Hey, i just joined gaia. I ride a horse named Whiskey. She is a dapple gret 15.2 arab X Morgan mare. She is 7 years old, but i dont own her, i am leasing her. She is a great horse!!! heart

Name: Za Zarana(name of my horse that died sad )
Riding Style: used to ride nothing but western, and do western pleasure classes and barrels...but i'm learning dressage on my horse ghost(he doesn't like it too much!) heart
Favorite Breed: definatley quarter horses! i like big muscular horses! that's what ghost is, quarter horse/paint.
Own any horses? yes 2. Ghost and liberty. i told you what ghost is but liberty is an arabian.
Anything else? Liberty was born on the 4th of July so we named her Liberty Zee Star. liberty because of the 4th, Zee because her mother was Za Zarana, and Star because her sire is Kansas City Star. Zee(Za Zarana) died 3 weeks after lib was born, she was also my first horse.... crying

Style of Riding: western but i love bareback so much... hurts a bit, though lol
Favorite Breed of Horse: quarter horse or peruvian paso
Do you own a horse?: yeah, two. one bay quarter horse gelding named brandy and one percheron quarter horse black mare named shyan.
Anything else you'd like to say?: uh..... i like to compete with bareback bronc but i dont like to compete in anything else because my horses don't like to. plus i'd get too nervous, so i just don't do it. i do bronc rider pickup and calf/steer roundup with shyan, though. brandy's big but not big enough to throw his wieght around with bulls and broncs.

mostly i work my horses for fun and sometimes for other people who pay me to do farmwork.

Riding style: I ride only english. I have ridding in a western saddle but not showed in one. I'm pretty new at this (comparativly to most riders) . I've shown a little but only schooling shows. I hope to get my own trailer soon and hit the schooling show circuit around here .

Fav Breed: Friesains are why I ride horses. I grew up seeing them a lot as a Knights horse. Oddly my currents horse which he's half Percheron has given me a liking for them too. I do enjoy Arabians somewhat there a very nice breed just a little high strung for me (and well kinda small)

Own a horse: Golaith is his name . 7 year old Percheron / Quarter horse mix. He's young an still lacks experiance. What he lacks he makes up for in power and loyalty.



Extra stuff: Lets see I'm a male rider and 29. So to say I'm out of my element most the time in horse riding is putting it midly. Finding gear or anything my size or Golaith size even is a challenge. I like the sport a lot and the ranch I'm at goes a long way to helping me feel like I have a place. The hardest challenge is being who I am while doing this. In schooling shows theres me then about 12 other women all below the age of 20 and maybe 2 above the age of 40. I'm hoping here I can find a place to chat and just get to know the sport better. I'm recently divorced so keeping in the horse world is very hard for me. My ex-wife held my hand about everything so I'm having to do a lot of this on my own for the first time. My g/f now showed me Gaia and I like it a lot. To find horse stuff on it just pushed me over about it. I hope to get to know the people here and find the things I'm missing to be able to succed in the horse world for the goals that I have.
