Not exactly. The one on the booklet is shaped a tiny bit different, not to mention the size and lighting are completely different. The sillouette effect on the movie poster is a nice touch, where as the cheesey lightning on the SotN manual is kind of reminiscent of ATHF.

Zippo. No news at all. Usually that's how it is till not long before a movie's release. The Eva movie has had the same info for over a year or something now.

Honestly, doing a starting Castlevania movie with anyone other than Simon is kinda a waste, since if you're not an avid CV fan, you most likely aren't going to recognize any other Belmont name other than Simon.
From what I've heard, this movie is supposed to delve into the "beginnings" of Dracula, then go on to feature the Belmont's. Of course, whether this is Paul Anderson's take on how Dracula came to be in the series, or an interpretation in the same vein IGA meant it to flow into....is anyone's guess.
I stand by my statement that Castlevania should never be made a life-action movie. Ever. It'd get raped.

And then, they made her a slutty angry police officer ... They ruined her ... RUINED ... .. For all those crazed people out there saying ludacrice things like "Resident Evil is a good movie!" NO! *slaps wrist* That's a bad teenage hormone, bad! That's madness! *Final Paul Anderson movie rant until the CV movie* RESIDENT EVIL was NOT I say NOT a good movie. Whether you played the game or not, it's BAD. Let's look at very basic evidence... 1. Milla Yovavich CANNOT act! She was a model, and nothing more... Her being in movies is a testament to how lousy movies are becoming. And she's not hot! She is built like a 5 year old boy! 2. The plot was terrible for both! Made Kill Bill look original. 3. You can't snap a zombies neck with your hands... That's bullshit. You can't kick a zombie dog in the face and kill it that way. It would get you first! 4. The effects were terrible... The CG could have been created by a 15 year old in a computer graphics class. Nemesis = Ninja Turtle and zombies sucked. How are you gonna have crappy zombies in a zombie movie?! 5. For RE fans, ALL the RE characters were destroyed, replaced and bested by the 5 year old boy that is Milla Yovavich. Paul Anderson the man that brought us: Mortal Kombat Annihilation, Event Horizon, AVP, RE(Apocalypse), is going to bring us Castlevania... OOohh, I agree with most of what you said. Milla is a shitty actor... They screwed the whole series over with the first movie... the zombies were all right, the Licker WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN RE 1, ONLY IN RE2 DAMN IT! The CG stuff was actually pretty good, I just hated the little girl, the Red Queen... Bitchy child D:. Lol, Nemisis= Ninja Turtles xDD... Nemisis was... eh, needed a little more.. 'emotion'...? not the right word I'm looking for but maybe more 'nemisis personality'. As for Milla replacing all the beloved RE characters, the director can shove the T-virus up his a** and quit his directing years... NOW, before he screws up another good videogame series... About RE2 movie... Jill Valentine= Was not a complete big breasted psycho b***h in the game who had to look so bad a** infront of the camera and have an attidude with everything.... And Michelle Rodriguez was SO MUCH BETTER than Milla playing a crap main character D:.> but I hate it that they just made him for comedy relief... -_-; Well... I hope they don't make whichever Belmont they're using as the main a crappy actor... I swear if they have Alucard look ridicoulous... *Pulls the Vampire Killer out* All hell will break loose with the CV fans!!
