet," Kana replied, now holding the kitten in her arms against her chest. She peered down at it, then to Koichi. "I think it's easy to get along because I understand her," she smiled. Since they were both cats, it was obvious there'd be a connection. And Kana liked to cuddle things, to be perfectly honest. It was awkward with people, but with animals it was perfectly fine.
Kira had woken up semi-early, then just lounged around refusing to climb out of bed. She kind of felt like not moving, since yesterday had been so chaotic. But then she recalled she'd finally met someone, well, kind of... So, she made up her mind to go find him.
Now she was at the beach, recalling with dissatisfaction that this was the first place she'd met the guy who'd broken all her ribs. She touched her stomach lightly, then slowly made her way downt he beach. She'd found Kazu's scent, and had followed it all the way here. It was kind of nice out, and she was actually dressed warmly so she wasn't freezing or uncomfortable. Her pants were thick, black, and baggy. In one pocket was an mp3 player, the wire moving up to connect to the headphones she had over her human ears. Two cat ears were upon her head as well. So while she was listening to music, she could also hear the sounds around her. Her shirt was hidden from view by a thick black sweathirt, zipped almost all the way up to her neck, with sleeves that were too long for her arms. But that just mad eit more comfortable.
Black cat tail flicking behind her, Kira followed Kazu's scent all the way to a point in the beach, where a large rocky mound sat nestled in the water. She peered up it, then walked up to the edge, touching it lightly with her clawed hand. She smiled faintly, finding his scent on this rock as well. So, after just a small pause, she started scaling the side, making her way to the top. Her ankle was well enough that she could walk on it, but it was starting to feel sore again, and this rock climbing wasn't helping. But she still made it to the top, and peeked over the edge before actually pulling herself up, grinning lightly as she saw Kazu lying on the opposite end.
She scrambled to the flat top, and crept silently towards him, until she was right behind. "...morning," she said quietly, peering at him. Well, at least she'd kept herself from shouting and trying to scare him.

Koichi nodded his head, understanding what she was trying to say. He also knew the kitten was quite sweet. "I'm sure she finds you sweet, too," he grinned, knowing that's how he felt about her. He tilted his head, watching Kitty as she seemed tired yet still; she yawned some, stretching some. "She looks tired," he said softly. He wondered whether or not Kana was sleep, too, but didn't question her; he knew if she was tired, she'd [hopefully] say something.

Kana smiled happily, nodding her head. "I hope so!" She knew she could simply ask, but she'd feel weird in front of Koichi if she just suddenly started mewing like this kitten was. She laughed at the thought, then dropped to her side, careful not to land on the kitten. When she'd yawned, so had Kana. She let the kitten down on the blanket beside herself, made sure her hair wasn't near the flames this time, and then looked up at Koichi, since she was facing him. She was laying on her side, curled up, her tail curling over her waist and down across her stomach. "I'm tired too," she stated simply, rubbing at one eye.

As Kazu lay there looking down at the water lost in thought, listening tot he sounds of nature around him, he noticed that someone else had been coming his way. He had a good idea of who it might have been, but he was not too sure, and hoped whoever it was would just continue on their way and leave him alone. Kazu dropped a few tiny rocks into the water and watched as the watter rippled and the small rocks sank into the shallow watter before being taken away by a crash of a wave.
It was peaceful for him, he was beginning to enjoy the spot which he was laying on, and surely enough he would most likely spend tome here when he could. It was nice and quiet, away from people, and had an amazing view of the horizon which he now watched for a moment before turning back to the water.
Then he herd a voice behind him, just when he hoped the person was gone, his day was already ruined. He recognized the voice immediately. "What are you doing here?" He asked imposing more on the word "you" and turned around to face her. He looked at her with his bright yellow eyes like those of a cats which automatically adjusted to the change in light.

Koichi laughed softly, hearing what she said. He watched as Kitty curled up by Kana's stomach, falling alseep almost instantly. "Apparently, yawning is contagous with the two of you," he teased, reaching over and tucking some of Kana's heair behind her ear. "If you're tired, then don't force yourself to stay up," he said lightly, smiling at her. He didn't want her to feel like she had to stay up; that wouldn't be too fair, and he'd feel guilty once he found out.

Kira stared down at him for a moment, and then plopped right down where she stood, sitting with her legs crossed Indian style, hands gripping near the ankles. "That was rude," she replied, referring to the emphasis he'd put on 'you'. But she shrugged it off quickly, pushing herself to her knees and crawling on all fours towards the edge. She peered over like he had been doing, watching the water a little uncertainly. She knew how to swim, but she still didn't like it very much.
"Admiring the view," she responded, glancing at him once, and then peering out over the water. "I didn't notice this spot last time I came here."
Kana smiled up at Koichi, nodded her head lightly. One of her hands placed itself almost protectively around the kitten, out of instinct, even though there was nothing around she needed to protect it from. She didn't even seem to realize she'd done it, as she closed her eyes and snuggled against the blanket, face nuzzling against it again. "Okay.." she said quietly, biting back another yawn. "Goodnight, Koichi."

Kazu watched her for a moment longer without a reply, he was having the urge to just knock her off into the water and leave."Just because I said you had a chance, did not mean I said you could follow me around." Kazu said to her and stood up. "I was enjoying the view, until you came." He added and jumped off landing on the sand with his boots kicking up a small dust of sand everywhere. He walked alone the coast not went the opposite direction to see what else he could find, the girl sure was persistent. She just did not know when to leave, just kept talking on and on about nonsense. "Maybe I should have pushed her in." Kazu mumbled to himself with a silent chuckle as he walked along the dark wet sand which was now flawless after the waves had washed away his footsteps from before.

"A chance is wasted if you don't take action," Kira replied almost instantly, still not looking at him. Her ears twitched at his words, then dropped slightly as she closed her eyes for a moment. She'd ruined the view. Did that mean he was calling her ugly? Or was he just really mean? She wrinkled her nose, hearing him starting to leave. Only after she'd heard him jump off did she turn around, crawling to the edge of the rock again and staring after him.
She let out a sigh, debating what she should do. Follow or stay, follow or saty... She really didn't want him to hate her, though it might already be too late for that. She pouted childishly, feeling her ears drooping further. She tugged on one, and then started climbing carefully down the rock. She would've jumped it, but her ankle wasn't fully healed yet. So this put her kind of far behind him, but she guessed she didn't mind. Maybe he wouldn't notice right away that she was following again, and she'd have time to think of what to do.

Kazu knew she would follow him, say something completely pointless that he would not care about and expect an answer. And of course he blamed himself, after all he did help her and that was something that he now regretted. Now he knew that if he did help some people, they would follow him around like a stray animal, feed it once it follows you wanting more.
"If your going to follow me around all day, don't bore me to death. Since you already did ruin it by showing up here, now what the hell is there to do around here?" Kazu called out over his shoulder as he walked not even bothering to look back at what she was doing, following or not.
