"Get back where? Maybe I can help you get back..provide an escort in case that griffin tries anything?"

He knew she'd say no, you coudl tell by how she acted, but a glance over at Ecara. little girl was going to get herself drunk already and the boy wasn't even really gone yet. Oh she did have it bad. a slight chuckle and shake of his head, with a glance to Larissa.

She looked at him and blink, a sudden nagging urge in the back of her mind that was trying to tell her something important along the lines of get up and leave before the effects started to kick into a second phase. But to her it was just nagging. "South. I go south." Then she looked uninterested again. "He won't bother me again. His heart knows that." Another look to Janus, perhaps suspicious, perhaps asking something of him before anyone paying attention got a nod and Aiden walked out of the tavern.

Of course wine didn't have as hard as an affect on her. She could stomach more of that than anything else. But that was to be expected with the way wine was drunk around her and in her house. So she was halfway through a glass already.

"Wait a second."

He followed Aiden out of the tavern, though keeping an eye on the inside, and fumbled through his pockets for a second. he knew what we wanted nad were it was he was just trying to eat up a little time, before he picked out one of the necklaces his faithful offered, with the fiery opal in the center. he could hopefully track it with little effort, or have it tracked, if he could get her to wear it.

"Here's a little gift for you, something just to let you know how much some of us appreciate your company."

He handed it out to her, hoping she woudl take it, and through it, he might find out where she actually was from.

Those amber eyes were entranced and paying attention again, giving a hint she really did have a personality somewhere in that head of hers. And she did indeed take the necklace, looking up to meet his gaze. She almost smiled. "Thank you. And I will keep that in mind." Then she actually put it on, but probably because basic logic told her to. Again she turned from him and easily went as she came.

Janus nodded to her and smiled, there was a bit of a girl in there after all. she wasn't a complete emotionless robotic thing. before he went back into the tavern, giving a glance to Ecara, and settling back down by Larissa.

"Hopefully I'll be able to track her now to wherever it is she comes from. or at least where she goes to until that necklace gets taken off her neck or falls off."

and another drink of whiskey, and another glance at Ecara.

"Oh come on he's not even that far gone yet and your going to get drunk already?"
PostPosted: Sat Jun 04, 2005 1:59 am

An almost poisonous look was turned on Janus, with ears pinned back and everything. "You offered a drink, I am taking your offer. This is not about Tyler." She shrugged. "Besides, I told him earlier that he needed to go out on his own more, this only makes him take my suggestion." And Ecara finished her first drink, and then ordered a second for the trip. "If you'll excuse me I have to go write a letter to my mother and fathers. If he does come looking for me, tell him I'm with Keligrin." Janus and Larissa both got a half cute snort from her as she walked off and upstairs with her drink.

Larissa watched the exchange with interest and sipped her own wine. "That's interesting." She waited until Janus came back and then she said, "So you give her a trinket with a dark purpose." A embittered laugh. "Of course it's with a secondary purpose." She shook her head and took another drink, still irritated with herself that she had let him win that round. or maybe not. Maybe her plan was to let him win the battle, while she won the war. That would really get to him, wouln't it? Yes, the very thoguht of that made her smile. Then she bristled at his comment, even though it wasn't directed at her. "Do you really flatter yourselves with the idea that the minute you remove your glorious presence we must get drunk? Apparantely we can't live without you." She shook her head, drained her glass and stood, pulling her cloak tightly around her body. Giving a nod to the tender she said very softly, "It's all on his tab. Mine, the boy's and the girl's." The tender nodded and chuckled lightly then went on with his duties. Larissa gave a sweet smile to Janus and said, "I suppose I'll come back later to find out if anything new has been learned. Until then I bid you adieu."

Janus had opened his mouth to retort, before she was bidding him good day and he smirked lightly, and got himself up. She wasn't getting out of this that easily.

"Well let me walk you at least to the outskirts. After all, wouldn't want you stumbling into another Tavern to get drunk without my glorious presence, now would I."

She wanted to be a smartass about it, well so coudl he.

"And you know damn good and well that's not what I ment in the first place. last time that girl had half a glass of scotch and could barely think straight, and there she was guzzling down wine. what else was I supposed to think she was drinking over?"

He gave her a little bit of an annoyed snort as well.

"Besides, I've seen a few girls do exactly that. and I'm sure, my little woodland lady, you've seen a few men in your time do the same thing once you leave them behind."

She rolled her eyes and bit back a sigh of exasperation. Through clenched teeth she said, "I'm sure you don't have to worry about that. I promise not to go stumbling into anymore taverns." She finally just let him walk with her, not like she had much of a choice anyway. Slanting him an annoyed look she said, "Well, wine had different effects than scotch. Scotch is hard liquor, wine is not." Then a small smirk, "Ah yes those pathetic men who think I 'complete' them or such nonsense like that." She shook her head and sighed, "Alas it has happened far too often for my tastes." See how he reacted to that one. She began to worry though, how was she going to get rid of him before she came to her glen?

"I'm sure it has. You're kin are the Sirens of the woodlands. as for scotch being more so than wine..yes. but didn't you see that fact she guzzled half a wine glass in like two swallows? if that ain't a sign of someone who wants to get drunk, what is?"

He kept pace with her, noting her start to get a little fidgity. Though he raised an eyebrow.

"What did you think I was going to be one of those types? You were being a smartass, we both know it, and what better way to curb a smartass then take thier word at face value."

He chuckled lightly, but didn't leave her side, almost daring her to say something or get mroe fidgity and nervous, while he acted like nothign was out of sorts at all.

Keligrin, one who could be considered a living gargoyle of sorts, walked in heavy steps down the tavern stairs. In his massive hold he had Ecara, sleeping against him. She may maybe the slightest bit drunk but she would be fine in the morning. Having written her letters and given then to him she had pretty much just fallen asleep in his room. And of course that wouldn't do. So with a sleeping Ecara in hold he made his way out of the tavern and down the streets. Lucky for Kelly, he knew where the two youngsters lived, and as he tried the doorknob he made a note to remind them to lock their door when they went out. Kids, always forgetting things. With a sigh he walked in and merely laid Ecara down, taking off her boots and pulling the cover over her to effectively tuck her in for the night, before locking the door and making his way back to the tavern. He had work in the morning.

She supposed she had to concede that to him. It was true, Ecara had jumped for the wine relatively fast but maybe it had just been to steady her nerves. She wasn't going to say anything about that though. She tried to act like nothing was wrong...but she was worried. This was not a good idea and she had no idea how she was going to ditch him. She did take offense to being called a smartass. "Thank you Mr. Rune. Any thoughts I may have had about you in that area, well you have certainly made up my mind on that, now haven't you? You are not nor do you know the meaning of 'gentleman' and I'll not mistake you for one again."

((You two are going to have to just catch up your day.))

Ecara jumped awake with a snort, starting into a panic attack as she reached out for Tyler in the bed and well he wasn't there. A look around the room, ears in a worried position. "Tyler? Ty?" Obviously he wasn't here. Getting out of bed she walked to the window, it was morning. Maybe he went to the tavern for breakfast? Walking back over to the bed she grabbed the blade boots that were once her mother's and slipped them on, giving hte toes a tap on the ground before heading outside.

The woman stood back in the shadows watching with wide, curious eyes. She looked normal, human, blonde hair, blue eyes wearing clothes that signified she might be a worker at a tavern, more confirming this is the fact that that is where she was facing away from. Walking quickly the woman came out of the shadows with her head down and side rammed into Ecara, yanking out a piece of fur from her tail, unnoticed. She kept her head down but mumbled an apology and kept walking, while she was out of sight from Ecara for just a split second, she changed appearances to a taller woman with brown hair and a plain pair of pants with a tank top and turned into an alleyway. Tonight she would have fun and make friends.

A squeak was given by Ecara as she was practically rammed into and felt a pain in her tail. Looking at it she figured it had gotten in the way and thus crushed between the two of them. Then a mumbled apology. "It's alright." Ecara was used to being pushed around anyway. But as she started to walk away Ecara turned to stop and ask a question, looked like she worked at the tavern, maybe she knew if Tyler was there. "Hey wait a..." But to her actual surprise, the girl was gone. "Odd." But then she sighed and merely continued to the tavern in search of her friend.
