"It was interestin'. Alex recalled. I fell down a hill...and got some pottery...and we checked out these really sweet lookin' ruins. I can still feel the tribal vibes comin' from em. We'll have to show you sometime." She looked down into the fire. "In any case, here are some more bowls for soup or liquids." She handed them over.

Aska took the pottery and gingerly examined it. In the firelight, faded intricate markings came into view, swirling and slashing in no particular fashion.
"These are super old," she said as she pushed her glasses up her nosebridge. "And are probably worth millions on eBay..."

Alex sighed. "Ahh.....eBay..." the name of the popular internet auction website came to her mind. "Website...Internet....HUMAN LIFE. Damn!" She cursed, "I hate being on this island...although...life is kind of nice when it's much simpler...." Wow I can't believe I just said that. Alex chuckled a bit. "Maybe we should save some and take care of them in case we DO get off this darn island. Then we'll be rich!" She laughed. "And until then, I could make some pottery out of clay from the mud in the river...." ((Actually did that at camp once, it was fun.))

Aska nodded in agreement, "Yes, the simple life is desirable...," she paused, "No tests to study for...no competitors to beat down into the dust..." she said with a chuckle. "I like it."
"Clay? I once had a pottery class in high school...I always made the pots lopsided though..."
((The camp sounds like fun! I had a pottery class...that I did bad in because I'm horrible at throwing pots... crying ))

She went to the back of the cave silently and sumped against the wall. She'd pulled out the small relic and was looking at it curiously in the dim light. It seemed to be some sort of calendar with small suns and moons carved into it. There were undecipherable runes all over it as well.

"Watcha got there, Destani?" Alex asked, moving over toward her. "Can you even see back there? Hardly any light..."

She looked up from her musings. "Oh yeah i can see alright and it looks like some sort of calendar It's got all sorts of intricate marks and runes all over it. Very interesting if I say so myself" The object was like a ball that had been squished a bit making it an oblong sort of shape.
