I think it was sorta the fault of the potion. But, this make her realize a bit more how she felt about Daisuke. 3nodding
She started thinking about why she saw Daisuke after Dark kissed her, when the potion was dropped. She thought that it was because she was crazy, but then started feeling jealous because Daisuke putted all of his attention towards Risa.

Hmm... very good question. I've never even stopped to consider it.
I'm not going to go on the anime, because that's riddled with inconsistancies and I fancy myself for the most part anti-DNAngel anime.
First off, Dark did like Riku before Daisuke ever stopped to notice her. I say like because he spotted her on the balcony that first night and "oh! suddenly I feel myself falling in love!" (*sing-song voice* Oh, how completely unrealistic~!)
Riku, for her part, admits in the second volume of the manga to have noticed Daisuke before the story began.
Riku: "Hey Daisuke... aren't we taking the hard route?"
Daisuke: "Huff... Yes... But it's the fastest. We need to get your leg looked at right away. I think we might be close now..."
Riku: 'He's really sweating... climbing for twenty minutes straight...'
Daisuke: "Riku... how's your leg? Does it hurt?"
Riku: 'Yes, of course it hurts... but you're the one I'm worried about... you're trying so hard.' "Like I'd ever say that..."
Daisuke: "What?"
Riku: 'But I knew... after two years in class together... I knew you were like this. [Remembers watching Daisuke help clean the classroom after school] No matter how silly or hopeless something is... you always do your best... [Remembers Daisuke jumping off the cliff to save her from falling--"Riku!"] He looks kind of wimpy but... he's not weak. He always thinks about how he can do his best...'
While I'm not sure if Riku sincerely loves Daisuke or not--due to both the fact that she's only 14 and it's very rare for 14 year olds to experience the true feeling that is romantic love for another person, and also to the fact that your theory about that potion may be correct--she's known him for a long time and she's willing to get to know him. I believe that what she may have for him could very possibly turn into true love with or without a potion.
As for Daisuke's part, I think that it's entirely possible for him to also fall in love with Riku (once again, with or without the potion) or it could turn out that he's not truly in love with Riku at all. There are just too many answers left unanswered at this point.
I'm going to switch my arguement to Dark now. Yes, he did "love" Riku first. I'm partial to the idea that he only really liked her based on her looks because he doesn't even know her in the beginning. He might have an awareness of who she is through Daisuke's eyes, but he's never had the opportunity to actually sit down and talk to her.
However, as time goes on, one must notice that Dark's eyes tend to wander over to Risa, especially since the moment that she kissed him after the play. His sudden attentiveness to this Harada twin is very obvious when they go on the mixed up crazy date in volume 10. His in depth conversations with Risa really reveal how much she's breaking down his barriers with her blind young infatuation. I think that he fully realizes how much he's becoming attached to her at this point:
Dark: Listen, Risa... if I... if I was a monster... what would you do?
Risa: A monster?
Dark: Yeah... if I wasn't human... but something else.
[Daisuke: What on earth is he talking about?]
Dark: Something supernatural.
[Daisuke: Dark?]
Dark: What would you do?
Risa: .......... I would love you.
[Dark looks surprised]
Risa: If that... was who you were... I would still love you.
[Daisuke: I... could only stay quiet... and listen... to the truth of what they were saying. I felt like... it was something I shouldn't hear...]
Dark: Let's go... Princess... For today only...
[Daisuke: I knew that for Dark... while feeling Risa's sincere answer... piercing eternally through his heart...]
Risa: Today only?
[Daisuke: ... he was eventually going to end things with her.]
Dark: ... I will be yours... And yours alone... Your Phantom Thief Dark.
This passage speaks volumes of a depth to Dark's thoughts and it shows a side of Risa that a lot of people miss.
Therefore, while I know that Dark liked Riku to begin with, I think that his feelings for Risa have grown to cover over those he had for Riku.
And Riku's feelings pertaining to Dark? Well, you have a point, she does always blush when he's mentioned or brought up, but in my eyes, I think that she's more amused/annoyed at Dark. I don't really think that she'd have a romantic interest in him other than maybe that, for one, when she looks at him sometimes she thinks that he resembles someone that she hasn't bothered to tell Daisuke aboout yet.
It's possible that there's crush material there, but Riku's personality tells me that she needs more than looks to actually really begin to like a guy, and a lot of the time she seems unwilling to give that to him. I think the only bonding time the two get is when Riku goes with Dark to the land of Dark and Ice, but that wasn't nearly long enough to truly create something that would last. I guess that we'll see with the next volume of DNAngel, huh?
Ehh... but just so you know, some of the pairings I've defended here, or shot down... are not necessarily ones I like. I'm not a fan of DarkRiku nor of DarkRisa, although there are implications. My pairings are KradDark and SatoDai (my DNAngel TTP-Two True Pairings-) and then DaisRiku and SatoRisa after that. If you like DarkRiku and it doesn't happen, that's okay. It doesn't mean that you can't still like it!

Oh, wow...I totally didn't think of that. Hm...well, Daisuke fell in love with her on his own, so I think she would have fallen in love with him anyway.

But why DOES it have con at the end.....? That threw me off.... but that's interesting too... I prefer the whole "wait until you're older" type of yaoi since the thought of little boys going at it is.... immoral....

Shearis Wow I Really need to read all the manga... I hade no idea all that happened... xp From watching the anime I think she likes him but as far as th manga gose well I don't know... i have to agree. according to the anime she seems to really love him but i havent read the mangas yet. so who knows!

SelenaxKurashina i've had this question on my mind for quite awhile..... just wondering.....
according to the manga... you know how Dark stole the Angelic Potion or whatever... and hid in Riku's room... then Dark kisses Riku... and the droplets of the potion fell on her...? does Riku fall in love with Daisuke because she saw his face right after the potion dripped on her? if so... does that mean Riku would have fallen in love with Dark if Dark hadn't changed to Daisuke?

not to sound rude, but you can never trust the anime over the manga. manga always wins. regardless, you do have a good point it did spill on her, but she loves him now and how her previous feelings for him will remain a mystery since it was never displayed in the manga how she felt about him...other than that he was a loser xp
