Can I have a cup of coffee, a turkey sandwich and a slice of pumpkin pie? *pours coffee out of lime green pot* Half n Half? Milk? Sugar? Or just black? *takes loaf of bread out of oven* My, you're lucky! We just made a fresh loaf of bread for sandwiches! *hands over sandwich and condiments* *cuts extra large slice for Rita* A-la-mode? My coffe senses had a rather disturbing incident today...
Full story: about three years ago, one of my stocking stuffers was a
container of 'Nescafe" insta-coffee. All was well with the world that Christmas, for it was actually very good for some meager powdered coffee.
I was looking in the insta-drink area of the cupboard today, and discovered that that same coffee powder is still there. Three
years later. It was stuck together worse than wet sand. But as it
turned out, still quite tasty...

*stands at door wondering what to do...slowly opens door and is greeted with a flurry of aromas, not least of which is freshly brewed coffee and hot-out-of-the-oven croissants* I have died and gone to heaven *picks a small table near the window to watch the morning foot traffic*
I've heard a lot of good things about this place, but I'm shy about trying new things. If I may have a coffee and a couple of the croissants with a side of strawberry jam, please. Oh, if I could have a non-dairy creamer for the coffee, if you have it. Thank you.
